Carter Stooge Zbigniew Brzezinski: U.S. should shoot down Israeli Air Force jets if they attack Iran, calls Iraq “our” (U.S.) airspace

Imagine if Cheney or Rice called the skies above Iraq “our airspace”. The libtards in the state-controlled media would have a hissy-fit. And I guess the worst President of the last 100 years, Jimmah Carter, wasn’t the only anti-Semite/Israel-hater/Jew-hater in that pathetic administration:

Zbigniew Brzezinski: Shoot Down Israeli Planes if They Attack Iran
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for U.S. President Barack Obama, has called on the president to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran. “They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?” said the former national security advisor to former U.S. President Jimmy Carter in an interview with the Daily Beast. Brzezinski, who served in the Carter administration from 1977 to 1981, is currently a professor of American foreign policy at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies in Maryland.

“We have to be serious about denying them that right,” he said. “If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a ‘Liberty’ in reverse.’” Israel mistakenly attacked the American Liberty ship during the Six-Day War in 1967.

Brzezinski was a top candidate to become an official advisor to President Obama, but he was downgraded after Republican and pro-Israel Democratic charges during the campaign that Brzezinski’s anti-Israel attitude would damage Obama at the polls.

President Obama’s advisors have emphasized that the former national security advisor is not playing any unofficial role as advisor to the White House.

His enthusiasm for President Obama has waned in the past several months. He recently told a London-based newspaper that the United States may be “sliding into a deeper conflict with various segments of the world of Islam ” because of the president’s failure to carry out his promises to the Muslim world.

Brzezinski said the Obama administration is “diddling around” in trying to reach an “evasive compromise” between Israel and the Arab world.

JUNE 6, 2008 -Ask many American Jews what they think about Zbigniew Brzezinski, a former national security advisor who served under President Carter, and you’ll receive a multitude of comments of which the vast majority aren’t particularly favourable. These comments can perhaps best be summed up in one sentence. “He’s no friend of Israel.”

Brzezinski that aging Jew hater longs for the good old days in Poland where the pogromists knew how to put their Jews in their place. I can see where Mika gets her (lack of ) brains from.

Menachem Begin referred to Brzezinski as an “ocher Yisrael” which means in Hebrew “Israel hater.”

Killing Jewish Airmen is a longtime fantasy of the radical pro-Pali Left. The perception being “if they didn’t have that Air Force, they’d be dead”. Which is kind of true.
The fact that Obama is entertaining such blatant anti-Semites says a lot about him.

Daniel Pipes has a wonderful article in the Middle East Quarterly Fall edition about why Israel needs to win a full victory over the Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” rather than trying to negotiate with them for peace.

…But who does not win, loses. To survive, Israelis eventually must return to their pre-1993 policy of establishing that Israel is strong, tough, and permanent. That is achieved through deterrence — the tedious task of convincing Palestinians and others that the Jewish state will endure and that dreams of elimination must fail.

This will not be easy or quick. Due to missteps during the Oslo years and after (especially the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza of 2005 and the Lebanon war of 2006), Palestinians perceive Israel as economically and militarily strong but morally and politically weak. In the pungent words of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Israel is “weaker than a spider’s web.” Such scorn will likely require decades of hard work to reverse. Nor will it be pretty: Defeat in war typically entails that the loser experience deprivation, failure, and despair.

Israel does enjoy one piece of good fortune: It need only deter the Palestinians, not the whole Arab and Muslim populations. Moroccans, Iranians, Malaysians, and others take their cues from the Palestinians and with time will follow their lead. Israel’s ultimate enemy, the one whose will it needs to crush, is roughly the same demographic size as itself.

This process may be seen through a simple prism. Any development that encourages Palestinians to think they can eliminate Israel is negative, any that encourages them to give up that goal is positive.

The Palestinians’ defeat will be recognizable when, over a protracted period and with complete consistency, they prove that they have accepted Israel. This does not mean loving Zion, but it does mean permanently accepting it — overhauling the educational system to take out the demonization of Jews and Israel, telling the truth about Jewish ties to Jerusalem, and accepting normal commercial, cultural, and human relations with Israelis.

Palestinian démarches and letters to the editor are acceptable but violence is not. The quiet that follows must be consistent and enduring. Symbolically, one can conclude that Palestinians have accepted Israel and the war is over when Jews living in Hebron (on the West Bank) have no more need for security than Arabs living in Nazareth (in Israel)…

I’m with him all the way to the end of the article except in the very last line when he suggests negotiating with the Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” after they have been defeated. The Allies didn’t negotiate with Germany or Japan after WWII. The whole idea of negotiating with the losers of a war is wrong (although it’s definitely a necessity for Israel to win the current war). It only encourages the losers to start things up again.

Other than the last line of this piece, it is excellent in explaining what has gone wrong in the last 16 years and why (Oslo).

    Peace Process or War Process?

I agree with you 100%. The Arabs have only understood strength. When they have been beaten, they still claim that they won. Look at the 6 day war as told in Egytpian history books. The only way (I hate to say it) is to crush them totally and dictate terms.

That’s how all wars should be fought. In this modern age, I fear that the most free nations of the world cannot bear to commit the acts of war that are needed to achieve victory.

I’m certain our enemies know this. The idea of Iran having nuclear weapons should frighten anybody with common sense. Of course, the left doesn’t have common sense so they don’t care.

This can’t be allowed to happen.

If Iran got nukes, I fully believe they would use them. And if they didn’t, they would still use the threat of using them to bully their demands from weak-willed, gutless nations of the world of which we are rapidly becoming one.

The Arabs have only understood strength. When they have been beaten, they still claim that they won. Look at the 6 day war as told in Egytpian history books.

Several years ago, I was participating in a forum that had both Jewish and Arab Muslim chat rooms (all in English) and I peeked into the Arab Muslim chat room to see what was going on.

They were talking about how the Arabs had supposedly won the Six Day War. One Arab woman was LOL-ing herself almost to death about how funny and wonderful it was that the Arabs won the Sinai away from Israel during the Six Day War in 1967. They were all saying that Israel had lost the war.

Who knows what the Arab countries teach about Israel in their schools (aside from the usual Jewish horns and tails stuff, I mean).

That is why, post-9-11, we should have delt them a blow that they could never pretend was not an utter, unmitigated defeat. Bush made a grave mistake when he changed the name of peration Infinite Justice to Operation enduring Freedom because of Mohammedan objections. had I been President, I would have asked them how they liked the sound of “Operation Orbital Fury”, instead?

In this modern age, I fear that the most free nations of the world cannot bear to commit the acts of war that are needed to achieve victory.

The free nations of the world are so influenced by the left these days that they see it as “mean” and evil to win a war.

This notion has gone so far overboard that the losing (weak) party ends up with all the strength in “peace negotiations.”

I’ve seen it called “the tyranny of the weak.”

War is hell and needs tobe so we don’t have to fight it but… Some people still want to take whats yours no matter what and you have to stop them. Only way to do that is make them not want to. In war that means destroying their means and will to fight. The Arabs hate the Jews (not Israelis since some of them are Arabs). They will NEVER change since its part of their culture and religion. There is only one choice at this point. The Arab countries must be shown that fighting them is bad in no uncertain terms… Personally that won’t work until they are conquered.

While campaigning, Obama pretended to be pro-Israel.

Even now, he is pretending to be siding with the Arab world so much because he thinks it’s the best way to help Israel achieve peace. (Rubbish!)

He wanted to give a speech to Israeli voters on TV in Israel to explain why it would be good for Israel to have peace (as if Israelis don’t know why peace is a good thing AND as if Israelis are somehow misunderstanding him when he claims he can bring peace to the Israelis).

Obama seems to have given up the notion of speaking on Israeli TV, however, after some op-ed writers in Israel pointed out that the problem isn’t that the Jews in Israel don’t know Obama well enough. The problem for Obama is that they know him too well.

What you said. And that is the reason so many of us died in the mid stages of the Iraqi war.
Marines operating on a hair trigger with seconds to respond or be dead had to worry about the politically correct sobs that shadowed every move ie;the embeded press.

Was that corpse you shot threatening you? Hell yeah he was loaded with explosives just waiting for you to check his pulse. These sorry ass arm chair generals in Washington and wherever need to be muzzled until they get out there themselves and really KNOW what they are talking about. Military do not deserve the treatment they are getting. They have one arm tied behind their backs and now that President Wee Wee is in there they also have one leg dragging a ball and chain. There never needed to be hundreds of thousands of troops. There only needed to be troops with the freedom to make war the right way.The only way to win.

Obama thought the whole Arab-Israeli conflict was just soooo simple that he could order Israel to halt all construction in the existing settlements and it would jump-start the “peace” process.

Instead, Abu Mazen responded by creating a list of pre-conditions that he’d never asked of any prior Israeli government. Obama’s move was yet another liberal problem with unintended consequences.

I’m sure Obama is blaming Israel for his own mistake, though.

Time Magazine has Glenn Beck on the cover this week. He’s sticking his tongue out.

It’s actually a positive article about him (except for a few liberal lies here and there, which were to be expected), though. Beck is also described as doing extremely well.

Time Magazine did lie when they appeared to claim that Glenn Beck made up the issue of Obama wanting a civilian force in America that would be as strong and as well funded as the American military. They actually quoted the line from Obama in a video he’d made, but they wrote it as if they were quoting it from Beck instead and that it’s far-fetched.

Time Magazine does admit that the people of America are ticked off and upset about Obama’s policies, though.

Bluntly, if Obama were completely open about his disdain for Israel, and his personal affinity to the Palestinians, the majority of the Jews would still have voted for him. If he proclaimed he desired a Judenrein Palestine from the River to the Sea, it might cost him a few points in the polls.

If he appeared on stage with some Nazi relic and proclaimed his allegiance to refounding the Third Reich, I have no doubt that he’d still win more Jewish votes than the Republican.

It is like the black vote going Democrat. Objectively, it makes no sense. The Republicans ended slavery, the Democrats were for it. The Democrats of the Democrat Solid South were for seggregation. Orvil Faubus, Bull Connor, and all the nastiest people from the seggregation era were Democrats. Eisenhauer sent in the troops to enforce deseggregation . Eisenhauer was a Republican. Yes, a Democrat President signed the various Civil Rights laws, but they were passed with more Republican votes than Democrat votes.

George Bush, in 2000, reached out to the black vote more than any Presidential Candidate has (except maybe Jesse Jackson). The NAACP responded by running ads essentially claiming he was an undicted co-conspirator to a lynching. Despite this, he put African-Americans into more positions of real power than any President ever, and that includes the current Administration.

More blacks voted against him than has ever been done in history.

At some point, you have to stop trying to understand things, and just accept that that is the way they are. And go on.

    Quite true!

Actually, if you’ve noticed lately — Israel’s government spokespeople are starting to point out that one of the biggest problems in getting a peace agreement with Abu Mazen and company is that they will never agree that the agreement would mark the END of the conflict.

The words “end of conflict” are coming up a lot (in addition to Israel’s demand that the Arabs recognize Israel’s right to exist as the National Jewish Homeland and limit any new Arab state called “Palestine” to be a completely de-militarized state).

Arafat made it crystal clear in 2000 that no peace agreement with him would include the stipulation that the conflict was now ended. He/they always want to be allowed to come back for more (no matter what they might ever sign).

There was never going to be a peace agreement and I don’t think there will ever be one unless Israel vanquishes the Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” so completely that they don’t have anyone from Fatah or Hamas (or Islamic Jihad, etc.) left to sign it.

The Republicans will never get a majority of teh Hispanic vote because a large chunk is brainwashed in NY, Illinois and California. However getting 40-45% is enough to put the Dems away. I agree. It is simply a waste of time for the GOP to try and reach out to the black community. Certainly, where you have good, qualified people who happen to be black you put them in the positions that they are qualified for (I think both Powell and Rice did as good as anyone could have done with the entrenched beaurocracy at State. I don’t know what, short of firing the whole department, top to bottom, and hiring a completely new State Department, can be done), but outreach to the entire community looks like a waste of time. We are better cultivating the Hispanic community where they will at least listen to us.

That isn’t a good answer. It isn’t what I’d like to be true. Give the GOP 25%, just 25% of the black vote and the Republicans own the White House and both houses of Congress. But that isn’t going to happen for the foreseeable future.

Personally, I am beginning to see the Arab-Israel conflict as nothing more than a test between G-d and Am Israel regarding Faith.

He stated that he would give Jews the land (He did), and that we would be gathered in (we were), then He gave Jews great victories for further proof….

When all the eyes, and hearts of Am Israel look towards Tzion, and know of G-d, and our rightful place…the war will end!

The Arabs have never defeated Israel, it has ALWAYS been the people of Israel themselves. It was Israel that allowed the PLO, it was Israel itself that allowed Gaza, it was Israel itself that gave away land…

We cannot be defeated, we can only defeat ourselves. Just like we did when the 2nd Temple was destroyed and we were sent into The Nations.

Thanks! Personally, most conservative positions are just practical common sense. The idea that free people, unencumbered by the restrictions of a powerful government can produce more wealth is not really a new idea. It has been tested, mostly in reverse, in many places. An un-free society deginerates and ultimately falls, and it produces lower standards of living for its citizens in the process. Socialism has been tried all over the world in the last 100-150 years, and it has failed everywhere it has been tried.

Where conservatives fail is where they don’t live up to their ideals. Freedom for all means that some people are going to make decisions you disagree with. That is their right. Back in the early ’90s I had a friend who was a libertarian. She argued that the freedom to fail was as essential to liberty as any other freedom. Certainly, the nanny state that cossets you cradel to the grave is a dead end for both the individual and the society.

Congratulations on coming over to the Dark Side! Bring all your friends!

I have always seen it as the rankest of hypocracy (and willful ignorance) for the people who claim that the “Palestinians” have a deep historical tie to the land of “Palestine” turn around and parrot the “Palestinian” demand for a Jew-free Judea.

Words fail me. You simply can’t take such people seriously.

There should be a law against hooking up the internet to trailers.

Congratulations on coming over to the Dark Side! Bring all your friends!

    Thanks! :-)

Actually, I’ve been a conservative since October 2001.

I have a good friend from Manhattan who became a conservative Jew in the mid-1980s. He started reading about the history of the Arab world and visiting various Arab countries. This personal research flipped him decisively to the right. He finally understood at that point what Israel was up against.

It’s common sense, as you said!

    Absolutely!

Jews are quite literally “The Judeans” (in English) yet it’s become the left wing mantra that Judea needs to be “Judean-free” (free of “The Judeans”).

    It’s insanity!

I have only gotten about 3:44 in on this clip, but so far so good, I think you all might find it very intersting.

If it goes sour hereafter…(shrugs shoulders)…sorry!

    Let’s discuss:

You were closer to the truth than I’ve been about this until very recently.

Most people don’t realize that the Palestine Mandate still designates all the land as the Jewish Homeland because it’s still part of the UN Charter. I didn’t know this either until a few months ago.

I watched most of this wrath. This young man should be commended but isn’t everything he so painstakingly endeavored the duty of the UN?It never ceases to amaze that immunization, clean water and other basics are considered miraculous?

Lovely sentiment but I’m too old and cynical to be enthusiastic about small steps that should have been taken decades ago.

Wrath, is this prayers for kidnapped/murdered IDF soldiers? So moving.

I’m sure you know there many Christians like myself who have Israel in our prayers every day.

Yes, everything you say is correct. What I find most interesting is how stuck in their ways, and unable the Arabs were to get past their hatred.

A guy comes in and says let’s have peace, and the Arabs say “but you showed a Jew!”

    Typical!

Yes- Samantha Powers published her stance that the United States should send troops into Israel to protect the Palestinians from the IDF. I don’t know specifically when this was her public opinion; I came accross it while doing extensive Obama research during the campaign. Can’t give the link off hand -- it’s in one of six copy-paper sized boxes of research results re: Obama/family/associates.
