I guess like The Zero’s™ economic stimulus, pimping jeans and Kindles from Amazom.com isn’t working for Chuckles either…

I just noticed that at the bottom of EVERY THREAD at Nancy’s cesspool is a request to “Hit The Tip Jar”.

If you noticed this before, sorry for being “late to the game”, but it’s a busy week in the land of the employed, no thanks to the economic mess The Zero™ and the libtards have us in.

Which is NOT meant to denigrate those who are unemployed, and actually searching for work.

But it seems that a lot of these chronically unemployed cretins seem to post 24/7 at Nancy’s cesspool, rather than seeking legitimate employment.

The unemployment checks will end eventually, Sharmie, Irish Rose and the rest of you losers at 1.0 depending on The Zero™ and the libtards us taxpayers to support you and your families.

Rather than wasting your time on Nancy’s pathetic liberal blog, here’s a suggestion- www.monster.com, and www.careerbuilder.com could help you out in your job, ahem, search.

Oh, no charge for the job-hunting advice, since you probably donated your last nickel to Chuckles.

Considering that most of the regular posters/ass-kissers there are chronically unemployed losers with no lives whatsoever, that’s not surprising, and his “hit the tip jar” request will probably be as successful as pimping jeans and Kindles from amazon.com, unless Chuckles starts accepting EBT/food stamps.

Oh, and this is also a late night/early morning open thread…

The Netanyahu thread was interesting today. It looked like Charles was feeling out the room, he introduced it in very neutral language and just opened discussion without endorsing Bibi. When he saw almost everyone was pro-Bibi he got on the bandwagon. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen him waiting to see which way the wind blows (must need a weatherman).

OK, this seems to be a slow start to this thread, so I’m going to flex my delusion-muscles and tell you what theories I’ve come up with for the LGF incident.
#1 Charlie is doing a PhD dissertation. It’s a psychology test about Cults and The Stockholm Syndrome.

#2 Charlie wants out of LGF and is in cahoots with Rodan and crew here to give the “banned” a place to go. (not really plausible!)

#3 It’s all a big set-up to start a FLAME-BLOG-INTERNET WAR so huge that the big “0″(pronounced zero) will step in and put limits on the internet. (hhhhmmmmm…screenplay idea)

#4 Charles, Rodan, LGF, Blogmocracy, your computer are all an illusion. You are in restraints in a mental hospital, Regan is still president, and I own my own island off the coast of North West Australia. (I like that one)

This one is in the group that primarily saw the blog as a sort of chat room substitute for a pub, they feel offended because they want to talk smack and feel part of a group with a very narrow world view. But oh dear, now that the Gaffer allowed girls into the pub they take their toys and go home. Childish.

Even though I’m weeding through Oct 2002 right now, all the old posts show up surrounded by real time ads. The little stealth tip jar is real hokey. The real categories of those who have been banned are as follows:
    People who question Obamacare.
People who believe that Obama meant what he said in his autobiographies.
People who have served in the military (it scares CJ that we know how to deal with jihadists in the real world).
People who don’t buy the CJ-PC line on every Religio-political issue.
People whose names rhyme with “purple”.
People who believe that Iran is going to nuke the fuck out of any country without “Islamic Republic” in their Nation’s name.
People who have watched LGF’s decline into a Leftist tower of Babel.
    People who wear argyle socks.
People who don’t wear reflective clothing while bicycling through wine country.
People who believe that only little girls and hardcore bikers wear ponytails when they’re 50 years old.
People who….yeah I’m bored now. You can fill in the rest.

Right now I’m just making hardcopies of all the ones that point to Charles’s hypocrisy and changed focus. It’s a slow tedious process because I’m going through them one by one, a little each day, but when I’m finally done it’ll be quite a portfolio. Charles is a slippery little fish…but every now and then he let his guard down well enough that he tacked himself into an opinion (as opposed to innuendo, which is his stock in trade). Currently I’m in the Oct 2002 posts, before the plethora of Islamofascist posts (in fact, the Iraq War is still months away).

The actual goal is to never let that worm wiggle away from his past. If he thinks he’s going to cozy up to the left, he can hang it up.

Birds -- The kashrut of birds is tricky. The Torah only lists certain birds as being kosher and the Oral Law does not expand it. The kosher birds include chicken, turkey, duck, goose, dove, and pheasant. The Rabbis deduced four rules on what makes up a kosher bird.

    1. It is not a bird of prey.

    2. It does not have a front toes (or tearing talon)

    3. It must have a craw and a double lined stomach that is easily separated.

    4. It can catch food thrown in the air, but it must lay it down and tear it with its beak before eating.

I guess you couldn’t get T-rex in as a bird.

Yet another ex-LGFer (who prefers to remain anonymous).

My whys -- here’s the long version.

    Here’s the short version:
    - CJ’s a liar (eg his characterizations of the ‘flounces’),
    - he’s intellectually dishonest (eg the guilt-by-association),
    - he’s not particularly bright (look at the sh*t he posts in his threads, unrefuted ONLY because it’s HIS blog),
    - he’s gotten more than a little weird (eg the “CJ as daddy” stuff, his craving his craven band of sycophants,..)

For a while lately it’s been interesting like a train wreck (eg the racist Killgore Trout), now it’s just boring and the dishonesty is insulting to the intelligence.

It’s neat that the new Torah cycle is coming up.

Each year, I take on new supplemental study materials (such as extra audio lectures or daily Torah study guides from Artscroll). This year, I’m going to study Rashi all the way through the cycle. It’s fun to plan extra studies!

I’m definitely excited!! I’ve looked at certain things in my Rashi books from time to time, but I’ve never gone through all five books during a complete Torah cycle. I have MP3 lectures that I bought from Artscroll for this process. The rabbi covers everything (in all 5 books) so I can do this week by week during this entire year.

I don’t think you can be Jewish and believe that Jesus is messiah. There is mention of Jesus in the Talmud, and the Jewish tradition is that he is not the Messiah. However, Jews don’t believe that Christianity or other religions are evil, nor is it necessary to convert them. Basically, Judaism accepts all other religions that have basic moral standards, no human sacrifice, etc.

Although I take synagogue classes from time to time, the extra Torah studies that I do require a lot of study time on my own.

My routine is to study on Mondays and Thursdays on my own (at the very least). Artscroll’s “Daily Dose of Torah” series provides things to think about the Torah every day, which is also nice.

All my self-study materials come from rabbis, of course. Aish HaTorah and Artscroll, usually.

There are also other kinds of Judaism lecture series from synagogues and other places that are nice to hear (on so many different subjects)!

Netanyahu informed the UN today that the fight against extremist Islam is a fight between civilization and barbarism.

He also called Dinner Jacket an anti-Semite.

He brought with him the notes from the Final Solution Nazi meetings and the architectural plans for Auschwitz to the podium. He held them up in the air for the UN to see.

It’s nice to see him reminding the UN that they started out as a body of nations that meant to try to prevent things like the Holocaust from taking place again. Giving a hearing at the UN to a man like Dinner Jacket is outrageous.

Bibi also pointed out that it’s ridiculous to expect Israel to take chances for peace when the international community doesn’t back Israel’s right to self-defense when these risks bring additional dangers to the people of Israel.

No one should be asking Israel to risk anything for “peace” when they’re going to become hysterical if/when Israel protects herself from the consequences of trying to make peace.

Bibi at the UN (about Dinner Jacket’s speech):

Yesterday, the man who calls the Holocaust a lie spoke from this podium. To those who refused to come here and to those who left this room in protest, I commend you. You stood up for moral clarity and you brought honor to your countries.

But to those who gave this Holocaust-denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere: Have you no shame? Have you no decency?

A mere six decades after the Holocaust, you give legitimacy to a man who denies that the murder of six million Jews took place and pledges to wipe out the Jewish state.

What a disgrace! What a mockery of the charter of the United Nations! Perhaps some of you think that this man and his odious regime threaten only the Jews. You’re wrong.

History has shown us time and again that what starts with attacks on the Jews eventually ends up engulfing many others.

It’s doubtful that Abu Mazen will agree to negotiate with Israel as long as Obama is in office and some commentators are starting to point out that Obama himself created this situation by demanding a total freeze in settlement construction right off the bat while demanding nothing from the “Palestinians.”

Abu Mazen is now asking for absurd pre-conditions before agreeing to peace negotiations and he got this idea from Obama himself. Not that the Obama administration will admit it.

Commentators are talking about it, though.

Peace negotiations would be for naught anyway, but it’s interesting that Obama himself made them impossible.

Obama is in over his head as President of the U.S.

When Bibi was the Finance Minister 5 or 6 years ago, he was the most instrumental person when it came to moving Israel away from Israel’s leftist roots economically.

Israel’s economy has been blooming since then.

Israel’s GDP last year was $205 billion.

On a per capita basis, Israel’s GDP is higher than Saudi Arabia’s GDP including their oil.

Bibi has done more for Israel than most people even realize.

They said to go ask my parents, and if they said it was okay, they’d tell me. I was about 13 yrs old. They told me.

These stories are definitely moving. I’ve got a friend whose father was one of the Jewish children who survived the Holocaust by being hidden during all of WWII. He was 6 years old when he went into hiding. His parents and 7 other siblings each hid in different places. They could have all died at any time, but they all ended up surviving. The parents collected their 8 children and took them to Israel after the war ended.

Imagine having 8 children hidden from people who have sworn to murder them. When the parents gathered them all up again, it was an emotional experience that is beyond comprehension for most people.

Bob, that is a great little tale right there. Semper Fidelis runs strong in your family. Eliana and BatGuano welcome to the new place.

BG, for me, I do not hate ‘all muslims’, but their religion is of great concern. I do get concerned as the facets of the dogma are so inclined to dishonesty, and a lack of free will to question, think for or decide for one’s self. Here in Manila, I have had 4 dealings with Muslims in the last week. 2 members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and 2 civilians one from the Emirates, one from Saudi Arabia. The soldiers were Filippino citizens. The civilians were the exact stereotype of “allah cannot cross borders”. They were drunk, obnoxious, full of Bush and Jew hatred, and hatred of the young women around us. Last night the Saudi had me disgusted within 20 minutes. The great irony to what this guy was doing on vacation in Manila as the President of the RP was bringing 120 victims of muslim hospitality home to the Philippines…(funny they were all women, who were raped, beaten, lied to, and did not receive a substantial portion of the money they earned).

I may not have a problem with individuals, but the culture and the religion are absolutely repugnant.

It was a Glen Beck demonstration of something bad, like health care reform as being considered by the gov’t. When you put a frog into the boiling water it hops out, but if you put the frog in cooler or warm water, then crank the heat the frog will sit until it is boiled to death….therefore indicating that while the gov’t cannot push it on us, we jumped out of the pot, they may try some lesser methods to achieve the same results…naturally, the loozards went to the defense of the poor children who may have seen such a dastardly demonstration…and nancy called GB a frog killer. Glen Beck brought that up on his show, accusing chucky of lying when well, chucky did…the loozards have been in a froth all day…

    Private thread meltdown rumor….

    Apparent quote from Nancy:

“By the way, today I learned about a new stalker blog started by banned users; the ‘blogmocracy’ morons were talking about using it to plan their idiotic flounce-off moments. When I checked out who was posting at this blog — I was really disappointed to find realwest, taxfreekiller, Erik the Red, and about 8 other long time LGF lizards there.

I banned them all. Anyone who is connected to stalkers even remotely has proven themselves to be completely untrustworthy, and I don’t have time to deal with that crap. I don’t enjoy banning people like this (although I probably should have done it to tfk a LONG time ago), but when I find stuff like this I’m going to take action now to avoid having meltdowns later that require much more time to handle.

Now back to your regularly scheduled private thread.”

Man, I feel like I need a shower when I read all this nastiness regarding 1.0. CJ is like a person who is in a long time relationship with a perfectly nice (lovely normal loyal etc) caring intelligent person, and then they get bored (having an identity crisis; or some weird ego trip?) who doesn’t have the balls to end the relationship in a mature manner; so they act like a jerk to drive the person away. Or something like that…it’s just wrong! Maybe he just doesn’t want to blog anymore..whatever! Get a grip dude!

I woke up with a smile on my face remembering E2M/snorks posting. You were spot on with all that my friend-and the global warming stuff- that was awesome! (and just the tip of the iceberg describing the crap of it all too as you probably understand!) I read the whole thing over the phone to the hubby who is out of town doing some field work. He liked it!

Yes he is, and Charles owes Realwest an apology for this. We all know that that isnt going to happen, we all have learned what kind of person Charles really is, now more and more of those people who really trusted Charles and believed in him are finding out that Charles never ever was their friend and was only using them, it’s a very painful thing to learn.

I’m late to the “Chuckles, Hit The Tip Jar Thread”, but I thought I’d share a few quick points to help Charles out. One, you’re crying for tips because your financial support left when you drove everyone off. And two, your new readers, the liberals, generally don’t donate. It’s just not their place, as they truly believe that’s government’s role, not theirs. Maybe your new hero Øbama will redistribute some wealth your way. I doubt it though, his memory’s long too.

    Line in the sand.

You go to Blogmocracy, you’re not worthy of respect. You hang around here and lurk with thoughts of going there? You’re just a coward.

Thing is, people will whine and moan that they were banned ‘just for posting on a blog Charles didn’t like!’ — which isn’t true at all. They’re banned for posting on sites that actively slander him and others here, make threats, and have gotten up to all kinds of mischief here as KT mentioned: causing trouble, using the search function to dig up information on other posters, doing everything they can to ruin LGF’s reputation and fuck with the lives of people connected with it. They state that as their goal!

Why the hell wouldn’t Charles ban them for that?

And there is something extremely weird going on psychologically. It happens in many web communities. Extremely inappropriate feelings of personal attachment to the host. Strange attachments to the internet persona they have. Inappropriate feelings of attachment to and ownership of the blog itself.
There’s a continual whine among those lurking in various Villages of the Banned about how ‘we as commenters made LGF’ — false; misplaced feelings of importance. It reveals their own beliefs about what ‘made’ or ‘makes’ LGF, and reveals their belief that they are the centre of the world around which LGF and CJ must revolve. You see it in the preflouncers, too: demands about what should and shouldn’t be posted.

There’s some kind of weird entitlement mentality going on
(Hm, I should say so. I think we have projection here.)

That is one of the best examples of projection I’ve seen in a while. The commentors are precisely why a blog is what it is. It’s reputation is the sum total of all the contributors who post there. The nimrods at 1.0 seem to think that there’s a magic about their site that is totally divorced from the content of the people who write there.
There’s no arguing with delsuional people like that.

I happen to know for a fact that realwest has never been here (in fact, he’s one of the founding members of that new exile blog; can’t remember the name, with littleoldlady and a number of others).

I think that CJ is trying to do a rebranding. I think he’s under the delusion that if he purges enough old-timers out, he’ll become the new Huffpo. Good luck with that.

I’ve also heard an alternative theory (warning: black helicopters) that he’s already sold the whole blog to a lefty, and is riding his bike around Tahiti right now, and “Charles” is really someone else.

CJ’s behavior to those that have a difference of opinion is that he bans them, sometimes preemptively. This is the mark of a coward who is so insecure in his ability to back his argument that he adopts the totalitarian attitude of those he is supposed to be against. They should not be surprised when he bans people, lies about the reason, and then people want to set the record straight.

They praise CJ now but when they get banned under similar circumstances it will be priceless to know what they have to say then.

Refarding this ‘the commenters aren’t important to a blog’ meme being touted at 1.0, I can truthfully say that I didn’t read 1.0 for ‘selrahC wit and writing acumen. The posters, and their links, made the blog. He even took the overnight thread’s news links and turned it into the linkviewer. I know the linkviewer would never have existed without the commenters using the overnight thread to post all those links.

Another point to disprove the nimrods at 1.0 is that when I started reading 1.0 years ago, it truly was an international anti-jihadi blog, with posters from all over, open 24/7. While CA slept, Oz was open. Or Europe, or Israel. I do not get the sense that the international aspects of that blog are now quite the same. In other words, as selrahC has sunk into madness, the blog has become more provincial and domestic. To put it another way, 1.0 is now boring, which is the kiss of death for any blog trying to play in the big leagues.

Excellent post. As someone who has run an online sports community for a decade now, I know that all I have set up is a taco stand. The people make a site what it is. Without them all you have is a building. People ARE the site.

Eventually CJ will backstab enough people and run the community completely off for good, leaving it to become truly a cult of personality. We’re just about at that point.

People are curious as to why people are here and invariably come over despite their claims they don’t.

This blog is putting up traffic already comparable to what CJ has now if one goes by comments per thread. It is no wonder he is rattling the tip jar these days. The person that said that his newer group won’t be so quick to support him was dead on. His traffic will collapse and his cult won’t donate, so I expect his site to start trailing off quietly.

It is pretty much dead -- they just don’t know it yet. When you stifle freedom of thought and the diversity among your userbase you’ve killed your community.

Let’s consider the opposite proposition: that the blog is made by the brilliance of the articles posted. The occasional homer like the throbbing memo notwithstanding, that’s ludicrous. The real question is, can the older commenters be replaced? I’ll let the results speak for themselves.

I think what’s really happened is that the halo effect from the throbbing memo has worn off, and he doesn’t want to admit that he’s been living off of a half decade old achievement. Not to play amateur shrink, but there’s obviously some sort of cognitive dissonance going on.

There’s also something going on that I think is quite common among liberals: the tautological belief that the only reason why anyone could possibly criticize or question Obama is racism. Once you presume that, facts don’t matter any more. It’s a conclusion that fits, no matter what the facts are.

What a wonderful place this 2.0 has become!
Almost every banning over there results in a better place here. When I was banned in January, I found it quite traumatic. I was not the first to be banned, but was near the beginning of the purge-o-rama.

I came here and commented right away. I’d heard the murmuring about “the stalker site” as selraC called (and still does call) it.

I got a nice welcome here. Back then there were seldom more than 20 or 30 comments per thread. At that time I sort of stopped going to blogs for a while.

Then one day recently, Rusty at Jawa posted a WTF? thread about selraC and I stopped by here again. What a transformation!! Like a reunion of that favorite class from the past. I thought what I’d loved about 1.0 was gone, diaspora on the ether.

Almost everybody was here!! The freedom and openness I thought was gone is here. Threads containing hundreds of comments, polite discussion. Seems like one or two or more refugees arrive every day. Welcome all! Viva Camaraderie!

Personally, I find it quite uplifting

What a transformation!! We grow with almost every swing of selraC’s stick. Thanks you admins, for starting this site and maintaining it during the early times of 15-30 comments per thread.

There’s been talk of mascots here, with suggestions of dragons, frogs and other critters. My suggestion is a Phoenix. It, like 2.0, rose from the ashes. What does a phoenix eat? It eats little green footballs.

    The Islamic State of Holland
Sat, Aug 17, 2002 at 9:29:03 am PDT

At LGF, we’ve noted many reports about the massive influx of Muslim immigrants to Europe, and the frightening implications for the future of the Continent. Now a pro-jihad website in Chechen gloats that Holland is becoming a Muslim country; Islam is the most popular religion in the Netherlands.

Maybe we should start a betting pool: which European country will be the first to institute shari’a?

TFK probably isnt stoned, from my own personal experience I recognize something about TFK. A certain alphabet agency paid my tuition for college, for which I played the role Robert Redford played in Three Days of the Condor.

I read things and listened to people from Middle Eastern and Asian countries and I wrote stories about what I thought those things I had read meant.

Then one day I discovered a place called “The wilderness of Mirrors”. I stood on the edge and looked in for a little while, and then backed slowly away from it.

TFK from my vantage point, is either still standing on the edge looking in, or has walked into “The wilderness of Mirrors”. From what I have read of his, my bet is that he is at least ten feet inside the boundary.

To this day I still know several people who are in “The wilderness of Mirrors”, maybe not actually lost there, but far enough in it that it worries me. TFK strikes me as being one of those people, not quite lost in “The wilderness of Mirrors” but definitely either standing on the edge of or just inside.
