Busting a little green bubble

private_eye2      There are some bloggers who insist on
digging in the muck for anything possible
to taint Sarah Palin in the worst possible
light. It seems they don’t even care if what
     they say is actually true.

From Politico:

Playing the race card on ‘Going Rogue’

Max Blumenthal goes after Sarah Palin’s co-author, Lynn Vincent, in a broadside that focuses largely on her 2006 collaboration with a conservative blogger, Robert Stacy McCain, whose views on race — he has written critically of interracial marriage, and been described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an “extremist” — have since made him a pariah even on [parts of] the right.*

[...]

The pastor of the San Diego megachurch Vincent attends (with Carrie Prejean, natch) is black. She’s also spent most of the last few years on a pair of inspirational books about, basically, racial reconciliation in the friendship between a rich white art dealer and a homeless black drifter, the first of them a Times bestseller. More broadly, she hails from a (large) stream of Evangelicalism that puts racial reconciliation very high on the agenda.

Vincent is — like Palin — well to the right, as Blumenthal notes, on abortion; but the race card (in both cases) seems out of place.

First of all… how long must we be saddled with the little green monster? He is no more “part of the right” than Chris Matthews. Seriously people, you should really check these things.

*RS McCain responds to Ben.

As my Old School editors always told me, “If your mother says she loves you, check it out.” To which I would add this corollary: If a liberal says your mother loves you, your mother hates you.

Exactly. It’s an irrelevant sideshow and a pretty silly one at that.

Politicians and other celebrities rarely write their own books these days, but they do put their imprimatur on them. So holding them accountable for the content of the book is fair game. And that’s what a reviewer should address.

Man, liberals are throwing the kitchen sink at Palin today. This is getting comical.

Blumenthal writes hit pieces and attempts to pass them off as real and thoughtful news items. Shame on Daily Beast for giving him a forum. It tarnishes their image.

As Rush says, “the media and democrats will tell you who they fear”, and they clearly fear Palin. If they didn’t, they would shut up and let her get the nod, knowing she would be blown away.

I’ve lost count of the number of Palin posts lately. It’s amazing how much influence that woman has over the media.

Meanwhile, Max Blumenthal has nothing to say about racist Rev. Wright. Come on now, if we are going to tar people based on their associates, ipso facto Obama is a racist too.

    Etc…

Charles Foster Johnson should be the owner of the Trade Mark some time in mid 2010 if there are no objections. Then he can sue anyone who uses his trade mark!

I agree with the commenter’s basic point, except I don’t think any comparison between Obama and Palin can really be made here. There’s just “no there there” in Palin’s case.

Obama went to Wright’s church for 20 years, was married by him, had his kids baptized by him, and called him his mentor and spiritual advisor.
And Wright is a proven, indisputable racist and anti-semite.

RSMcCain is not even an associate of Palin’s. She just hired a professional writer who happened to have worked with him before, as dozens of writers have, BTW.
And, of course, RSMcCain’s crimes (be they real or imagined) are self-evident only to the SPLC and the useful idiots who swallow their line whole.

OT, but this shines a little light on the KSM deal:

In a nutshell, the ACLU has assembled a “Dream Team” of attorneys with an $8.5 million budget to defend terrorists currently held at Guantanamo. Who’s the primary object of the ACLU’s affection? Khalid Sheik Mohammed.

Why should some Saudi sheik pay for KSM’s defense, when American (and largely Jewish) moonbat money will?

According to the red diaper baby Max Blumenthal this written by RS McCain is some sort of outrage: “In September, McCain wrote on his blog that liberal Jews could be converted into conservatives if Republicans could find “some way to encourage Jewish families to move to small towns in the Heartland, where their kids can grow up hunting, fishing and hot-rodding the backroads.” Talk about intellectual laziness and phony outrage! Say what you will about RS McCain, there is nothing wrong with his comment.

It was Cleveland & Baltimore in Cleveland. A real grudge match since the Ravens used to be the Cleveland Browns before they picked up & left.
Cleveland started Brady Quinn at QB & then wouldn’t let him throw down field. Their coaching is hard to figure.

I would agree, the Sox seemed like they wanted it more than the Astros did. When they hit Clemens hard & he took himself out early , I thought “Ok now it is just a matter of how many games that this will take”
The Sox weren’t in a World Series since 1959 & hadn’t won one in I think 84 years. You could say that they were inspired.

    The Coming of Ceasar

  167. 167 | November 17, 2009 04:35

    At the Pearly Gates.

Three souls appeared before St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.

St. Peter asked the first one, “What was your last annual salary?”

The first soul replied, “$200,000, I was a trial lawyer.”

St. Peter asked the second one the same question.

The soul answered, “$95,000, I was a realtor.”

St. Peter then asked the third soul the same question.

    The answer was “$8,000.”

St. Peter replied, “Cool! Jazz or R & B?”

The left hates Sarah because she is a strong conservative woman who doesn’t need their ideology. She doesn’t need big gov’t has to take care of her. They want to destroy her because she is an inspiration to many women across America who are going successfully abt. their lives without gov’t “aid” (meddling interference). Sarah is a huge threat to the leftist agenda. She is not a victim. She could crack their phony Ponzi scheme wide open just by the example she sets for American women. They recognize the threat. They feel the ground swell she is creating across this country. They can’t control it. They making fools of themselves.

Like most of the people who post there, Walter can be polite, cordial and even friendly when it suits his purposes. However, say anything that offends his sensibilities even a little and he becomes a Iceweasle in a matter of seconds.

When I was banned it was for suggesting that Islam be banned in the United States as a hostile political movement intent on destroying the US Constitution through acts of domestic terrorism and imposition of Sharia law, Walter was the first to go screaming to Chuckles the Clown demanding my head on a silver platter. Fuck Walter he is a douche bag.

    @ chickadee:

Yup, and they are scared shitless that the American people will recognize, wake up, and remember everything that Sarah stands for.
