The Soviet Story

Hat tip to Bonz at GCP…

The Soviet Story is a 2008 documentary film about Soviet Communism and Soviet-German collaboration before 1941 written and directed by Edvīns Šnore and sponsored by the UEN Group in the European Parliament. The film features interviews with western and Russian historians such as Norman Davies and Boris Sokolov, Russian writer Viktor Suvorov, Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky, members of the European Parliament and the participants, as well as the victims of Soviet terror. The film argues that there were close philosophical, political and organizational connections between the Nazi and Soviet systems before and during the early stages of World War II. It highlights the Great Purge as well as the Great Famine, Katyn massacre, Gestapo-NKVD collaboration, Soviet mass deportations and medical experiments in the GULAG. The Soviet Story is a story of an Allied power, which helped the Nazis to fight Jews and which slaughtered its own people on an industrial scale. Assisted by the West, this power triumphed on May 9th, 1945. Its crimes were made taboo, and the complete story of Europe’s most murderous regime has never been told. Until now…

Still to this momment every shell casing, every load in every shell, every route to the F.O.B. of every Marine/Army/Navy base camp, comes from the evil center mother f’n Russia and it no good stinking commie thugs.

So says one who still has some of their f’n cheap ass bullet material in my back.

No good back shooters to the end.

We the People must stand up and deal with this evil, now it has its roots growing here within the U.S.A. this very momnet.

I have no problem shooting my enemies in the back, from a great distance or while sleeping, not going to give them a chance, I’ll do it suddenly and without warning and I have no interest in taking prisoners, having never signed the Geneva Conventions.

    Doesn’t this sound like Iceweasel?

I think he was justified in asking the question. Overall, I think America is moving away from such notions, but within the wingnut enclave, the religious seem to be digging their heels in and are clearly indulging in various unconstitutional efforts. (Teaching of ID/creationism in schools, anti-abortion hysterics etc)

It’s Jimmah! They do write alike. Hmmmm.

Guess what? It turns out the Chinese are kind of curious about how President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform plans would impact America’s huge fiscal deficit. Government officials are using his Asian trip as an opportunity to ask the White House questions. Detailed questions.

  16. 16 | November 17, 2009 05:59

    @ RIX:

I like how these Brits, who have no background in even British law, perport to lecture Americans on American Constitutional Law. I don’t claim to be a lawyer, but i did have an entire year (2 semesters) of American Cosntitutional Law so I have a pretty good grasp of the concepts, and I hate to break it to IceJimmah, but “anti-abortion hystericas” are protected free speech not “unconstitutional efforts”. Even the efforts to outlaw abortion are within a constitutional framework (overturn Roe v. Wade, even amend the Constitution. Would that proponents of gun control tried to work as well within the Constitiution), and I am convinced that there could easily be a framework where something like ID could be taught in public schools without it constituting the establishment of religion. The Constitution forbids the establishment of religion, and this includes atheism. A good many Atheists (not all of them, certainly, but most of the outspoken ones) want Atheism established as the official American religion, they just don’t put it that way.

And that, dear IceWeasel would be Unconstitutional.

  17. 17 | November 17, 2009 06:03

    @ Iron Fist:

The Constitution forbids the establishment of religion,

Or the FREE exercise thereof… Cant forget that part…

Yesterday Dennis Miller had Major Kyndra Rotunda as a guest, JAG officer who was involved in Gitmo – she explained many reasons why bringing the trial to NYC in civilian court is dangerous, as learned the first time with that sheik who bombed the TC the first time… anyhow, what I didn’t know was that a military trial was already in process and Holder had it stopped – not only that, but someone mentioned that the attorneys who will be taking his case are from the law firm Holder used to belong to.

I do not understand how they post threads at theblogmocracy. @ doriangrey:

Ot prohibiting the free exercie thereof. I’ve always wondered how they square prohibiting Mohammedans four wives under that clause, but the arguement (much like the arguement against homosexual marriage) is that marriage isn’t just a religious construct, but serves a secular societal purpose.

Gilo outraged at US demands to halt construction
Residents of Jerusalem neighborhood respond furiously to Yedioth Ahronoth report that Americans demand construction freeze. ‘They, who operate in Iraq without blinking, tell us what to do inside Israel?’ resident wonders
Residents of Gilo remember all too well the events that took place in their neighborhood at the start of the decade, when their homes became a target for attacks from the neighboring Palestinian town of Beit Jala for many months.

Calm has been maintained in the area for many years now, but was disturbed when a Yedioth Ahronoth report published Tuesday morning said that the American administration is demanding an end to construction in the Jerusalem neighborhood, which is located beyond the Green Line.
    Supporting Construction
During tour of Ma’aleh Adumim, Mevasseret Adumim area, Kadima MK assures residents, ‘There is no problem with continuing to build in settlement blocs, I did so as defense minister, would continue to do so as prime minister

    Sweet irony indeed.

However, I lean more toward Serbian stuff for my saved for social ocassions stash. Their M67 round is avaiable in sealed cases again, brass cased, berdan primed and corrosive as hell but hits like a truck as it is hotter than russian stuff and tumbles on impact with soft tissues. Privi also has a 75gr. match cartridge in .223 if the AR is your choice. Its cheaper than similar domestic loadings and out of a 20 inch barrel with a 1/8 or tighter twist, quite effective at extended range. Good reloadable brass with that one too.

Holder was already stained by his involvement in the pardon of Dem. financier & contributor Marc Rich, back when he (Holder) was an Ass’t AG in the Clinton Administration. There were some other questionable decisions he had his fingerprints on as well. These were brought up (in the conservative media) when Holder was nominated by Obama to be AG, but lo and verily, the nomination was given a rubber stamp, and sailed through the Senate.

Obama Reaches Out by Naming Devout Muslims to Security Posts

U.S. President Barack Obama continues to “reach out to Muslims” by appointing them to key security posts amid charges he wrongly ignored internal Muslim terror. One recent appointee was harshly criticized for appearing on a British-based television station whose host is a member of a radical Muslim group.

this past week he swore in a Muslim rights advocate to the Homeland Security Advisory Council, shortly after the Fort Hood massacre. HSAC members are involved in expertise on national security.

The new member is Syrian-born Kareem Shora, whose was the national executive director of the Arab-American Anti-Discrimination (ADC), which previously has called on the United States to stop providing Israel with weapons because of alleged “atrocities” against Arabs. Her background for her new security post is having been a legal counsel and advocate for Muslim civil rights.

She also has been a frequent guest on the pro-Hamas al-Jazeera satellite network.

Shora, who has been described as a “devout Muslim, joins another devout member of the faith, Arif Alikhan, who was appointed as Assistant Secretary for Policy Development in the Department of Homeland Security. His qualifications for the job were listed as having been in charge of public safety in Los Angeles during his term of deputy mayor. One of his actions was to remove the plan that tracked Muslims in the city who were suspected of terrorist activities.

And then you have the nerve to get all snippy and missish about the British Colonial government in Kenya. Dear conservatives: Can you PLEASE all take a lesson from this? DO NOT concede a race EVER, even if you’re down by 20% of the vote. By conceding, both Harmer in California and Hoffman in New York made it possible for Nazi Pelousy to swear in the two Democratic Congress critters prior to the vote for health care. If they hadn’t conceded, she would have had to wait for the Secretaries of State to certify the results – usually a week after the election, and which would have instead given her a vote of 215 to 218. One wonders if the RINO in Louisiana would have voted for the bill if not doing so would have meant passage by only ONE vote (i.e., he votes “no” and the vote is now 216 to 217).

I couldn’t agree more. He should have come out and said in Katrina’s aftermath the following:

    1. I offered to activate the National Guard to Governor Blanco, just as I offered to it to Governor Barbour. She refused the assistance.

    2. The United States has, over the last 20 years, allocated over $14 billion for levee repair and retrofitting in New Orleans. Perhaps you’d like to ask the former and current mayors and governors just why the levees broke when we could have practically dammed Lake Ponchetrain for that kind of money.

    3. You can thank the national media for the fact that FEMA was delayed in setting up operations. All they reported for a week was that people were being shot from rooftops, shot in the street and murdered at the Superdome. FEMA is made up of unarmed volunteers and administrative workers, and there was no way we were going to send these people into a war zone. Oh, and by the way, if Governor Blanco had accepted the federal help, we would have had the National Guard already in the flood zones and FEMA would have been set up.

    4. By the way, what part of “get the hell out of here because a Category 5 hurricane is bearing down on you and you’re below sea level” is difficult for you to understand?

    @ Carolina Girl:

I actually wasn’t trying to reprove you; I was just playing with “Dam you, Lake Ponchartrain!” as if it were, say, Charlton Heston shouting it at the end of “Planet of the Apes” or something…

Phooey. They’ll hold hearings for 6 or 7 months, then issue a 1,200 page report stating that racial sensitivity issues were handled incorrectly, and then go on exactly as before.

Oh, I know! I just looked and thought to myself “you were married to a Cajun – how the hell did you misspell Ponchartrain?”

Absolutely. They will call this anything but what it is – terrorism. There is no evidence at all that this monster just “snapped” and every indication that this was not only carefully planned, but that he harbored these anti-American feelings for years. But Zero and his minions cannot let it be seen as terrorism – because he can’t blame this on Bush – not when Bush kept domestic terrorism at bay for seven years.

Maybe you need to put the Pontchartraining wheels back on for a while…

Oh, and I was a little late to the “meet up” thread (our DSL was crap over the weekend – thanks, ATT!) so if I can put my two cents in – I love Vegas as a potential spot. I don’t suppose we could make it during NASCAR weekend?

    It’s called a “burqa”.

No– here in the west, it’s a “housewife cozy” or a “hooded snuggie”. “Burqa” has those hard “r” and “k” sounds– very unfriendly.

    @ Carolina Girl:
The United States has, over the last 20 years, allocated over $14 billion for levee repair and retrofitting in New Orleans. Perhaps you’d like to ask the former and current mayors and governors just why the levees broke when we could have practically dammed Lake Ponchetrain for that kind of money.

Just like most government agencies, the army corp of engineers is just as inept and corrupt as most others. Having read so many articles about what the fuck went wrong, most of the money they used over the years was spent on researching the costs of repairing the system! I doubt much has really been done all these many years later. And there is still no real plan in place other than the same old plan.
