It has been a year since the senseless Islamic massacre in Mumbai, India and the horrible anti-semitic massacre against those in the Chabad House.  From the Chabad website commemorating this tragedy:

In the course of their short lives, Rabbi Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg, Chabad emissaries in Mumbai, India, radiated love, kindness and inspiration to their surroundings.

With their cruel murder by forces of darkness, their light exploded into a million points of light that now illuminate across the globe.

Click their picture for a video regarding their lives, their kindness, and their mission.

Although the Holzberg’s murder is the most famous from that day, they unfortunately were not alone.  Also, needlessly murdered at the Chabad House where Bentzion Kruman (Rabbi), Yocheved Orpaz (Grandmother), Norma Shvartzblat Rabinovich, Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Teitelbaum (Father of 8).

Those who wish to deny the particularity of Islam to these types of horric events tend to pass blame on all religion.  Anyone being honest however knows the uncomfortable truth that this is not the case – all religions are not equal.  The following is one, of many similar  Jewish responses to the the murder of the Holtzergs.  There were no Jewish retribution killings of innocents, no riots, no Embassy attacks, no calls for international holy war…

This is an open thread…but one in their memory of the victims of Islamic terrorism in Mumbai, India one year ago, and the memory of the thousands of innocent people unecessarily murdered by Islamic Terrorism and hatred throughout the ages.

A mosque in India should be de certified for every innocent killed by animals who call themselves muslims. Until such a time that truly peaceful muslims are able to enforce their own peace. The fewer muslim one has in ones non muslim neighborhood the more peace one will have.

Muslims are violent. Or waiting to be pushed into violence. The koran likes to help them along.

We must no longer sit idly by. This is the most harmless of what we are up against, but in a room of hundreds, why can a very few get away with it?

I have recently heard reports that not only were these people murdered, their bodies were savagely disfigured as well.

It’s about time that people woke up to the fact that these terrorists are more like Mohammed than other Muslims.

I would point out, BTW, that Chabad emissaries, like the murdered Holzbergs, are not interested in converting non-Jews. They pose no “threat” to Hindus or Muslims. They are present to provide outreach to Jews; to ensure that there is a place for Jews to pray, a place where kosher food can be found, a place where one can meet and learn, if one wishes, with other Jews.

In other words, the murdered couple were engaged in “outreach” only to their own community. Their murderers were engaged in their own form of “outreach.”

First of all I want to say unequivocally that Islam is a cult from the heart of Lucifer. It fits with the pogrom that advances from his rebellion towards his creator. There are countless millions whose lives have been snuffed violently at the hand of the followers of Mohammed. There is no escaping this fact. While I rarely wear my religion on my sleeve, for the obvious reason there are many here who may not believe as I do, I want to quote from Yeshua who had this to say about the real enemy of our souls.

    The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;

That, in a nutshell of truth, describes the real intent of Allah.

And now to the atrocious result of another Islamic outreach. These people were innocent victims of devious hate, who died practicing a march towards peace among their fellow man.

Amazing difference between Judaism & Islam. While both are monotheistic, and both deny the Divinity of Christ, their attitudes towards those who follow other faiths are worlds apart.

‘All’ Muslims are NOT terrorists by any means. But the number of Muslims who, at best, turn a blind eye towards acts of terror, and who support death for apostates is frightening, and from the polls I’ve seen, are more prevalent among younger Muslims.

OK, now you have piqued my interest with that. How can you say Islam is Orthodox Judaism when they rely on a book that is contrary to the Torah in many respects? Granted the koran borrows heavily from Moses, it, to me, is worlds apart.

I say that because there are plenty of harsh punishments written in the Torah for transgressions of one sort or another. But the Oral Law, which tells us how to read the Torah, ensures that these liabilities and penalties are only imposed with safeguards—kosher witnesses, prior warnings, and mercy in the application of any penalty that is absolutely necessary. The Oral Law tells us that any court which condemned someone to death more than once in 70 years was called a “court of murderers”; we are commanded to be merciful as well as just.

We are, likewise, commanded to impose penalties which, while suitable for the transgression, are not crippling; the “eye for an eye” language which ignoramuses persist in regarding as retributive, is in fact language of limit and equivalence: an eye for an eye means, not a life for an eye—and the payment for an eye is not someone else’s mutilation, but compensation for the damage.

Islam, from what I can understand, does none of this. They still lop hands for theft in Saudi Arabia, but this had been abandoned by the Jews (if indeed it was ever practiced) well over half a millennium before Mohammed was born.

So when I say that Islam is Orthodox Judaism with the rachmones (mercy) removed, I am saying in short form that it is what an unlettered man who has heard fragments of simple text, but who knows nothing of subtlety, might make of those fragments—if he were also brutal and merciless.

They also changed the narrative a wee bit. Like Issac was the piker and Ishmael was the great one, and stuff like that. Oh, and they added the prophets Issa and Mo. And the conception of heaven and hell was completely changed, and proselytizing became not only approved, but mandatory, and a few other minor details like that…

There’s a good stock of Judaism with a fair helping of pagan moon worship, and a sprinkling of Christianity, but the flavor is a lot more like the pagan moon worship than either Judaism or Christianity. Must be a ton of MSG (moon-star god) in there.

It is easy to wrap my mind about that. And in total agreement, the idea of justice, as found in the ‘eye for eye’ command was not meant literally, but rather as a means to evaluate recompense. Once again, and in no means to push foreign faith, Yeshua elaborated on that statute and the resolution was mercy. He may be to many another, but was no doubt a fine commentator on the Law in many repsects.

My concern was equating Islam to Judaism in another context that was like a curve ball thrown in a small room.

I still maintain that the Ka’aba was built as a roadside attraction. You remember roadside attractions, right? You’re driving to visit Grandma in the next state, and you see a billboard advertising the World’s Biggest Ball of Tinfoil. “Cool! Mom! Dad! Can we stop and see it?” And, of course, you visit the gift shop and have a sandwich at the snack bar.

The important thing, after all the arguing is over and done with, is that Obama and Holder are able to demonstrate their own superiority – ethically and legally – over the hated enemies of humanity and Constitutionalism by treating these cases as if they were mere breaches of the peace and murder, as they so clearly are, and not as criminal acts committed in furtherance of an unconventional war by a non-state actor, which they most certainly are not.

Only by ensuring that these men are able to drag the evils of the previous administration’s misguided, unethical, and anti-American policies into their cases and before a court, can the AG later find, with the concurrence of the Congress, correctly, that there is a preponderance of evidence to undertake prosecutions of the monsters under whose dominion this nation, and the world, suffered for so long.

KSM was not arrested, was not given miranda rights, was not detained by law enforcement. These things may have occurred later as he was transferred to GTMO, but this stupid idea to run a trial will do nothing but get a ton of ‘evidence’ thrown out as he was being used for intelligence collection…and all of that will be tossed…then he will get an unfiltered and compliant media to broadcast his absolutely falsified tales of torture (right out of the AQ playbook available at FAS.ORG) which will further sully the image that the weakminded American public already holds of our Nation. Ludwig, frankly, that’s naive. It’s also ignoring that we are NOT giving some of them trials. Is Barack Obama a North Korean now, according to you?

The US has done some awful, awful things in its time. We’ve supported dictators, we’ve segregated our populace– after enslaving them.

But anyone who doesn’t think that we’ve done far, far more good is an idiot. We’re not saints, we’re not a perfect union of angelic beings. We will screw up, and sometimes the screwups will be huge. We are human. We are allowed to. We are not allowed to become complacent about it.

Nobody here is complacent, nobody here wants an injustice to happen. These people are honestly saying that justice can be served adequately in a military tribunal and I would agree with that given that Holder thinks it adequate for others.

Now think about how many of your criticisms, in the terms you’re making them, apply equally to Holder and Obama.

    Well said…

Its interesting to me that I don’t hear the left invoking the Geneva Convention with regards to KSM.

During the previous administration they couldn’t stop invoking it even though then, as now, they apparently don’t know what it actually says.

  167. 167 | November 18, 2009 7:52 pm

    @ wolfie:
    It’s an easy test:

During the previous administration the left claimed that we were required by the Geneva Convention to treat KSM et al as POW’s. It does not say that.

Now apparently the position is that these pukes are entitled to the rights of civilians. Not only is there no legal precedent, but the Geneva Conventions most emphatically does not say that either.

More than anything else the Geneva Convention is about protecting civilians. Unlawful Combatants are many things, including those who harm, endanger or menace civilians. They are not themselves civilians, nor lawful combatants. One of those few things the previous administration got right is they never stopped calling these pukes by the correct appellation: “Unlawful Combatants.”

F-kin’ stupid decision.

That pretty well sums it up. I would only add that anyone who would use KSM to set up a show trial meant to embarrass, demonize, and dishonor the United States is a traitorous POS.

Interesting topic – interesting comments. Seems like days of old (not too old) to read Wrath, Buzz and Song & Dance discuss the issues. I’m always reminded of that verse It’s been so long since I’ve been to LGF, I think why bother? But the fall from grace happened even quicker than I imagined. I never thought the gate would swing that far left.

Concerning the topic and something far more important that Charlie, in reading of the Islamic world, I can’t help but be reminded of these prophetic verses:

    Genesis 16:11-12

The angel of the LORD also said to her:
    “You are now with child
and you will have a son.
    You shall name him Ishmael,
for the LORD has heard of your misery.

    12 He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
    and everyone’s hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
    toward all his brothers.

Nothing has changed in 4,000 years…

And I am not even talking beyond the Koran – the interpretations thereof by terrorists creating murder and mayhem in the name of Allah simply seals the deal but the text of this book is based on insane notions of justice and morality. It’s like the Jerry Springer show, you know when you lock a bunch of people in the same room for days on end they will start going for one anothers throat.

Professor genius doesn’t know the difference between “tact” and “tack” (and this isn’t the first time):

Bags, really that is deeply off target and deeply wrong of you to go there. How about you cease and desist. You tried every other slimy tact you could fine on the last thread and now you are trying this here. It is really wrong.

If you really want to know what Jewish Law says about those who support tyrannical actions, go look it up. The language that the Rabbis use is much more harsh than mine. They use words like abomination and evil.

Actually you are right, the proper term in Jewish Law for your views is ra.

Do not quote Jewish Law to me you false Jew and false scientist. You are an evil and vulgar man who is full of rage and hate, as you have proven once again tonight.

I am certain this is not typical of Orthodox Jews or Judaism.

    Dayng!

That last one seems like it should finish with…will Batman escape? Will the Joker finally get away with his scheme? This and the other answers tomorrow…same Battime, same Batchannel…

LGF is showing a whole new side to liberalism I’ve never seen! Its true nature.

They started going at each other around 10:30AM today, and it ramped up with Ludhead’s typical boorish insulting lecturing.

No, you are the one who is obnoxious.

Care to think a moment about what it was your grandfather was fighting for. Mine was pretty clear to me about it.

He was fighting to kill the fucking people who were trying to kill him. That’s it. He didn’t walk around misty-eyed, as you seem to be, thinking of these high-sounding ideals to explain why he was shooting prisoners in the back of the head and dumping them in a ditch, or why he was beating the brains out of an Imperial Japanese soldier with a piece of coral in the middle of the night, or why he was twisting a bayonet into a German’s belly in a pouring rainstorm. He did it to kill the people who wanted to kill him.

And that makes him a criminal in your estimation.

NO asshole it doesn’t. There is a complete difference between an action on a battlefield against an armed foe – or even a potentially armed foe and taking legal actions with those who have already been disarmed and captured.

You are smoking crack if you think I am equating those.
