The Goings on in Gilo, Jerusalem

As many of you have probably already heard, the Obama administration has decided to make international waves about the decision of the Jerusalem municipality in Israel to approve an additional 900 housing units in Gilo, which is within Jerusalem city limits. Somehow, a municipal decision to approve housing units in the capitol of its country becomes an international incident. Only in Israel!

Gilo

This is typical. I am going to not lay all the blame on Obama here, and it must be noted that Condi Rice had made similar such statements in the past. As is typical, J Street supported Obama, and is against the additional housing in Gilo. (shocka!)

The common theme is that somehow it is “anti-human rights” for Jews to build homes, kindergartens, and nurseries in their capitol city of Jerusalem, which is, lest we forget, the holiest city for Jews, and the city that every observant Jew prays to on a daily basis. (Can you imagine the USA telling Saudi Arabia that it cannot build more housing units for Muslims in Mecca? Enough said!)

But here is the little wrinkle to the story that the mainstream media usually leaves out: Arabs can buy land in Jewish areas. Not only can they buy land – they actually do buy land in Jewish neighborhoods.

Here are just two examples of Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem where Arabs feel free to buy and sell land as they see fit – Pisgat Ze’ev and French Hill. In fact, Arabs buy and sell land anywhere they want in Israel, including Tel Aviv!

Here is an article by reputed scholar Alex Safian about the ability of Arabs to buy and sell land in all parts of Israel, written in 1997. The restrictions to land purchase only have decreased, to the extent they existed in 1997, due to the liberal Supreme Court of Israel! Right now there are reports of Gulf Arabs buying of land in Israel located in the Galilee. This flies in the face of the supposedly ‘racist’ and ‘discriminatory’ land policies in Israel. Actually, the real racists are from Peace Now. They actually sued to prevent Jews from buying land in Jaffa, Israel, which is indisputably part of the 1967 borders of Israel. Arabs – they can buy land wherever they want (with the understanding that most land is state-owned, but I use the term “buy” and “long-term lease” interchangeably, as far as this goes). But according to Peace Now (a misnomer of a term if I ever heard it – they are anti-peace, as I previously discussed), Jews cannot buy land in Jaffa, because it is an Arab neighborhood, which must be ‘respected.’ (yet Jewish neighborhoods disrespected, of course – this is a one-way street!) Thankfully, Peace Now lost their case before the Israeli Supreme Court. Interesting, I came across this article, which clearly peddled the lame line that if Jews move into an Arab neighborhood of Jaffa, then it will “incite” violence. So Jews should not have the right to live there. This clearly follows the “noble savage” line of thinking – that somehow Arabs who live in Jaffa are not human beings, but rather are beasts, who are incapable of anything but violence, so you should not provoke the noble beasts! As I said – Peace Now, J Street and their ilk – they really are racist!

Meanwhile, we deal with the reality that if Arabs sell land to Jews, they could be slaughtered. I am not just making this up. There have been cases of Arabs being killed for selling land to Jews. And so this also colors land claims – of course Arabs will deny they sold land to Jews, because to do anything us puts their very lives in jeopardy! Also – in Jordan – and throughout the Mideast – it is against state law for a Jew to own land in the country. (yet no “human rights organizations” seem to have problems with this, of course!) Here is a CAMERA primer on the law concerning land purchase and use. It is a must-read to understand the basic law in the region!

What is the lesson to be learned about this all? I would say that it is racist for Obama (and previously, Condi Rice) to make an “international incident” over 900 homes in Gilo. As I have extensively shown, Arabs have the right to buy and sell land throughout all of Israel. It is clearly racist to tell Jews – and only Jews – that they must be ghettoized, and cannot enjoy such similar rights.

As I have outlined, Peace Now is tied in very closely (joined at the hip, if you will) to the progressive movement. They (and J Street, also, as I have outlined, a progressive organization) are thus supporting racism.

It is because I reject racism and support equality and human rights that I support Israel and reject the progressive view of the world that ghettoizes the Jew, and turns Arabs “noble savages.” I expect more for humanity and the world!

There’s only one reason to insist that East Jerusalem be Judenrein; they expect to “negotiate” it away to the PA.

The Jews should just push the Palestinians out and take the land that the Lord promised them, and tell O to go pound sand.

Israel can do no right in the world’s eyes. Everyone forgets the incredible restraint they showed in Gulf War I when they were fired upon night after night by Saddam Hussein and never fired back, because they were very aware of the tenuous relationship the West had with the Saudis in allowing the base in Riyad (?) to turn back the invasion of Kuwait.

Anyone else would have told the U.N. and the West to go pound sand.

Never forget that “traditionally Arab East Jerusalem” (according to the MSM) was:

    1) The only Jerusalem there was until Jewish immigration caused “West Jerusalem” to be built;

    2) The home of a majority-Jewish population for as far back as modern population records were kept, except for

    3) The 19 years of illegal Jordanian occupation following the 1948 War of Independence, during which time the entire Jewish population of the Old City was killed or expelled, and their property expropriated; and

    4) During which time the Jordanians refused to honor, and the UN reneged on enforcing, the “international guarantees” that holy places in the Old City would be freely accessible by all faiths.

    @ Carolina Girl:

In hindsight now that was a mistake. If our “allies” (who were scared shitless of Saddam’s war machine) demanded that we force Israel to set there and get hit, then fuck ‘em. We spent too much effort to build a super huge “coalition” as though the American Military wasn’t the steel hand we were going to use to force submission in the war. Some “allies” aren’t worht having at any price, and ohers are too expensive. We had both with us during the Gulf War. We took too long building up this last time (I suspect that huge stockpiles of WMD fled Iraq for Syria), but at least we didn’t sacrifice the war on the alter of “coalition building”.

I would add two other things:

    1) The designations of “Jewish Quarter,” “Arab Quarter,” etc., in the Old City are not things of great antiquity. These “quarters” were instituted by the British during the post-WWI British Mandate, as a means of dividing and ruling the fractious population.

    2) During the 19 years of illegal Jordanian occupation, synagogues, study houses and cemeteries were systematically desecrated by the Jordanians, with synagogues used as stables and headstones for paving and latrine linings. Contrast this with the Israeli decision to permit the Waqf to retain control of the Temple Mount.

Great post!!! Excellent ammunition to use against the anti-”settlement” people I run into.

One minor and mostly irrelevant quibble: The idea of the “noble savage,” as popularized by Rousseau, emphasizes the nobility, not the savagery of primitives. That is, it assumes that simple, uncivilized people are superior and less “savage,” violent, and cruel because are in tune with Nature and they have not been corrupted by social institutions. (The word “savage” as Rousseau used it was fairly neutral and just meant wild or primitive.)

The “noble savage” stuff is a very popular notion on the Left, but I think what we’re dealing with in this case is “the bigotry of low expectations.” We assume the Palestinians are unredeemable barbarians who cannot be expected to behave decently, so we make special exceptions for them. And as you say, that is extremely racist, just as the restrictions on Jewish land tenure are racist.

Once again, PC makes a hash of true justice and equality under the law.

That 19-year period is what all tradition is built on.

There’s a curious similarity in the cherry-picking of time segments that goes on in Israeli history and climate science. If you get to decide beginning and end dates, you can prove pretty much anything you wish.

Essentially, they’re arguing that that 19 years is the baseline of history, and all other times were aberrations.

You know what? I’d love it if I never had to post this again:

    The Mosque Upon the Mount

Mohammed rode the night horse, or so the Muslims say
Mohammed rode the night horse to a mosque so far away
And his followers the Muslims, coming after his death, claim
That the mosque upon the Mount is the mosque the Koran names.

Never mind the mosque upon the Mount was never even there
At the time Mohammed–so they claim–took his ride in the air.
Never mind the mosque upon the Mount was built in later days–
Mere factual reality did ne’er a Muslim faze.

Broadcast on Al-jazeera, in the seething Arab street,
Are echoed calls to Muslims that they must not retreat
That they must not cede unto the Jews they hold of no account
Possession of the Mountain and the mosque upon the Mount.

The Muslims lost the mosque and lost the Mount on which it stands
A foolish choice was made then that it stay within their hands
And feverishly ever they work so as to erase
The record of the Temple there–which must take pride of place.

The world stands by complacent at the Mount destruction news–
When cared the nations for the holy places of the Jews?
But bad though the nations’ silence be, the silence that is worse
Is that of Jews who stand by as the destruction occurs.

Why should a people conquered justly through the force of arms
Be permitted to retain a symbol that does lasting harm?
Why should the conquered be allowed to rule the Temple Mount
And by this hold their conquerors to be of no account?

The mosque upon the Mount is beautiful, or so they say
But like the earlier Temple, it also may pass away–
    The mosque was built to show who’d conquered many years ago;
The reason it was raised is also why it now must go.

O Jews, who claim Jerusalem is still your capital
How can you claim this when the Mountain still remains in thrall?
It is in thrall by your consent. Jerusalem will be
Your capital united when the Mount has been set free.

With all the negative news coming from our secular (anti religion) World and Government these days, I had a wonderful realization last Shabbat (B’H)

During the Shabbat services the Jewish people have been praying for the last 2,000 years for some of the same things. They include:

    the building up of Jerusalem,
the return of a Jewish presence to the Land of Israel,
the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem,
Jewish sovereignty over our land again,
and for G-d to hold high a banner for the exiles.

Although the secular, anti G-d World are working overtime to destroy all that is truly Holy in this world, B’H the prayers and prophecy of the Jewish people is being reviled!

There is a blessing in the fact that Jews today can even have this miserable discussion. We are so used to complaining (and rightfully so) about the treatment of the World against Israel that I fear we ignore the true, amazing miracle that we are living – unlike our forefathers over the last 2,000+ years WE are living during a time when our prophecy is coming into fruition, and when we have an opportunity to build Israel and Jerusalem (and…The Temple)

Despite the hatred, and destruction of Obama, and the World, G-d and His people – the People of Israel – are witnessing miracles and blessings in our lifetime!

Yes, it is difficult, but we are witness to such great things in our lifetime, and the promises of G-d. Our problems are the result of the blessing of having Israel to worry about. We are living, experiencing the dreams, and prayers of millions of Jews over thousands of years!

Blessed is Hashem! Am Yisroel Chai!

    The Media Bias

Did you notice this part of that article?

(This version CORRECTS the first sentence to say apartments instead of settlements))

Apartments vs “settlements” is NOTHING more than choosing sides. The term “settlements” is a very biased legal definition (which technically doesn’t even apply per the UN)

Actually, it’s not that they believe nonwhites are “inferior”; they believe them superior on the basis of being more “innocent” and more “close to nature.” Yes, this is racism and a sort of belief in inferiority, but at the same time the progressive believes him/herself inferior because they are less close to nature and less innocent.

Thus, they try to prevent the “innocent children of nature” from developing, in order to preserve their innocence, and they try to reduce themselves to the same level of savagery in order to regain it themselves.

That would be a typo. The point is that Jews have prayed and pleaded with G-d for our return to the Land. With his blessing we are there! We are presently building the walls of Jerusalem, Jerusalem after 2000+ years is once again reunited, the banner (Israeli Flag) has been raised for our return, the Horn of ingathering is once again being blown by Jews in Jerusalem, in our own land – in Israel.

Yes it is difficult, but it is quite the amazing miracle that our eyes are seeing it, that we are living, and breathing what was prophesied and prayed for for over 2000+ years.

What we take for granted – the existence of Israel – was unheard of for millions of Jews for thousands of years!

Our duty to keep Jerusalem is not only political, but for the sake of the million of Jews who died with this dream, this hope, this prayer on their lips – to once again have a Jewish home in Jerusalem, in Israel! We are witnessing the prayers of millions of Jews for centuries!

On the one hand, there is the pure, natural (and thus superior) “noble savage,” undefiled by civilization, who must be protected from the corruption of development. OTOH, the “bigotry of diminished expectations,” which regards minorities as inferiors.

It’s always interesting to me how these two motifs, superficially contradictory, overlap and entertwine in leftist ideology.

I read about that a while ago…how could the muzzie’s even make an argument that they were there first.

The muzzie argument is that Moses (Mousa to them) received the Qu’ran at Mount Sinai which the Jews later wickedly rewrote as the Torah. At the same time, the muzzies deny that the Jewish people were EVER in the Holy Land. They say that Moses (3300 years ago) and Jesus (1300 years later) were Muslims.

Their argument is that Mohammed found the original Qu’ran in the 7th Century of the Common Era and revealed it to the world after Jews had wickedly been claiming that they had the original Torah.

Not that Jews ever existed, actually (according to them).

Their narrative is mixed up and messed up.

It’s “white man’s burden” rewritten in PC.

The “white man’s burden” is a phrase coined by Kipling in his poem of the same name. People forget, if they knew, that the poem was written to welcome the US to the responsibilities of empire, following the American victory in the Spanish-American War and the US difficulties dealing with the insurgency in the Philippines.

Kipling viewed “empire” in terms of uplift; while he certainly regarded the dark-skinned peoples as inferior to the white, he believed in doing all one could to bring the “younger nations” (as he calls them elsewhere) into modernity and what he deemed civilization. Arrogant this may have been, but it was still an attitude far superior to that of the moonbats of his own day, or of today, who seek to preserve what they perceive as “primitive” as a sort of quaint “international park” of ethnic curiosities.

A strongly anti-empire attitude may be read in Mark Twain’s To the Person Sitting in Darkness. Kipling’s view may be read here; try to read it without the prejudices you have been told to have:

    The White Man’s Burden
    —Rudyard Kipling, 1899
The United States and the Philippine Islands

Take up the White man’s burden—
Send forth the best ye breed—
Go bind your sons to exile
    To serve your captives’ need;
    To wait in heavy harness
    On fluttered folk and wild—
    Your new-caught, sullen peoples,
    Half devil and half child.

Take up the White Man’s burden—
    In patience to abide,
To veil the threat of terror
    And check the show of pride;
    By open speech and simple,
    An hundred times mad plain.
    To seek another’s profit,
    And work another’s gain.

Take up the White Man’s burden—
    The savage wars of peace—
Fill full the mouth of Famine
    And bid the sickness cease;
And when your goal is nearest
    The end for others sought,
    Watch Sloth and heathen Folly
Bring all your hope to nought.

Take up the White Man’s burden—
    No tawdry rule of kings,
But toil of serf and sweeper—
    The tale of common things.
The ports ye shall not enter,
The roads ye shall not tread,
Go make them with your living,
And mark them with your dead!

Take up the White man’s burden—
    And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better,
The hate of those ye guard—
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah, slowly!) toward the light: —
“Why brought ye us from bondage,
    “Our loved Egyptian night?”

Take up the White Man’s burden—
Ye dare not stoop to less—
Nor call too loud on freedom
    To cloak your weariness;
By all ye cry or whisper,
By all ye leave or do,
    The silent, sullen peoples
Shall weigh your Gods and you.

Take up the White Man’s burden—
    Have done with childish days—
    The lightly proffered laurel,
    The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
    Through all the thankless years,
    Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom,
    The judgment of your peers!

Having read the unholy Koran, it is my understanding that Islam is more a state of being, and less a religion.

What I mean by this is that “being a Muslim” means following the Word of G-d. This is how they allow for Jesus, and Moses to both be
“Muslims”, and how they can make claim over everything in the World.

Accordingly, being a Muslims is like saying “doing the right thing” or “acting the right way”.

The Movement led by King had identified with the Jews and the story of the Exodus; the movement which supplanted King (and in which Barack Obama, his wife, and all of his “civil rights” cohorts matured) looked to the PLO and the elimination of the Jewish State.

  86. 86 | November 18, 2009 2:59 pm

The following was written in 1974. Nothing has changed!

There is no “Palestine people” and there is no “Palestine.” The lands that today constitute the State of Israel, Judea, Samaria (the West Bank), Gaza and the Golan are parts of Israel, the sole land of the Jews.

The Jewish claim to the Land of Israel is not an ordinary nationalist one. It is NOT merely derived from the fact that ONCE Jews were sovereign there, were the majority, ruled the land under their own government and that never was the land empty of Jews. All this is true but this is not the main claim of the Jewish people. Jewish refusal to give up lands is sometimes based on the logical and self evident fact that to give up lands to a people that has constantly threatened to destroy you is sheer madness, and that Jews dare not trust to their kindly intentions in the future. This too, is true, but again, it is not the reason for Jews remaining on the lands liberated after June, 1967.

The fundamental and REAL Jewish claim to The Land of Israel is based on the fact that there is a Divine grant of the land to the Jewish people, and that G-d gave the Holy Land to the Jewish people in order that it be holy and create a holy society therein. No other arguments – Jewish or Arab – have any relevance to the essential fact that the One who created the entire world and who possesses it, has the power and the right to give it to whomever he chooses and this is what was done more than 3,000 years ago at the time of Moses and Joshua. This is what remains inalienable right today. The Land of Israel in its Biblical boundaries is the Divine decree to the Jewish people, it belongs to the Jewish people in its entirety and no alien trespass has any merit or chance of success.

Zionism is NOT one more movement of national liberation. It is not one more like all the rest any more than the Jewish people is one more like all the rest. The believing Jew as the believing Christian knows that there is a Divine pledge – repeated again and again in the prophets of the Bible – that the Jew will be brought back from the Exile, gathered from the corners of the earth and brought home – to the Land of Israel. The believing Jew and the believing Christian know that this resurrection of the Jewish state and this return of the Jew to his home is a NECESSARY precondition for the coming of the final redemption and the establishment of the Kingdom of G-d.

Zionism, the establishment of the State of Israel, the return of millions of Jews home, the miraculous victories of the few over the many Arabs, the liberation of Judea, Samaria (the West Bank), Gaza, and the Golan, the return of Jewish sovereignty over the Holy City and Temple Mount are all parts of the Divine pledge and its fulfillment.

There can be no “Palestine”, a name that was invented by the Romans to symbolize the end of the Jewish people, for that would be to diminish and to force back the miracle of G-d and to go against the Divine era of redemption. There can be no “Palestine” for if there is, then there is no Israel.

In all this we DIFFER FUNDAMENTALLY with the government of [the U.S.] which 1) recognizes a “Palestinian” people…, 2) that there are “moderate Palestinians” who will both challenge the PLO thesis and leadership as well as permanently accept a Jewish State, 3) believes that peace with the Arabs by concessions is possible, 4) is prepared to give up parts of the Land of Israel to the Arabs, and 5) refuses to allow Jews to settle unrestrictedly in any part of the Land of Israel under Jewish control.

We differ with these stands and maintain that the government of Israel [and U.S.], through its short-sighted, timid and vacillating policy, not only destroys the vision and the dream of redemption but brings potential disaster down on the heads of the Jewish people. We maintain that there must be an immediate program of declaring:

    1) There are no meaningful Arab moderates who will permanently accept any Jewish state, of any size. The ultimate Arab goal is the elimination of any Jewish state.

    2) There is no “Palestine people” or “Palestine” entity.

    3) All of the Land of Israel belongs exclusively to the Jewish people.

    4) If there are those who wish to create something known as “Palestine’ they are welcome to do so in “Jordan” which in itself is a fictitious state created by the imperialist British by cutting away, in 1921, the eastern part of the Land of Israel. The Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” had the opportunity to create a “Palestine” in a far larger part of the Land of Israel but refused to do so. They lost that chance forever and if they refuse to create a state in “Jordan” now, but insist upon war, they will lose again and lose “Jordan” in the process because – WHILE WE WILL NEVER BEGIN A WAR FOR THOSE PARTS OF THE LAND OF ISRAEL NOW UNDER FOREIGN RULE, SHOULD THE ARABS BEGIN THAT WAR AND WE LIBERATE STILL OTHER AREAS OF THE LAND OF ISRAEL, THEN THOSE WILL NEVER BE GIVEN UP EITHER.

    5) The Arabs today sit in large areas of the Land of Israel promised by G-d to us. For the sake of peace, we are prepared to go to a peace conference with maps to show which lands we claim as our own but declare that we are prepared to declare a state of non- belligerency and not demand those lands back. In exchange for that concession, and as the price they should pay for their aggression of 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973 the Arabs must recognize the State of Israel in the area it now controls.

    6) Immediate, unlimited and unrestricted Jewish settlement in any and every part of the Land of Israel including Judea, Samaria, Gaza, and the Golan.

There is no “Palestine” people and there is no “Palestine.” We are not dismayed by the Arabs, we are not shocked, we are not confused. Above all, we are not fooled by them. Not by their vague and tantalizing hints of “recognition” not by their aura of “moderation” and not by their ingenious effort to create a camp of “extremists” versus “moderates.” We are not fooled by those who for 44 years have threatened to do away with the Jewish state, as in 1967 – before they were taught to be more discreet and allow the world a face-saving way to allow Israel to die. We are not fooled by those, who, in 1956 – BEFORE Jews had liberated the lands the Arabs claim constitute the major cause – took arms from the Soviets and prepared to wipe out the Israel of that time. We are not fooled by those who, in 1947 turned down even the pathetic, grotesque tiny state that the United Nations gave the Jews.

We are not fooled by those who rioted against and killed Jews in 1921, 1929, 1936, 1937, and 1938. We are not fooled. There are no “moderate” Arabs. There are only clever and less clever, patient and impatient. The final solution for ALL is the same – the elimination of any Jewish State. And so we repeat: There is no “Palestine people” and there is no “Palestine.” They are Arabs, part of the Arab nation that lives in many countries, and to where the Arabs of the Land of Israel must and will be repatriated.

18(With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. 19Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

20″For,” said Peter, “it is written in the book of Psalms,
    ” ‘May his place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in it,’[b] and,
” ‘May another take his place of leadership.’

Yup, the Colonialists (Palestinians) also plan to take over Jordan!

It’s not really “taking over” Jordan when you consider that Jordan is 80% of the old Palestine Mandate—which is why the media occasionally admit that “the majority of the residents of Jordan are Palestinians.”

Well, of course they are; Jordan is “Palestine”; it is the “second state” of the “two-state solution.” Or it should be. What the people calling for a “two-state solution” are actually advocating is a three-state solution; Jordan, Israel, and a second Arab state carved out of Israel’s vitals.

    India: Hindu 80.5%, Muslim 13.4%
    Pakistan: Muslim 95%, Hindu 2%

And those 2% are in the southern-most regions of Pakistan. Thus, Pakistan is practically “Hindu-free” while in India, Muslims are still a significant portion of the population. As is reflected in acceptance of Arabs behind the green line in Israel compared to acceptance of Jews living in Arab-majority areas.

I recall an interview with Bat Ye’or that someone posted at 1.0 years ago. What she basically said is the Arabs should take the lesson of the Jews to solve the problem of the Palestinians. Here was a re-rewly created state, that is Israel, that invited Jews around the world to return to their homeland. And in the early years there was great struggle to accommodate the influx of Jews returning. However they did it and have prospered for it. Bat suggested the rich Arab states should invite the so-called Palestinians into their countries in care for their Arab brothers. But of course that will not happen because these squatters are being used for a political end. And we all know what that is.

Fla. man convicted in terror plot gets 6 years

MIAMI — A Miami man convicted of plotting to destroy Chicago’s Sears Tower and bomb FBI offices has been sentenced to six years in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge Joan Lenard imposed the sentence Wednesday on 24-year-old Burson Augustin. Four other men are scheduled to be sentenced over the next three days.

Prosecutors sought the maximum 30-year sentence for Augustin. Lenard ruled stiffer punishments because he was convicted of terrorism-related charges should not apply to Augustin, who was not the leader.

The men were convicted in May of supporting al-Qaida, conspiring to wage war on the U.S. and other charges. There were two mistrials, and two other men were acquitted. All denied plotting terror attacks.

The Chicago skyscraper is now called the Willis Tower.

    Lenard, Joan A.
    Born 1952 in Amityville, NY

    Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U. S. District Court, Southern District of Florida
Nominated by William J. Clinton on September 29, 1995, to a seat vacated by James Lawrence King; Confirmed by the Senate on December 22, 1995, and received commission on December 26, 1995.

Thats the key. Real leaders, good and bad, stake out the limits. They don’t try to please everyone. In the end, their success depends on the veracity of their ideas and the clarity of their arguments. Churchill told the truth and alienated some folks. Hitler fudged the truth and alienated or killed friend and foe alike.

Negotiations went on for years with Israel building settlements. Why the change? Simple: O-bow-ma is a moron.

I know you meant nothing bad by it, but I think we need to change the terminology used to discuss the homes in Judea & Samaria. The term “settlement” is a legal term which connotes illegality. Words/Terminology is very important. It is what has single handedly changed a conversation about the Arab desire to commit a second Holocaust into a discussion about Israel-occupation and “Palestinians”.

The additional apartments being build in Gilo are just that: Minor additions to a already existing neighborhood.

The neighborhoods outside the 1967 Armestace Lines are just that. Not, “Israeli Settlements”.

The change should start HERE & then find its way into the population. I would suggest calling people on it when in discussion as well!

Exactly. They don’t want us to do anything.
We can’t let them intimidate us into silence.

We can’t listen to anything they say. We don’t even need to respond to their lies and name calling.
The more they rant, the crazier they look.
We out number them. We just need to keep moving forward. Keep showing up. Keep speaking out.
We are on the ascendancy. You can feel the momentum.

The Islamic idiots and progressive morons should realize that there’s no such thing as a mulligan in war.

You don’t get to “do-over” an unsuccessful attempt at wiping out a neighboring country while they expect to magically get the clock set back to 1967 and at the same time taking zero responsibility for their warmongering and genocidal ambitions which created the current situation.

To sum it up, anybody who is hostile towards Israel, an advanced, democratic country surrounded mostly by primitive, dysfunctional assholes can go screw themselves. The enemies of Israel don’t want peace, and nobody should waste their time in even entertaining such ludicrous ideas. Even the concept of a “cease-fire” with Islamic radicals and terrorists is a ridiculous idea. Like cockroaches, the infestation will only get worse if you choose to ignore it.

If the Palestinians disapprove of the houses, then my advice is for Hamas to open the “Gates of Hell” again, for the third or fourth time I believe. I’ve kind of lost count, since they first decided to open the gates of hell.

I don’t believe that there’s been any entertaining car-swarms in a while, and I’d like to see if a certain blog will post those car-swarms when they happen, just like they used to do in the past.

I couldn’t agree more!!! That’s why I put “settlement” in quotation marks all the time. It’s a heavily loaded term meant to suggest that foreign colonists are newly coming in to settle on land of natives who have a prior claim to it.

We should definitely use any word but that.

(…unless maybe when we’re talking about Arabs building in Israel… heh, heh.)

Well I have something so say about. I had no idea the two most important woods used in making quality guitars were recently banned from commercial trade. We, us musicians, can finger salute the enviromentalists for this sad trend.

Most fret boards are made from rosewood, and the best bodies are made from choice mahogany. I have many guitars, but if I decide in the future to add to my collection I will have to buy used, since new guitars will not have the same quality woods.

This is the foolishness of western leader’s trying to negotiate the middle east based on sensitivity to an islam culture bent on hate and killing of jews. A culture of hate established and grown in the arms of WWII nazism and never called to modernize itself. It is really just an evolved form of anti semitism. It’s Obama and Condi supporting nazism in it’s modern form.
