GAAAAH!

White House aides: No Afghan decision before Thanksgiving

SEOUL — President Obama will not announce his decision on sending more troops to Afghanistan before the Thanksgiving holiday, senior aides said Thursday.

Obama arrived on the base 3:19 p.m. local time (1 a.m. Eastern Standard Time) and received a rousing welcome from 1,500 troops in camouflage uniforms, many holding cameras or pointing cellphones to snap pictures.

“You guys make a pretty good photo op,” the president said.

Standing on a riser wearing a blue suit and red tie, with a cluster of troops and a large American flag behind him, Obama expressed “the gratitude of the American public” and said his meetings in four countries over eight days in Asia will help deliver a “safer, more prosperous world for all of us.”

He got a huge cheer when he told them he was increasing military pay. “That’s what you call an applause line,” he said, before boarding his jet and taking off at 4:11 p.m.

This man makes me sick.

To state the obvious, he is deciding by not making a decision. Like voting present, it is deliberate so opponents cannot criticize his actions.

Moreover, he can get what he want, still tell the hippies that he didn’t escalate, all the while telling the folks who support the Afghan War that he is working real hard on it, trying to do what’s best and not make mistakes.

Meanwhile, we must decide NOW NOW NOW for everything else. No time to read it, just PASS IT!

As much as I dislike Komrade Zer0, that “photo op” quip was his effort at a sincere joke. I am certain he heard of people being angry at him for using soldiers and their families as a photo-op in the past. So, as lamely and amateurishly as it came off, he was trying to actually not be a pompous ass for a change.

Military retirement pay works the same way as Social Security when it comes to COLA. They have some “basket” of stuff they base it on, and if the net cost of that stuff didn’t go up this year, there’s no COLA next year.

There won’t be one for Social Security recipients next year, either.

Breaking: Rather than pardon this year’s turkey as is tradition, Obama bowed to the turkey, apologized, appointed the turkey a civil rights attorney, and made him the new Vegetarian Czar.

“We aren’t going to be able to just eat what we want and expect other animals to be okay with that,” the president warned.

I felt that if I pardoned the turkey, I would imply the turkey had committed a crime. I‘m so pleased with how I‘ve furthered freedom, I think everyone should be thankful to me. So what do you think we should call it, Thanksobama or Obamagiving?”

Piece of shit, child-molesting, saprophyte motherfucker…

From The Crow. I always wanted to use that line about an appropriate target, and Obama is very appropriate. He is a classless street hood with a little education. Not much taste, though, but discriminating when it comes to race. A low, yellow-bellied, America-hating Alynskiite parasite on the body politic.

And those are his good points. This is classic unscripted Obama, foot firmly placed in mouth, inarticulate (but clean!), displyaing for all his massive sense of entitlement and self-worth. I doubt he could see the problem with what he said if you drew him a map.

Will 2010 Be the Perfect Storm?

Seven different indicators suggest that 2010 will be a very tough year for the Obama administration’s plans to turn America into a People’s Republic. If some of these indicators pointed one way and others pointed the other way, projections might be murkier. But all the winds seem to be blowing in the same direction, and the result may be a perfect storm to benefit Republicans. What are these seven indicators?

The Senate doesn’t work like the House on these things. Everything in the House just takes 50% +1 (218 votes). And they put a time limit on debate. That’s why you see all the nonsense about someone yielding one minute to another member to speak.

In the Senate, they need 60 votes to start debate on a bill, and another 60 votes to end it. Only then do they get to vote on the actual bill’s passage (which only takes 51 votes).

Reid may not even have the votes to begin debate on this POS, much less pass it. He needs every one of the 60 Dems to vote for it, because none of the Republicans will. Even Snowe won’t vote for it.

Hmm, that is odd. Out of the blue my open windows are now in a neat little firefox drop down instead of lined up along the bottom. When did that happen. Weird.

I wonder if the NY Slimes will review her book?
I don’t think they ever got around to reviewing Mark Levin’s last one, even though it topped their best seller list for weeks on end.
    Nope…no bias there…

Her book went best seller before release! Some Magazines are selling her book at a discount for mag subscriptions.
Johnson claimed that , that proves that the book is not selling.
Idiot, they had to buy it to resell it. The publisher did not donate the book.

They’ve taken to calling Palin “Bible Spice” over there. A few SP supporters but most of them have PDS.
    That place is scary now.

It is unrecognizable if you take a look in the LGF archives for any random dated from 2002 -- 2008.

It appears the massive “poll” thread has a final word:

The rest of us who believe that America is better than that are really happy to have our country back.

No one took the country away for anyone to “have it back”. Inverse kookism.

    Or maybe not.

Ace hits that one out of the ballpark!
One of his many good lines:

“Palin’s vagina, in Andrew Sullivan’s telling, is a member of the Bavarian Illuminati. They’re all there — the Bildergsbergers, the Medicis, the Pope and the Jesuits, the Ghost of Richard Milhouse Nixon, and, of course, Sarah Palin’s genitalia.”

For kicks I went to check out that fever infested swamp.
Most of the posters that were all PC about Hasan’s motives in the Fort Hood shooting are to busy eating crow to post in chuckles thread about it today.
    35 total posts about Hasan.
    Over 500 about Palin.
Not one of the fools is gonna go in and say, “ya know what, I was wrong,
Hasan was and is a jihadist.
Chuckles was all to happy to be one of the fool hardy deniers, along with his merry band of halfwits all harping about being fair to Hasan.
Its easy to see what they hold as important, its also easy to see, they lack the courage and conviction to admit being taken in with feel good self inflicted stupidity.

and said his meetings in four countries over eight days in Asia will help deliver a “safer, more prosperous world for all of us.”

Actually, this steams me more than his attempt at the photo-op joke.

Behind him are the folks who really take the bullets, and put their lives on the line, but his efforts will deliver a safer, more prosperous world for all.

    Arrogant.
