Glenn Beck In Tampa and Senate votes to allow Obamacare debate in the Senate

Today Glenn Beck did a book signing at the Borders Book Store in South Tampa. Yours truly went there at 8:30 this morning so I coould have my book signed. When I arrived the place was already packed but I was inside on the line. He was not due to speak until 12. As the hours went by, the line was out of the store onto Dale Mabry Hwy and then all the way south to Kennedy Blvd.

It felt really good to be with like minded people and not feel alone. Many were part of the 912 project and were Conservative/Libertarian Activists. The comradeship was amazing as people held spots on lines and gave Senior Citizens their chairs. I made contacts and hopefully future Blog readers.

Then Beck appeared and the crowd roared, he is a hero for exposing the Totalitarian nature of the Progressive agenda. We had to have our books ready so he could sign them very quick. As I approached him I shook his hand we spoke for a minute. He knew about this blog, which totally surprised me. We discussed the Totalitarian Neo-Feudal (he like that term) nature of the Progressives. He also is aware of the penetration of Hugo Chavez in American politics and the danger he poses. We also discussed how the French Revolution was the first Progressive revolt and Robespierre was the prototype for Progressive leaders like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro and Chavez. He said to call his show when I want to so we can discuss this further. He then went on to the Villages Retirement Community where he revealed his plan to undue Progressivism. On August 28, 2010 he will unveil the plan at the Lincoln Memorial, I will be there.

Below are some pictures:

Breaking News: The Senate voted to allow the Obamacare bill to come to the floor for debate. The so called Blue Dogs sold out. This is what Glenn Beck is fighting against.

Good work Rodan. Today I went to the Sarah Palin book signing at the Sam’s Club in Washington PA. I didn’t wait in the long line. I got there a half an hour after it started with my two children in tow. It was still good to see all of the patriots there (including some of darker complexion than myself), and the few feeble moonbat proggy useful idiots hanging out with pamphlets over by the Starbucks and Panera Bread shops.

Here are some slideshow pics from the Washington PA 9/12 projects site of the line outside of the Sam’s and one of some pathetic proggy youths at the end:

You mean Beck knows about the Blogmocracy (a.k.a. LGF 2)?

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, given Beck’s encounters with Johnson’s LGF 1 on Beck’s TV show, and most of us here take Beck’s side vs. Johnson.

It’s nice that you got to meet Beck and that you posted photos here.

Beck sometimes gets a bit too emotional on his TV show for my taste :) (and I’m a female, and we’re usually known for being emotional at times), but he seems like a genuinely nice person who truly cares about our nation and about other people, and that gets my respect.

Speaking of Beck, did you guys catch this bit from yesterday, when Arianna Huffington proclaimed that he shouldn’t be protected by the First Amendment?:

“It would be nice to think of Glenn Beck just as a joke, as fodder for this show and the “Daily Show” and others that point out how stupid some of this stuff is,” “Countdown” host Keith Olbermann said. “But this report, you know, suggests something else, this is – fear-monger-in-chief term is frightening.”

Huffington agreed with Olbermann’s assertion, but she took it a step further and suggested Beck’s alleged fear-mongering warrants an exemption from the First Amendment, otherwise known as the “shouting fire in a crowded theater” precedent.

“It is frightening,” Huffington replied. “Well, I would say the fear-monger-in-chief title should still be reserved for Dick Cheney, even in retirement. But barring that, there is something that we need to really pay attention to with Glenn Beck. We cannot just dismiss him. Because the truth of the matter is that there is a good reason why we have an exemption to the free speech protection by the First Amendment when we say you cannot shout ‘fire’ in a crowded theater.”

Someone did say LGF was utterly denouncing the kids who busted ACORN because they were in a picture with The-McCain-No-One-Had-Ever-Heard-of-Until-Chuck-Decided-He-Was-the-Anti-Christ. So I suppose he’s nipping at heels.

Once again you libel our military.

No actually, I do not in the least. Liable and slander are only liable and slander if they are false.

We did not give these people fair, speedy or open hearings with adequate counsel. That is required by UCMJ. So is not torturing prisoners or degrading them.

I am actually trying to protect the honor of our military and this nation, rather than permit crimes to be committed and our values trampled while pissily sweeping it under the rug. That would be what you are doing. And it is worse for America in the long run.

Well, like I said, if the universal code of military justice is sufficient to govern the rules and conduct of the troops responsible for fighting enemy combatants in places like Afghanistan, then why should the people they (or other nation’s intelligence or security agencies) capture in foreign countries be awarded the same set of rights as a motorist running a red light in Mt. Airy, NC?

Well, if they were treated up to the standards of the UCMJ, which prohibits torture and does not hold people indefinitely and provides them with counsel, there would not have been a problem.

But we didn’t do that. We didn’t follow UCMJ at all.

Aside from prescribing penalties for US military personnel who mistreat enemy prisoners, the UCMJ has nothing whatsoever to do with those people.

    They’re enemy combatants, not criminals.

Their treatment is regulated by the Geneva Conventions, not the UCMJ.

Riehl World View had a post slamming Beck’s talk about a new third party.

I agree there are a lot of Republicans that need to be purged, but with a flat out Marxist bent on destroying the Constitution in office, 2010 may be the last chance to avoid the need for violence, and a conservative third party would split votes with the better established and funded Republican party, and leave the Marxist in full control of the White House and Congress, and I do think Obama will go for either a Chavez style President for life or 8 decades in Mexico style one party rule where the outgoing leader chooses the new president.

If the GOP doesn’t have at least the House of Representatives in 2011 so they can hold hearings on ACORN and a cooked census, voter fraud may make 2012 and all subsequent elections Soviet style show voting.

So for every Al-Q operative that is captured in Iraq, Afghanistan or the horn of Africa, they should be mirandized, free legal representation and no attempts to glean any actionable intel from them should be made because it might infringe on their rights.

0bama’s actions this past week give me every indication that he almost wants to see KSM’s civilian trial tank. How this benefits 0bama and Holder, I don’t know…but holy fucking shit- announcing a guilty verdict and death sentence before KSM is even brought to Manhattan? If that happened in any other case, that would be ground for a mistrial.

But hey! Since this was 0bama and Holder’s doing, I’m sure it’s all fair and good…

NO, they should be given fair hearings with adequate representation in as speedy a way as possible and not tortured, because for every bad guy we pick up, we also pick up a bunch of illiterate farmers who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

While US forces certainly do capture “illiterate farmers who were in the wrong place at the wrong time,” they don’t end up at Gitmo.

Ludwig seems to be of the mistaken impression that everyone we capture is automatically sent there. Nothing could be further from the truth. We have numerous detention facilities in Iraq and Afghanistan where routine prisoners are sent. At one point about 2 years ago, we had over 23,000 of them at just one facility in southern Iraq (Camp Bucca).

Jumping in the middle of this one…just logged on. We fight the war like we did in 1944. We bomb the christ out of them, destroy their moral. I’d choose Iran, Saudi Arabia, “Palistine”, and Tribal Pakistan first. Then tell Egypt, et al, to shut the hell up or they’re next. We don’t fight wars anymore, people. We build porta-poties, schools and roads while apologizing for our existence. It’s disgusting.

He’s a mouthpiece for moonbat talking points, who’s never had an original thought in his life. In moonbat circles, that’s a “fact”. With facts like that, you never have to check anything. That’s what pisses people like that off about climate skeptics. Actually checking and verifying facts is hard work, and it often doesn’t lead you into comfortable certitude.

Welcome to the real world, dimwit. People like that need to have to figure out what a weird engine code means. And no, you don’t get to just look it up, and say you’re done. You then have to try to fix the damn thing, and when it doesn’t fix it, then maybe the lightbulb turns on, and you realize that “faxnlojik” isn’t as simple as your freeking professor said it is.
