NY Times snitches on CIA and Blackwater

by Rodan ( 289 Comments › )
Filed under Liberal Fascism, Media, Progressives, Tranzis at December 11th, 2009 - 5:00 am

There was a saying when I was growing up in NYC back in the late 80′s/Early 90′s, snitches catch stitches. The NY Times seems to have not gotten that memo. This rag of a Progressive paper has ratted out our nation on many occasions. Back in the 30′s this same Paper supported Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. They have supported our enemies throughout it’s history. Now they rat out CIA and Blackwater operations that helped defeat the Iraqi Insurgents.

Snitch

WASHINGTON — Private security guards from Blackwater Worldwide participated in some of the C.I.A.’s most sensitive activities — clandestine raids with agency officers against people suspected of being insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan and the transporting of detainees, according to former company employees and intelligence officials.

The raids against suspects occurred on an almost nightly basis during the height of the Iraqi insurgency from 2004 to 2006, with Blackwater personnel playing central roles in what company insiders called “snatch and grab” operations, the former employees and current and former intelligence officers said.

The NY Times is a Tranzi Progressive newspaper. They don’t care about or support America. The question is, who gave them this information? I would not be shocked if the treacherous Obama regime gave the Times this information. As for the Blackwater Operatives that talked, shame on you for betraying secrets. Snitching is dishonorable and a form of treachery.

    Snitches are a dying breed.

The truth is that if Blackwater helped the CIA that makes them heros. The fucking Progs don’t look at it that way, but that is the truth.

morning all, i would like to know what you would do if you were in my situation.
i have a spanish friend and we get on quite well and all that, but i just found out that he killed his dog by hanging it with a piece of wire from a low tree branch.
if i was back in england i would probably thump him and not speak to him again, also he would get a prison sentence for doing that.
but over here it’s normal for the spanish to do that sort of thing, they dont see that they are doing anything cruel.
so do i do as in rome and just accept it or give the guy a mouth full of abuse.
    what would you do.

The NY Times ignored John Edward’s affair for months saying afterwards they couldn’t report on rumors & anonymous sources.

Yet they put John McCain’s alleged affair on page 1 and the story was based on rumors & anonymous sources.

“Barack Obama as a person is a fantastic individual, but Barack Obama as an idea marks an evolutionary flash point for humanity,” gushed actor Will Smith (IMDb page), who will co-host Friday’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo. His idealization of Obama came during a recorded interview, from Norway, with CNN’s Dan Lothian run shortly before 5 PM EST on Thursday’s The Situation Room.

Asked if Obama had really earned the peace prize, Smith’s wife, actress Jada Pickett Smith who will co-host the concert with her husband, insisted: “All I can say is that our President has opened his arms to the world and he has been a huge symbol of change himself. So, I have to say that I was quite honored when he was bestowed the Nobel Peace Prize.” Will Smith chimed in with how “they’ve been giving out that award for a hundred and some years, so they get kind of good at picking” the honoree

My son recently did something dumb in school and promptly got caught. As it turns out, another kid ratted him out. I was appalled that he and his friends decided to focus on the tattletale rather than accepting responsibility for what he had done. In essence, if he hadn’t done anything wrong there wouldn’t be anything to tell.

I am far more concerned about an intelligence agency that sub-contracts sensitive jobs to civilian businesses. The business of the CIA is national security. The business of Blackwater is to make money. These goals are not necessarily compatible.

I think that having civilian contractors acting as “hand-on” combatants is a very bad idea. Blackwater employees are not subject to the same review as real governmental entities and there seems to be something inherently unsound about the US hiring mercenaries. Are they doing something that the CIA can’t? Do they have better training than CIA employees (and if so, why)? Are they cheaper? Are we so shorthanded that we don’t have enough manpower?

I’m far more concerned about a government that uses civilian contractors as a way to circumvent ROE’s and Congressional oversight than I am about a newspaper that reports it.

    @ fultonchain:

Sometimes governments need to do things that are covert, especially in war. The New York Times seems to feel that it is its mission to expose these covert actions. This is not to help the United States. Whether it is just to harm the United States, or is meant to help the Jihadis is a question only the editors and reporters for the paper can say (and who would trust them?). This isn’t as abd as when the Times revealed our covert program of wiretapping terrorists when they were on the phone to their al Qaeda den mother in Pakistan. That was treason, and both the leaker and the publishers should have gone to prison for that.

As an aside, the Left were all in a tizzy for the Plame Game, even though no laws were broken and National Security wasn’t compromized, but they seem oblivious when the leaks actually hurt American interests. Why is that, I wonder?

How people treat their animals is often indicative of how they will treat other people. People who are cruel to animals, torture them, and the like may not all become serial killers (though that kind of behavior is common among serial killers), but they are showing how they view things that are within their power. I would not trust someone who was cruel to their animals.

I recall a story early in the Iraqui War. A Marine unit, I think squad strength was outgunned & pinned down.
Along comes a Blackwater covoy returning from some operation.
Without being told to do anything they piled out of their vehicles
& supported the Marines putting out some serious firepower.
The insurgents were defeated & most killed.
The NY Times is beneath contempt.

There’s just too many things going on in the world today to keep up on every little thing. I never even heard of Blackwater until the left started screaming about whatever crimes they accuse them of committing. As if Blackwater is the new Haliburton. I wonder if they even know anything about Blackwater. I haven’t paid much attention. From what I gather at this point, they are security for the CIA?

What also didn’t make sense to me, as if anything should these days, is up until recently, since when is the CIA accountable to the Senate? What the fuck does anyone in DC know about any sort of operation that they have the right to meddle?

Right after hurricane Katrina I visited San Miguel Mexico. The big trend there was veterinarian services. Maybe it was all just for the gringo’s who live there, but at least it seemed like a good start. Just bringing this up for the heck of it.

I had also gone to a flea market there and saw a basket of kittens for sale, they didn’t seem to be very well taken care of, but at least it seemed in that part of Mexico, mistreating animals wasn’t common. Lots of stray dogs all over the city and they were not dangerous or in bad shape.

Because of some of our laws, there are reasons there are companies like Blackwater. How tightly they are tied to the CIA or the DOD is rather murky and that is on purpose.

Dogs and cats can fend for themselves in the wild. Just let them go, no need to torture them. And if its for population control, there’s better ways to do it other than setting them on fire or hanging them. Really sad.

If the business’ purpose is to pull a profit, and the US government is the customer, I’d be more confident that they’d do the right thing….. so as to not lose such a big customer.

I’d be less confident if they were a not-for-profit group putting daisies in rifle barrels.

The specialty is lobster with huge Margaritas of course.
Many of the locl dogs walk in for dinner. They will sit at your feet while you feed them lobster.

    @ teacake:

I agree. There is no reason to set a dog on fire or hang them from a tree.

There are far less painful and traumatic ways to do such a thing.

I live by a park that is popular for people dropping off pets they don’t want anymore.

As a result, everyone that goes for a walk in the area has to carry some sort of stick to fend off hungry/rabid/angry dogs. So I don’t know that just letting them go is a viable solution either.

People just need to take responsibility for themselves and their pets and if they can’t, they need to be honest and disciplined enough to admit that and NOT get a pet.

Men seem to equate this with having their balls chopped off. Very sad men can’t get over the comparison since its not at all the same. The vets just remove a little bit while the animal is fast asleep. They don’t know anything is missing. Its not mutilation. No different than having tonsils removed. Prevents a lot of future suffering from over population in the animal world.

I remember in my youth that farmers were complaining about packs of feral dogs running around harrassing livestock. It got so bad they were even impacting herds of deer. This was in Central Ontario in the late 70′s early 80′s. I remember my dad talking about it, other hunters talking about it, and some of my fellow students from the country talking about it. Lot of people from the big cities would drive up north and dump their dogs. I don’t know how bad the problem is now. Haven’t heard anything about it for awhile.

LoL, yeah fixed, for me just easier to type than spay or neuter. Actually neuter is weird too since the pet is still a male. :D

A guy lived in a second floor apartment with his bedroom off of the alley.
He was getting no sleep because this bodacious Tom Cat was screaming all night, kicking over garbage cans & jumping the female cats.
The guy admired tha cat , but he needed sleep, so one day he nabbed him ,took him to vet & had him neutered.
Today that cat still lives in the alley, but acts as a consultant to other Tom Cats.
Consultants love that joke, not really.

There’s a lady that has one of those “we buy ugly homes” type companies.

In her (horrible) commercials, she always had a quip at the end about spay or neutering your pets.

In her defense, her commercials have become much better over the years. They’ve attained horrible status, which is an improvement.

When they first started, her commercials required that I change the channel for 30 seconds.

Sounds like your internalizing it. Thing is, so many animals don’t get fixed and its impossible to find homes for every one of them. If you were to do some research into how many animals are destroyed at the SPCA or even visit the SPCA knowing most are doomed, perhaps it would help flip around your feelings on the topic.

I’ve had so many cats over the past 30 years and have had each one of them fixed. They don’t breed out of love for family or passing down a legacy. All cats and dogs are a legacy without having to breed.

None. However, I do have an idea for a worthy punishment… Keep them on some deserted island for a while, with very limited resources, then, when there is only a little bit of food and water left, put them in a cage and make them fight to the death.

However, those who perpertrate mindless violence upon animals in the interest of entertainment, I believe, are much like child molesters; actual reform is difficult, if not imposible because of basic flaws in the Psyche.

The fact that he was allowed to return to the NFL was a travesty. Long prison terms should be mandatory for such behavior as it tears at our society in a very fundimental way. As far as I’m concerned, he’s a pariah and always will be.

Obama had quite a whirlwind day Thursday — he signed the Nobel guest book, huddled with Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, met with King Harald V and Queen Sonja, and delivered an acceptance speech after he was formally presented with the prize. He also joined the king and queen at an evening banquet.

But he skipped several other activities, including lunch with the king, a news conference at Oslo’s Grand Hotel, CNN’s traditional interview with the prize winner and a “Save the Children” benefit concert, where organizers replaced him with an Obama cardboard cutout. Obama also won’t be around for Friday’s Nobel Concert.

Obama blamed his schedule. “I still have a lot of work to do back in Washington, D.C., before the year is done,” he said during an appearance with Stoltenberg.

    LOL

I was thinking about tarring and feathering a while back. Horrible thing—possibly fatal. Think about it: you are rolled naked in boiling tar, so your skin (and your tenderest parts) are exposed to scalding heat; you are then rolled in feathers, so you look like a great molting bird, then ridden out of town on a rail, which means that your singed ass is jouncing on the sharp edge of a piece of split-rail fencing.

You are then dumped naked and coated in tar and feathers with no money or clothing at the town line. In the days when human habitations were few and far between, this means that you had to walk barefoot to who knows where, begging for sustenance and charity—with an appearance that would certainly not prompt even the charitable to provide it.

Tarring and feathering is close to a torture death sentence.

One of the problems in our society is the failure to acknowledge that some people are, in fact, unredeemable and I would agree that Vick is one of them. No concience and no thoughts about the pain one inflicts upon others, particularly defenseless animals, is the mark of a classic sociopath.

Sure, he may feign regret, but only so he can play in the NFL and make his millions. The NFL is playing the role of enabler.

Pointless animal cruelty is bad, but more importantly is an indicator of someone who might lash out at people as well. Animals, nature in and of it self doesn’t concern me, only how it effects people which admittedly we don’t always know and so must error on the side of prudence.
But in general I don’t care if an obscure species that has no effect on people goes extinct, and would rather see animals lose thier homes than people lose their jobs. If some bit of wilderness is destroyed, I only care in as much as there are or might be people who enjoy experiencing that area, and their enjoyment is a cost that can rationally be balanced against the benefits of the proverbial parking lot to go there.

But again, intential cruelty to animals is a warning sign of sociopathy, I believe, so certainly not to be ignored just because humans are infinately more valuable than other animals.

If I were to have the opportunity, I would snub the same type of young woman today, just to make up for the times when I could not get a date back then.
