@ teacake: Sorry, I have to dissent with you here. Having been a dishwashing, a camp counselor, and a stockboy at times when I was a younger adult, there were periods of datelessness, sometimes considerable lengths of time. Don't expect much sympathy from some quarters here when you complain about feeling invisible to the opposite gender. If I were to have the opportunity, I would snub the same type of young woman today, just to make up for the times when I could not get a date back then. So don't complain about "invisibility," especially when there just might be good -- yet working class -- men all around you.
