Copenchange – the musical

Sung to the tune of  “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music:

Moonbats and snowflakes and warming bullshitin’…
Gorebulls and half-baked models saying Armegeddon…
Wild stories about the shores of Beijing…
These all are some of the Copenchange things…

Bankers trading carbon credits with bookies…
Obama’s there with his First Lady wookie…
Vouchers for nooky from Copenchange whores..
Activists screwing us behind closed doors…

Brad Pitt and all of the hollyweird crowd…
“Save the polar bear” they yell out so loud…
Climategate isn’t a word that they know…
As they trudge over and through drifts of snow…

[refrain]
When the cold hits…
When the bill comes…
Feces will hit the fan…
I’ll remember  Woodstock in the Danish snow…
And then I’ll head for the sand…

Hugo and Muhmar and Robert Mugabe..
Medvedev, Jiabao, all say that we’re slobby…
Give us your money and stop making things…
Copenchange means the stone age for us plebes…

Gulfstreams and Limos and organic chickens…
Taxpayers certainly are easy pickens…
Nancy Pelosi with her entourage…
This get together reminds me of Hajj…

Bankers and actors and reds in green wrappers…
Politicos and enviro green crappers…
Businessmen looking for the next big thing…
Communists trying to become the king…

Cold fusion, magic, and perpetual motion…
I have the answer in this magic potion…
I have a flying car that runs on gum…
All I want for it is your freedom…

[refrain]
When the cold hits…
When the bill comes…
Feces will hit the fan…
I’ll remember  Woodstock in the Danish snow…
And then I’ll head for the sand…

Of course, this is an open thread.

    Well done, Snork.

    And another Julie Andrews special:

If you sing it loud enough you need make no apology,
For it’s refitted universal Marxist ideology:
Super- warm- anthropogenic -- global -climatology….

Pretty good. Very amusing and witty. The only thing I would change is the “first Lady wookie” part. Her politics may be despicable but she is a woman and for that deserves not to have her physical appearance denigrated. Men require no such protection. That’s my opinion but I’m a hopeless chauvinist.

There are no more Chuck Joneses. Maybe the closest thing to him in our culture would be the guy that does Family Guy. Totally different but just as creative. He stands on Chuck’s shoulders. I love animation. The old cartoons were my exposure to classical music and perhaps motivated me to get into music. No one else in our family is musical except for me.

I’m droning on because there doesn’t seem to be that many people left in here.

Bugs is the undisputed star. You know where he got his characteristic teeth gnashing when he did is carrot crunching “What’s up Doc.” routine? Came strait from Clarke Gable. He’s in a car or buggy munching a carrot and doing the same thing. He chewed using his front teeth because he had gbngivistus and his back teeth were rotting. The girls used to hate to kiss him for this reason. TMI?
