Good morning to all. I’m staying home from work today, nursing the worst hangover I’ve had in a long time. I feel like I’m recovering from major surgery……so of course our internet wasn’t working yesterday so I couldn’t join the Super Bowl threads. Oh my god….they DID it!!!!!

I read that little flame war.
When we thought that Hoosier Hoops was the person behind the Defenseman blog the real person did not fess up and left HH twitching in the wind, as it were.
It would appear that the real person was Reginald Perrin who had a vendetta against Rodan. Anyway, Ice Weasel thought that this was most unsporting of RP, (which it was), and said so.
Irish Rose then jumped in defending RP and accusing Jimmah of being horrible to RP. Jimmah then waded in and pointed out that he had been on the thread until then, Ice Weasel got into the act, there was a loud bang and when the smoke had cleared Irish Rose had obviously flounced.
A couple of interesting points though:,
According to Ice, Defenseman was “allegedly” defending LGF.
According to Irish Rose, Defenseman has been closed because RP has “personal problems”.
Irish Rose is the second of the three Lizard queens to be hounded out of the site by the poisonous pair from across the pond. What now for Mandy Manners?

Snow day? Oh, heck, I wish I had a snow day. They are forecasting more snow starting tonight after midnight. I am praying it dumps on like crazy, because I have a scary test tomorrow. Three passengers were on a cross country air flight, Derek Jeter, The Pope & Charles Johnson.
Jeter returns from the cockpit informing the other two that the pilot has bailed out & that they are slmost out of fuel & have only two parachutes.
Jeter says , “I think that I should get one. I am an MVP shorstop” The Pope says, “I thik that I should get one, I am leader of the Worlds largest Christian Demonination”
Johnson says”I am the smartest blogger in the country damn it!”
with that he gets up grabs one , slips it on his back & dives out of the door.
Jeter looks at the Pope, “Holiness, I think we should put on our cuhtes & leave now”
The Pope says,’I thought that you said that there were only two chutes”
Jeter answers, “That’s right, the smartest blogger in the country just jumped out the door with my backpack.”

I’m a huge fan of the Saints, but even I was wondering about that. I can’t understand the nuance of the game sometimes, you know? Why is one move okay and another a late hit? I still can’t figure out what constitutes pass interference – one time it’s called and the next time it isn’t. Better half says in the case of “roughing the passer” it’s a judgment call on the refs – if the player could have stopped his forward momentum and hit the passer anyway, you’re looking at 15 yards – sort of like an “offside – unabated to the quarterback” is apparently a bigger penalty than just offsides.

Yes his mother and father are fine people or seem to be.I don’t know anything about them except what I read. But their son is another matter. Then, he climbed up in the stands (on our side) and led the opposition in songs. He had no idea how many people it took to hold a certain someone from storming his ass. (They did beat us btw)

There’s another QB that does that on a regular basis, and I’ve seen Favre do it as well. I can understand frustration, but to act like it’s never your fault? Riiiiight.
That was a truly nasty thing to do at a college football game. Owens bowing on the Dallas midfield “Star” pales in comparison.

My son got lucky and got a decent job when he was 18 (opted out of school) and has progressed through the ranks at a chain grocery stoIre. One of the Saints caught the ball and one of the Colts started punching him all over the place until he dropped the ball. Some sort of call was made for that one. There were many players engaging in that sort of behavior, which I’ve never seen before. It was not accidental or just getting caught up in the game. Really dirty players. Anatomy of butthurt:
1. Email Charles incessantly about a poster, or two, whom one doesn’t like.
2. When you get no response, post histrionically on your blog about how you won’t be coming to LGF any more.
3. When no one appears to care, revise your post, and start posting bullshit in dead threads about the poster(s) you don’t like.
4. When that doesn’t do anything, start falsely attacking those posters as ‘bullies’ when they’re not present, and urging other posters to email you.
5. Fail to see that you’re the one acting like a bully, and that you’re the one desperately trying to initiate bullying and piling on.

Hmm – I thought you were just here to say goodbye to some friends?
No , Rose, we didn’t lie, we stated a FACT. One that is easily checkable and well known to all who were reading LGF and paying attention to what was happening with the stalkers at that time. Hoops got attacked by the stalkers because they believed, for some idiotic reason, that he was behind the ‘Defenseman’ site. The person who was really behind that site let Hoops take the fall for being responsible for it. He never stepped forward to take the heat off Hoops, despite his being targeted by the stalkers for months. This continued until the stalkers figured out for themselves who the proprietor of the site really was.
The slagging off of Hoops went on at defenseman’s site itself, so the proprietor could hardly claim ignorance about it.
Hoops is considered to be a good guy here on LGF by just about everyone- and rightly so – one of the best in fact – and here you are, inviting everyone to believe that he too is a liar. Good luck with that.

She does seem to have a mean and dark side to her. I hope her marriage will change her a bit.

Have there been any new prolific posters at the Swamp? Because I’d be willing to guess that is Sham-wow’s new nic. Of course, that may mean that she’s no longer a Monitor Lizard.
I also think she left when the engagement was announced, as it were.

After 1969, the Jets perpetually sucked because Namath was more and more immobile and threw a lot of INTs. That is why John Riggins left for D.C. – he was sick of the team being built around Broadway Joe.

I wold recognize Sharm-wows style of posting and I do not see it.I just went back there after a two week lay off and see nobody who reminds me of her.
@ Speranza:
I think Sharm would be fun to have around here. Others would disagree but it would be like Favre going to Minnesota. Mandy, well Mandy is Mandy, and may very well be CJ’s alter ego if you think about it.
I hear hoofbeats calling me. Everyone have a great day.

It’s hard to get a word in even if you agree with the Jim-Weazy tag team. If they sense a threat to their position out comes the ‘butthurt’ meter in 55 consecutive comments. Boring ,really.
All two of them should sit down for a fruit and water summit.

HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, I hear there was a big push in the blowup doll market!
