Like most things corrupted by liberal emotionally based ideals, the problem with “fairness” usually comes down to the definition.
When I coached little league football I always enjoyed the discussion with parents who were mad that their 58 pound kid wasn’t put in against an opposing 130 pound lineman. “It isn’t fair” “Johnny practiced really hard”. Johnny is as good as that bigger kid”.
Johnny had the skill set – but life, unfairly, made him smaller than the other kids. You can’t fight physics! Likewise, families that never read in their homes or kids without a father have an inherent disadvantage to those that do.
It’s unfair to deny driver’s licenses to the blind.
This is an example of how the Left twists the meanings of words.
Seems to fall in with it being fair to grant an equality of opportunities, but ridiculous to grant equality of outcomes.
Speaking of fair, how again did Obama get into Columbia and Harvard? Transcripts, please?
