Obama Administration says Critics help Al-Qaeda

by Rodan ( 154 Comments › )

Barack Hussein Obama’s presidency is collapsing. His poll ratings have now fallen to the mid 40′s, even after his propaganda speech bounce two weeks ago. The media is smearing anyone who calls out Obama’s Progressive agenda as racist and it’s not working anymore. The American public is rejecting the Radical Left’s agenda and the desperation is showing. In an irony of history, the Progressives are now accusing Obama critics of aiding Al-Qaeda.

In an oped in USA Today, John Brennan — Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism — responds to critics of the Obama administration’s counterterrorism policies by saying “Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda.”

Brennan writes that, “Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill.”

Read the rest: WH: Some Critics ‘Serving the Goals of al Qaeda’

The stench of the Progressives’ hypocrisy is plain for all to see. During the Bush years, whenever they were called out for supporting the Islamo-Imperialist they claimed their patriotism was questioned.  Now they are using the same tactics they accused the Right of doing. This is another case where they projected their tactics onto the Right. They screamed Fascism at Bush, when in reality Progressive economic policies resemble Mussolini’s 3rd Way Economics with it’s Marxist-Capitalist hybrid economic agenda. Ironically, many on the Left use the term 3rd Way to describe Progressivism. A coincidence? I think not.

Clearly the Progressive Movement is in retreat. However, like a wounded animal this could make them more dangerous. The Right has an opportunity to win big in November. The American people are tired of leftist ideology and they are rejecting it. To defeat the Progressives, Conservatives should emphasize uniting core themes that unite the Right: free markets, strong national security, lower taxes, adherence to the Constitution and good governance. All other issues, like abortion should not be a focus at a time when people’s concern is about high unemployment and lack of wage growth. Americans are hurting and we need to focus on helping them create a better future.

Progressives are hypocrites and the American public are catching on!

They have come full circle now. When the GWB admin would accuse the dems of aiding the enemy, the Dems response was “it’s patriotic to criticize.” Now the shoe is on the other foot.

It should also be noted that this admin is not fighting a “War on Terror” or even a war against AQ. It’s a law enforcement matter.

    From Brennan’s Op-Ed;

Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill. They will, however, be dismantled and destroyed, by our military, our intelligence services and our law enforcement community. And the notion that America’s counterterrorism professionals and America’s system of justice are unable to handle these murderous miscreants is absurd.

I’ll take it a piece at a time.

Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda.

While I might agree that terrorists want to cause terror and fear-mongering is akin to being terrorized, I’d disagree that politically motivated criticism has anything to do with Al-Qaeda. In fact, quite the converse. If Al-Qaeda has us so terrorized we feel afraid to speak our minds they have succeeded.

Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill.

Well, no, they’re not. Neither is any punk who lawyers up and beats the system because of a technicality. We’re not afraid of the terrorists, we’re afraid you’ll fuck up the interrogation and the ensuing investigation.

They will, however, be dismantled and destroyed, by our military, our intelligence services and our law enforcement community.

Seems like he added “law enforcement community” as an afterthought. I’m all for law enforcement, but terrorists are not criminals. They are enemies of the United States and should be treated as such.

And the notion that America’s counterterrorism professionals and America’s system of justice are unable to handle these murderous miscreants is absurd.

I suppose there’s “handle” and there’s “handle”. We can clog up our civil court system with these assholes for the next century and generate a lot of work for the ACLU. I’d rather they were treated as enemies of the United States and dealt with accordingly.

    @ Aladin Sane:

Excellent takedown. I have only this to add:

    murderous miscreants

Seems a tad light of a description to me. Perhaps he is just fluffing his vocabulary, but miscreants is not how I would have called it. Terrorists, unlawful enemy combatants, vile scum of the earth, all of these seem better to me. But then, who am I to question this great man? A worm, nothing more. A vile peasant (or pissant) who doesn’t have sense enough to let his betters run his life.

Much worse than al Qaeda, I am sure…

Obama’s constant apologizing, and at the very least giving the impression that America’s attitude & actions (before the Chosen One came down from on high) brought so much hatred from the Muzzies that we really deserved to be attacked, is helping the Alqui’s far more than anything anyone who opposes the Chosen One’s plans would.

Said that many teens don’t even know that they’re overweight or obese.

Of course, that has NOTHING to do with the reclassification of overweight/obese a few years back….. which renders Jackie Chan as overweight and Governor Arnold of CA as obese.

Oddly enough, when the reclassification took place, lowering the threshhold for both obese and overweight, a new report came out stating that obesity is on the rise (which sparked talks of a ‘fat tax’ in the UK and has started murmurings of it here)

Heh. Will Obama take back all those anti-war speeches that he made during the Bush years, e.g. when he said that the operation in Iraq was “a dumb war” orchestrated by Karl Rove? Yes, he did!

Brennan apparently said earlier this morning, as a follow-up to his essay in USA Today, that anyone criticizing the Administration’s handling of Afghanistan and Iraq was “pro-terrorist.”

She might have been browsing though the Walmart People pictures.

I don’t know anyone who thinks that burgers are good for them. People just don’t care and they have a RIGHT to not care. The left can’t abide that because those who don’t care won’t do what the left demands they do.

Said that many teens don’t even know that they’re overweight or obese.
Of course, that has NOTHING to do with the reclassification of overweight/obese a few years back….. which renders Jackie Chan as overweight and Governor Arnold of CA as obese.
Oddly enough, when the reclassification took place, lowering the threshhold for both obese and overweight, a new report came out stating that obesity is on the rise (which sparked talks of a ‘fat tax’ in the UK and has started murmurings of it here)
With the caboose she sports she would qualify for morbidly obese.

The most disturbing thing about our First Lady’s anti-obesity crusade is that she is aiming it at her little daughters. Unless they each gained about 40 pounds over the past year, both daughters looked fine — in fact the younger one looked a bit skinny. If Mrs. O keeps calling her kids fat — and on the public airwaves, yet — she’s in danger of creating two future anorexics and bulimics.

They’re investigating one of those billboards in Minnesota — airhead liberals/progressives/populists/whatever are trying to find out what sinister right wing organization is behind putting it up. Interestingly, someone has proposed an alternate theory that the billboards are a black bag job by the Axelrod White House operation, intended to remind everyone how “bad” things were under Bush. If so, they’re having an effect in reverse of what was intended.

    So am I.

Many people don’t understand what the real issue in developing nuclear weapons is. It’s not simply slapping a bomb together. That’s not terribly difficult. After all, we did it in 1945, with no computers.

The issue is producing one small enough and light enough to be loaded onto a missile for delivery. That’s much more difficult.

Anything the Iranians are able to build today is likely to be the size of an SUV. Unless they plan to stick it in the back of a cargo plane, they have no way to deliver it to Israel.

Getting one to the US, on the other hand, might be easier. They could always put it into one of the millions of cargo containers that come into our ports every year.

    @ WrathofG-d:

Seriously, the Tea Parties should confront these guys.

I think it’s time to start putting them in their place.

Barack Obama has become a business man. He knows that businesses are not expanding because they can’t borrow money. No Barack, that’s your people that live on borrowed money. Businesses need to make a profit. Look it up, asshole.

I saw a headline somewhere to the effect that Mexico is now under the control of the drug cartels, but I got interrupted and never got a chance to read the accompanying article. Anybody know anything more about this? (I know Mexico has always suffered from 99% of everything there (including the government) being owned by about 200 families, with the remaining 120 million people sort of scratching a living on the margins, or trying to break into the US.)

That is why there’s this task on Mafia Wars.

    @ Rodan:

Notice the hand gesture of this protester?

Just in case it isn’t perfectly clear, look here & here (finger point)

I couldn’t agree more. The abortion issue should become a non-issue for the Republican party (and this should have happened a good while ago) because it is the prime issue that strips the party of support and creates internal division. You simply don’t flog a dead horse in the belief you will win the race. The Republicans should be focusing on a platform of issues that unite not only the party but the nation, and should keep reality firmly in mind. The reality is that the majority of Americans support choice (a significant number of Republican voters support choice and independent voters overwhelmingly are not anti-Abortion) and by placing the Anti-Abortion issue as part of the base platform, the party is shooting themselves in the foot and alienating a lot of people who support other basic tenets, such as the economic vision and small-govt and so forth. Pick your fights wisely.
