Breaking News: Was the Austin suicide plane crash attacker a Progressive?

by Rodan ( 161 Comments › )
Filed under Liberal Fascism, Progressives at February 18th, 2010 - 12:09 pm

Today a horrible tragedy occurred. A plane crashed into an office tower in Austin, Texas. This building houses an IRS office and was deliberately struck. The attacker, Joe Stack, a 53 year old Software Engineer who also burnt his house and left a suicide letter. The Progressives on blogs like Daily Kos, Huffinton Post and the jazz artist groupie blog, Little Green Footballs, were already blaming the Tea Parties. Well to their horror, this man is not a Rightwinger He appears to be a Progressive!

Below are excerpts of his Suicide Note/Manifesto he left for authorities.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough.

The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.

Read it all.

This guy clearly is a Progressive. His language is that of the Left. Also his career gives it away. A majority of IT workers are Leftists and being in the industry, I can confirm this. The media was all ready to accuse him of being a “Tea Bagger”. Well they are now not stating his political views for some reason. They know he’s a Progressive like them and will not reveal this. Mr. Stark reveals his Ideology in his manifesto and uses Leftist talking points. If the shoe fits, wear it!

My heart goes out to the victims and their families of this tragedy.

Update: I changed my title because Nevergiveup brought up a valid point. This man clearly was on the Left but It’s still early and all of the facts are now out. Also taking advantage of a tragedy for a political attack isn’t right, until all the evidence is in. I do think he is a Progressive but for the sake of the blog’s credibility, I will ask this as a question.

(Title Update Hat Tip: Nevergiveup)

Just like with the chick in Alabama, once the Leftist political position is known (and both these freaks are hard Left), then politics had nothing to do with it. But if it were a Rightwinger who did the same thing it would be a blanket indictment of all the Right. The objective truth is that the Left are the more violent faction. You didn’t see Rightwingers rioting at the Democrat convention in 2008, did you?

The pilot’s manifesto had some anti-Catholic stuff in there. Possibly more of a White supremacist/Christian Identity thing than a New world order nut. His anti-tax/anti-government stuff means that’s he’s also a possible Paulian who might have been attracted to the Tea Parties.

I think he was trying to intimate that his death ( self inflicted by crashing his plane into the IRS building) was or would be construed as a blow for freedom and that it is not just the “poor idiots in the Military” who die for their country ( echoing Kerry )? But hey he is a raving lunitic so who knows?

I don’t know what this guy was. He hated government, hated religion (notice the shot an organized religion – who knows, maybe he was one of the goons because the exemption in taxes), hated Wall Street, hated business, hated the IRS (who doesn’t), hated California, hated Austin, etc…

Sounds more to me like he hated himself most of all and was so full of rage, convinced he was a loser that had been duped, was going to take out a few with him.

Kind of a Timothy McVeigh (who by the way hated religion like Charles Johnson) from a software engineering instead of military bent. Bet if you were to talk to his neighbors, he was a mean bastard who hated the world and couldn’t see his own shortcomings for many of his problmes. Every neighborhood has one, but most don’t go postal.

Bet money with the way things are, this becomes more frequent.

  29. 29 | February 18, 2010 12:34

What I worry about is that his final act as an anti-Washington statement. That puts him alongside federalists, populists, libertarians and generally anti-DC independents.

Which is what the Tea Party is, an alliance of anti-DC independents with anti-Bush Republicans.

Blogmocracy is going to be okay (since it’s a conservative blog, and Stack wasn’t conservative). I get the feeling online life is going to suck more for non-conservative independents like me.

We really shouldn’t let ourselves get sucked into their framing. Even if this guy did this because of some anger that is similar to that of the Tea Party movement, it doesn’t reach the conclusion they want it to – its doesn’t meant that this represents the entire Tea Party movement, and it doesn’t mean that most or a large amount of Conservatives are violent.

The truth of the matter is that even if you can count the Conservative violent people it is nothing in comparison of the thousands of Leftist violence around the world.

It isn’t the Tea Party manifesto that echos the rantings of Al-Qaeda

This is a leftist mantra. It’s not soldiers who die for their country. It is the oppressed victims of the white, capitalist patriarchy. Every black man who was lynched, every woman who has ever been raped, every drug addict who overdoses, and every ‘victim’ of capital punishment, etc etc etc, is dying for the Movement toward utopia.

This is absurdly illogical. But they think it’s clever.

file this under ‘words mean things’ the press did this after 9/11, they called it a ‘tragedy’…terroist attacks, or nutjobs that fly into buildings are not tragedies, that term, especailly when used about 9/11 lessens the degree of hostility and obscures the meaning of the actual event.

a tragedy is a calamity, catastrophe, disaster, tragedy, cataclysm (an event resulting in great loss and misfortune) “the whole city was affected by the irremediable calamity”; “the earthquake was a disaster” as the dictionary says.

this was a homicide bombing by plane

a tragedy is a calamity, catastrophe, disaster, tragedy, cataclysm (an event resulting in great loss and misfortune) “the whole city was affected by the irremediable calamity”; “the earthquake was a disaster” as the dictionary says.

this was a homicide bombing by plane

    just a peeve of mine

I don’t like that either. First and foremost it was a diabolical muzz terrorist attack. The msm calling it a tragedy was designed to soften the blow and deflect blame from the muzz killers. Also it very subtly tried to induce us upon hearing the word to react with sadness NOT anger.

Uranium particles found by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Syria are an indication that a site bombed by Israel in 2007 could indeed have been a nuclear reactor, the organization said in a new report Thursday.

The report included clearer language than previously used in IAEA analysis of the bombed site, known as al-Kibar or Dair Alzour, which Syria claims was not built for nuclear purposes.

“The presence of such particles points to the possibility of nuclear-related activities at the site and adds questions concerning the nature of the destroyed building,” IAEA chief Yukiya Amano wrote in his report to agency member states.

I remember when the initial analysis came out. Syria tried to claim that the uranium particles came from the bombs dropped by the Israelis.

Sounded plausible, aside from the fact that it was enriched uranium they found, not depleted uranium, and the fact that depleted uranium is normally used in high velocity penetrators like cannon shells, not in bombs.

    Minor details…

Yeah, that’s what we’re dealing with here: a Left-wing anarchist. Think Bakunin, or the POUM during the Spanish Civil War (these were the guys George Orwell ran with).

    And think Chomsky.

Is this a quote from the Midrash (as well as from the obvious)? When I was reading up on the Parable of the Workers, I found similar in Tanhuma and Deuteronomy Rabba.

“Software engineer”, likely progressive, and the picture on the website showing this guy shows him clearly on a bass guitar.

He is one ponytail shy of being Chuckie himself.

He was flying a piper cherokee, about the same cost (a little higher) as a cessna 182. The plane was older but worth in the neighborhood of about 60 to 70 thousand dollars.
I read his “7 page manifesto” or better described as a death notice.
This guy was nuts, a hard core liberal from the time he went to college. He listened to “professors” and became completely deranged, while in college. He lived in california and did play bass in a band, partime. In my opinion, for what that is worth, this guy voted for Obama, then when he came to believe Obama was not “the One” who would save the world he snapped, went apeshit nuts and tried to kill people. Now take it for what you want, but I believe this is a case of “more to come” from this type of person. A person who voted for hopey change and got the same, it will push them over the edge.
FYI I am a pilot and now I am going to have to deal with all the “security” add ons because of this dead retard! I might as well sell my plane NOW before all the liberal crap starts. I not only hate this guy for what he did…I HATE THE BASTARD FOR WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO TO THE PRIVATE PILOT AND OWNERSHIP OF SMALL PLANES!
My heart goes out to those who were injured, I to am not a fan of the IRS but I dont want anyone to die because this type of person cant handle life and thinks everyone owes him something!and he does remind me of a certain “jazz” artist who I believe is also unstable, but even in california if a guy is riding his bike loaded with explosives tword a building, well nuff said. :)

Sure, only crazed “Leftists” and Liberals could have done such a horrible thing. Unlike Timothy McVeigh, who blew up a Federal Building and killed, what, a 160 people, about 20 of which were little children. Or the pro-choice hater who shot a doctor to death IN A CHURCH! Or the abortion clinic bombings, threats of bombings, harassment of nurses and doctors. Or the tea baggers who show up with guns on their hips, looking for trouble. Yeah right. The body count is on your side, hypocrites. Take a good look in the mirror.

    @ rhubarbsauce:

Who is this clueless jerkoff slithering their way onto this website?

It is the media that makes this an issue, d-head. It is only an issue when the criminal act is at the hands of a supposed “right winger”. One cue, the media immediately started in on “teaparty violence” even though the evidence shows otherwise.

Get a clue. Until that happens, go back to that craphole Chuckles the assclown runs and keep blaming “teabaggers”.

You also are a blatant hypocrite. You whine as if it is wrong to point out politics of the perpetrator of criminal acts and then immediately go on to point out the “right wingers” who did so.

That, my idiotic friend, is trolling.
