Muammar Gaddafi calls for jihad on Swiss after ban on building minarets

Filed under Dhimmitude, Islamic hypocrisy, Libya, Multiculturalism at February 26th, 2010 - 5:00 am

Well get back to us when we can build churches in Libya, Muammar. The arrogance of these people knows no boundaries.  They make demands and then threats, demands and threats one after the other  – all the while we keep on giving up our freedoms bit by bit.

by Roger Boyes

Muammar Gaddafi has appealed for jihad against Switzerland, long regarded as one of the most peaceful nations in the world.

The Libyan leader’s call for a holy war was, he said, a response to a Swiss referendum in November to ban the construction of minarets on mosques.

It is the low point in a relationship that has been deteriorating since 2008 when Colonel Gaddafi’s son Hannibal was briefly detained in Geneva after allegedly beating his servants.

“Any Muslim in any part of the world who works with Switzerland is an apostate, is against (the Prophet) Muhammad, God and the Koran,” Colonel Gaddafi said at a rally broadcast on television.

He made the speech to mark the Prophet’s birthday, ensuring that many Arabs would take the call seriously.

It was not clear how he wanted Muslims to target Switzerland. “The masses of Muslims must go to all airports in the Islamic world and prevent any Swiss plane landing, to all harbours and prevent any Swiss ships docking,” he said, apparently unaware that Switzerland does not have a merchant navy, or coast.

He has been attempting to demonstrate to the West that he is not at the helm of a rogue state, that it has no nuclear ambitions or contacts with terrorism. He criticised al-Qaeda during his address, calling it a “a psychological disease”. He added: “There is a big difference between terrorism and jihad.”

He made clear that Switzerland, “an infidel, obscene state which is destroying mosques”, was at the very least an ideological enemy.

    Good morning again.
This is a ststement of the obvious, but Gadaffi shows no respect for democratic values.
The minaret ban was by popular referendum not Swiss governmant decree.
I think that it is fair to say that Islam holds no respect for democratic ideals & continued immigation to the West is a prescription for disaster.

I pray that at some point soon Europe experiences the breaking point with this bullshit and sends the muslims home.

In my fantasy world, citizens of Europe and parts of the US flatten mosques everywhere.

Back in the old days when the invaders arrived, men got on their steeds and went to battle. Today, everyone depends on their governments to help them, while passively hoping the threat dies down.

Can we issue fatwas because not enough churches, synagogues, Hindu, Bahai, Buddhist, Pagan, Zoroastrian etc temples are not being erected in Tripli? Or are the minarets in Switzerland more important that the lives of Christians in Egypt and the people of darfur which borbers Libya?

    .

How true, when Suleiman & the Ottoman Turks were sweeping across France threatening all of Europe, the King of France did next to nothing.
It was Charles Martel who rallied the provincial monarchs & the populace & swept the Ottoman out.

Its a Friday, O had his ass handed to him by the Repubs at the HC summit, and here is some trivia and perspective about how far we have come or regressed, your call!!

The average life expectancy for men was 47 years.
Fuel for this car was sold in drug stores only.
Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.
Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles of paved roads.
The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower !
The average US wage in 1909 was 22 cents per hour.
The average US worker made between $200 and $400 per year ..
A competent accountant could expect to earn $2000 per year,
A dentist $2,500 per year, a veterinarian between $1,500 and $4,000 per year,
and a mechanical engineer about $5,000 per year.
More than 95 percent of all births took place at HOME .
Ninety percent of all Doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION!
Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which
Were condemned in the press AND the government as ‘substandard.’
Sugar cost four cents a pound.
Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.
Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.
Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.
Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering into their country for any reason.
The Five leading causes of death were:
    1. Pneumonia and influenza
    2. Tuberculosis
    3. Diarrhea
    4. Heart disease
    5. Stroke
The American flag had 45 stars ….
The population of Las Vegas , Nevada , was only 30!!!!
Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and iced tea hadn’t been invented yet.
There was no Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.
Two out of every 10 adults couldn’t read or write and
Only 6 percent of all Americans had graduated from high school..
Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at the local corner drugstores.
Back then pharmacists said, ‘Heroin clears the complexion, gives buoyancy to the mind,
regulates the stomach and bowels, and is, in fact, a perfect guardian of health’
    ( Shocking? ! ! )
Eighteen percent of households had at least one full-time servant or domestic help ….
There were about 230 reported murders in the ENTIRE U.S.A. !
Plus one more sad thought …. 95 percent of the taxes we have now did not exist in 1909.
I am now going to forward this to someone else without typing it myself.
From there, it will be sent to others all over the WORLD – all in a matter of seconds!
Try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years.

He dropped out of that basically when it was pointed out to him that it would be a problem when he ran statewide. I know a guy who knows him, and he said he was a stand-up guy, IIRC (it’s been several years since I’ve seen him). I haven’t decided who I’ll vote for in the primary yet. wow, mystery solved

SINGER CARLY SIMON has finally ended a 38-year guessing game – by naming the subject of hit You’re So Vain

But now the target has been revealed as gay producer DAVID GEFFEN, at the time head of Carly’s Elektra record label.

And rather than being angry about a failed relationship, Carly is thought to have resented the effort he put into promoting rival JONI MITCHELL.

Carly, 64, had always claimed in public that the song was a “composite” of people she knew.

But she solved the riddle by whispering David’s name BACKWARDS in a reworked version of the 1972 song for her new album Never Been Gone, out next week.

Instead, they attended so-called medical schools, many of which
Were condemned in the press AND the government as ’substandard.’
Sugar cost four cents a pound.
Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.
Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.
Most women only washed their hair once a month, and used Borax or egg yolks for shampoo.

It will be exactly like that as far as the living standards and infrastructure. the only differences will be that we will be taxed at 95% and ‘civil servants’ will make twenty times the relative salary of doctors, accountants, and engineers.

MOSCOW – A Russian chimpanzee has been sent to rehab by zookeepers to cure the smoking and beer-drinking habits he has picked up, a popular daily reported on Friday. An ex-performer, Zhora became aggressive at his circus and was transferred to a zoo in the southern Russian city of Rostov, where he fathered several baby chimps, learned to draw with markers and picked up his two vices.

“The beer and cigarettes were ruining him. He would pester passers-by for booze,” the Komsomolskaya Pravda paper said.

It added he has now been transferred to the city of Kazan, about 800 km (500 miles) east of Moscow, for rehabilitation treatment.

Embattled Gov. Paterson has pulled the plug on his bid to seek reelection, a source close to the governor said Friday.

Paterson will announce the decision later Friday.

Paterson has been under fire for having contacted a woman who accused one of his top aides of domestic violence.

The source said the governor has agreed not to seek election, but he will not resign – opting to serve out the remainder of his term.

The decision clears the way for Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, who is the favorite of many Democrats, to seek the nomination unimpeded.

Cuomo’s office is investigating whether Paterson and the state police improperly contacted the woman, Sherr-una Booker, who made the allegations against his aide, David Johnson.

    democrats are scum:this from fox

In a stunning move, the House Democratic leadership yanked a bill to reauthorize the nation’s intelligence programs from the House floor after a controversy erupted over punishing CIA interrogators who may cross the line while questioning suspected terrorists.

Republicans cried foul when Democrats added a provision to the measure that could punish CIA officers for engaging in “cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment” when they interrogate terrorism suspects.

The bill was set to pass Thursday evening. But a number of moderate and conservative Democrats teamed with Republicans to show the House leadership that they didn’t have to votes to approve the bill.

The language in question is vague. The bill gives Congress several years to define terms like “cruel” and “inhuman.”

Some of the enhanced interrogation methods in question include waterboarding (where a suspect is made to feel like he or she is drowning), electric shock, beatings, the use of dogs or even placing a hood over an individual’s head.

Under the legislation, some interrogators could be jailed for 15 years if convicted or receive a life sentence if a detainee dies in custody.

“It’s topsy-turvy land where we forget who the good guys are, who the guys trying to keep us safe are and who the bad guys are,” said Intelligence Committee member Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-TX).

    But Democrats fired back.

“(The) majority and minority strongly support our intelligence community and we are absolutely committed to prosecuting this war to the fullest extent possible,” said Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA).

A senior House Republican aide said it was “a victory” that Democrats had to pull the intelligence bill from the House floor.

“Whoever observes something other than God’s revelations in his judgment not only rejects a particular aspect of Godhead but also claims for himself certain qualities of Godhead. If that is not unbelief, I wonder what is. For what use is a verbal claim of being a believer…when such action denies such a claim?”–Milestones by Sayyid Qutb, p. 7

“The term “Fitna” refers us to misconduct on the part of a man who establishes his own norms and expects obedience from others, thereby usurping God’s authority — who alone is sovereign.”–Brigadier S. K. Malik’s The Qur’anic Concept of War

Democracy is anathema to Islam…it is shirk, and the very notion of the sovereignty of the individual over his own life is rijs (an abomination), a threat to the collectivist Utopia of the Khalifat. And the fact that men and women alike take part in the democratic system and thus are equally responsible for the fitnah it creates renders those ahadith enjoining mujahedin to enslave and rape rather than kill women null and void (a kind of circumstantial nasikh, one could say), according to many of today’s Muhammadan supremacists.

Minarets are ostensibly a symbol of the political hegemony of the Shari’at; any attempts to ban the theologically-unnecessary structure are perceived to be an unforgivable offense to Allah and Islam and an indicator of the “irredeemable depravity” of kaffir souls. Kuffar are led towards “depravity” and fasaad by Allah, who hates them with a Phelps-ian hate; moreover, Allah has declared, until the return of ‘Isa bin Maryam to the Earth, that kuffar are to be mercilessly punished by al-mu’minin via the sword and then the jizya and dhimma (from dhamma, “to blame”).

Qadafi may have personal slights against the Swiss, but his statements are in the mold of classical Jihad theology, even with a little Qur’an-and-Sunna-inspired Yahud paranoia and hate thrown in…if Islam cannot “prevail” in every conceivable realm of life over kufr non-offensively, then the only choice left is al-sayyaf, holy bloodletting.

Just for the record, Switzerland was not neutral during World War 2, they converted gold into currency for the Nazis.

The gold was confiscated from Jews and political opponents of the National Socialists. Following WWII’s end, ODESSA (Organization of Former SS Members) was formed; this organization gave both financial and tactical assistance to the Muhammadan-Arab supremacists of Bilad ash-Sham and Arabia in their jihad against the fledgling Jewish state. Nazi funds were funneled to the Arab League, the PLO, to Nasser’s Egypt et al, and former Nazis received refuge in the Dar al-Islam, where they embraced the stinking creed of moon-god worship and were given high posts in the (anti-Zionist) propaganda and military wings of Egypt, Syria, and the PLO. The most prominent Swiss banker in the ODESSA hierarchy? Francois Genoud, Nazi sympathizer and “revert” to Islam, close friend of the Grand Mufti.
