Al Gore: The Global Laughing Stock

by Rodan ( 140 Comments › )
Filed under Climate, Liberal Fascism, Progressives at February 28th, 2010 - 6:00 am

Since the mid 2000′s Al Gore has been considered a wise man by the Progressive media. His propaganda film, Inconvenient Truth, was hailed as prophetic and even won him a Nobel prize. Times have now changed since the Climategate emails and the record winter we are experiencing this year. Gore has turned into a laughing stock and a butt of jokes. He runs away when questioned on his claims and refuses to debate any AGW skeptic. Even at an Apple board meeting he was ridiculed to his face. Copenhagen was a disaster and the whole AGW theory has been exposed a scheme to impose a Totalitarian money grabbing scheme.

Al Gore won a Nobel Prize and an Oscar for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. But in the last three months, as global warming has gone from a scientific near-certitude to the subject of satire, Gore — the public face of global warming — has been mum on the topic.

Al Gore won a Nobel Prize and an Oscar for his film, An Inconvenient Truth. But in the last three months, as global warming has gone from a scientific near-certitude to the subject of satire, Gore — the public face of global warming — has been silent on the topic.

Read it all: You Can Call Him Al … But Al Won’t Call You Back

Al Gore has no credibility and has been exposed as a scam artist. The whole AGW theory was a scheme designed by Tranzi Totalitarian Progressives to create a Global Neo-Feudal System. The Elites would keep their higher standard of living, but the masses would wouldn’t. Gore has become a caricature and he deserves to get mocked.

that was to get around the cold and snow in other places.lol

When Gore was confronted by an Irish journalist about the growing Polar Bear population , he had no reasonable answer.
Instead he arrogantly smirked & said something like “Do they know that?” & had the guy escorted out.
If you are trying to cause a massive transfer of wealth, you need more than hocus pocus.

  4. 4 | February 28, 2010 06:14

    @ RIX:

I don’t know. His hocus pocus was almost potent enough. Without the CRU whistleblower, Cap and Tax would probably have become a reality. So now Gore won’t reap the billions he was going to from the carbon credits scam, but he’s still laughing all the way to the bank. With better than $100 million in profit from his schlockumentary, plus the Oscar and the Nobel, he is without question the top snake oil salesman of all history. It isn’t quite being Predisten of the United States, but he would have been a bad President. Even he has to realize that. His talents are much more suited to the role of snake oil salesman. It is no wonder he has succeeded so admirably at the job.

    Morning folks,
I like how Zero sanctimoniously discussed “Climate Change” at his sotu reading, and lots of people in that hall laughed right in his face. It was a spontaneous reaction.
Only the scammers don’t want to admit it’s game over for the hoax.

I read an article that Gore has earned almost one billion from his
    AGW activity.
He is fronting for special interests that stand to get dollars thrown at them for this scam.
It could not work without the gullible like the inbitants of the Swamp.

    Good morning, teacher!

No, I think Gore wanted to get rich, more than anything. He saw global warming as a vehicle to do that, and it worked. With his lavish lifestyle (the Gulfstreams and the mansions), there is no chance that he actually believed any of the horse-shit he was selling. The only question is was he actively malevolent in that he wanted to bring the standard of living down for everyone else (except his elite buddies), or more passively malevolent in that he just didn’t give a rat’s ass. I really don’t know which of those is correct.

There is a “bipartisan” commission in the Senate to study AGW.
The members so far are John Kerry, Lieberman & Lidsey Grahm, all three of which buy into the hoax.

oh lookie here, fat albert has poped out of his igloo and still spews the same bs

We Can’t Wish Away Climate Change

I, for one, genuinely wish that the climate crisis were an illusion. But unfortunately, the reality of the danger we are courting has not been changed by the discovery of at least two mistakes in the thousands of pages of careful scientific work over the last 22 years by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. In fact, the crisis is still growing because we are continuing to dump 90 million tons of global-warming pollution every 24 hours into the atmosphere — as if it were an open sewer.

It is true that the climate panel published a flawed overestimate of the melting rate of debris-covered glaciers in the Himalayas, and used information about the Netherlands provided to it by the government, which was later found to be partly inaccurate. In addition, e-mail messages stolen from the University of East Anglia in Britain showed that scientists besieged by an onslaught of hostile, make-work demands from climate skeptics may not have adequately followed the requirements of the British freedom of information law

  13. rain of lead
    13 | February 28, 2010 06:31

Here is what scientists have found is happening to our climate: man-made global-warming pollution traps heat from the sun and increases atmospheric temperatures. These pollutants — especially carbon dioxide — have been increasing rapidly with the growth in the burning of coal, oil, natural gas and forests, and temperatures have increased over the same period. Almost all of the ice-covered regions of the Earth are melting — and seas are rising. Hurricanes are predicted to grow stronger and more destructive, though their number is expected to decrease. Droughts are getting longer and deeper in many mid-continent regions, even as the severity of flooding increases. The seasonal predictability of rainfall and temperatures is being disrupted, posing serious threats to agriculture. The rate of species extinction is accelerating to dangerous levels

    .

wow, he’s doubling, tripling down on the stupid

It’s amazing how CJ tries to make the blatant fraud among the AGW crowd including the CRU look like clerical errors.
it is bad enough that we are dealing with dishonest scientists, but we also have uneducated frauds like Johnson masquerading as scientists.

It is the “Big Lie” thing. Tell a bigg enough lie often enough and people will start to believe it. It was working until the CRU whistleblower blew the lid off the fetid mess that underlay and supported that lie. No more. Go away, Al. We see the man behind the curtain, and no one but the cultic koolaid drinkers is buying your snake oil now.

On the front page of The Washington Post this morning is an article concerning the Chilean earthquake and the potential tsunamis. It is titled “Above the surf, wondering what’s unfurling beneath” The sub title says ” Despite scientific advances in forecasting tsunamis, some big waves just never roll in”.

My first thought was that the science must be settled just like global warming. Strange how the “science” and its models failed to produce the results expected, isn’t it?

Id have to say scariest and most evil.

Lawmakers sometimes must enact policies that, even if unpopular at the moment, will help the public, Pelosi said in an interview being broadcast Sunday the ABC News program “This Week.”

When you link all the firing neurons of the left and ‘moderate’ right together, a critical mass event occurs and you end up with a low grade moron.

Then I suppose you get the morons firing all at once?

I continue to be annoyed, every Winter Olympics, at the fact that they never broadcast any of the Biathlon event, and that the US hasn’t won a medal in the Biathlon in I don’t know when.

The liberal wienies who run the networks are loath to promote any sport that involves the use of (gasp!) firearms, and the fact that the US does not seem to produce winning athletes in the sport probably doesn’t help. A fact I find odd. I mean, we have a lot of people who ski good, and a lot of good shooters. But the group of people with both skill sets in the US does not appear that large. So the event always end up being won by some Alpine, Scandinavian or Slavic nation.

Also, I think the biathlon would be more interesting if they go back to using military caliber rifles like they did from the early 50′s until the late 70′s. .22lr? Sheesh.

I voted for Gore in 2000, then developed a slight case of Gore Derangement Syndrome when I was still hoodwinked by the denial industry, before I dug into the real science behind global warming.

It is possible to overcome GDS, but you have to want to recover, and even then it’s still a day-by-day, oped-by-oped process.

Gotta be honest – I’ve never understood the criticism of Gore’s house. Or the criticism of him using private jets, etc.

He’s actually spent a huge amount of money turning his house into something of a showcase for energy conservation technologies, but nobody gives him any credit for that. In any case, it’s his money, and I don’t begrudge him anything he spends it on. I don’t get the hypocrisy charge; just because he has lots of dough, that means he’s a hypocrite for talking about AGW policies? Nope, I don’t get that.

Is he being willfully obtuse, or is he just that stupid?
