Turkey recalls Ambassador after US vote on Armenia ‘genocide’

by Speranza ( 68 Comments › )
Filed under Holocaust, Islamic Supremacism, Islamic Terrorism, Islamists, Turkey at March 5th, 2010 - 3:00 pm

In days long numbered with the past, my college Political Science professor referred me to a historical novel based on a true incident  called “The Forty Days of  Musa Dagh” by Franz Werfel. The book detailed the defense of Mount Moses by the Armenians facing deportation and genocide by the Ottoman Empire. As Turkey moves more and more into the Islamist camp – we should be reminded that the first 20th century genocide was against Armenia. Adolf Hitler was reported to have said to his Nazi acolytes regarding the coming extermination of the Jews “Who remembers the Armenians?”  Remember that the next time the Turks start bellyaching about the Palestinians.

Side note  – Armenia was the first nation to ever convert to Christianity.

by Giles Whittell

One of the worst massacres of the 20th-century came back to haunt international politics yesterday when a powerful Washington panel voted to call the murder of about 1.5 million Armenians in Turkey “genocide”.

After more than three hours of debate, the House Committee on Foreign Affairs narrowly approved a resolution calling on President Obama to “characterise the systematic and deliberate annihilation of 1.5 million Armenians as genocide”.

The vote went ahead despite last-minute pleas from the White House and State Department and triggered a furious reaction from Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish Prime Minister.

“We condemn this resolution, which accuses the Turkish nation of a crime it did not committ,” he said. As Armenian observers applauded the vote on Capitol Hill, the Turkish Ambassador to Washington was recalled.

[...]

The vote, with 23 congressmen in favour and 22 against, will also jeopardise historic efforts begun last year to create normal diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia.

“We are seriously concerned that this resolution approved by the committee despite all our warnings will harm Turkey-US ties and efforts to nomalise Turkey-Armenia relations,” Mr Erdogan added.

Mr Obama promised as a candidate to break with longstanding US practice and start calling the First World War era killings genocide if elected to the White House. He broke the promise last year, refusing to use the word on a visit to Ankara, where he praised Turkey as a model Muslim democracy.

    @ Guggi:

Many find the squat toilet more hygienic than the classic public toilet with a seat. Note the electric eye on the wall: when the user steps away, the toilet flushes and the entire area is automatically cleaned by a gush of water from the three surrounding walls.

I think they left a step out. Something having to do with a left hand and some pebbles or corn cobs or something.

Then there are the German “inspection” stools…

Oh, lordy. From the wiki page:

On November 7, 2008, Batman Mayor Hüseyin Kalkan began looking into the possibility of suing Christopher Nolan, director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and Warner Bros., distributor of the films, claiming the studios had been using “Batman”, the name of the superhero, without permission from the city, and “placing the blame for a number of unsolved murders and a high female suicide rate on the psychological impact that the film’s success has had on the city’s inhabitants.”

US President Barack Obama speaks in the East Room of the White House in Mar…

The White House on Friday announced a “summit on entrepreneurship” to build economic ties with the Islamic world, part of President Barack Obama’s outreach to Muslims.
The White House said it has invited participants from more than 40 countries over five continents for the April 26-27 conference in Washington.

“The summit will highlight the role entrepreneurship can play in addressing common challenges while building partnerships that will lead to greater opportunity abroad and at home,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

Obama first spoke of the entrepreneurship conference in his signature June 4 speech in Cairo to the Islamic world.

In the closely watched address, Obama said the United States was seeking a “new beginning” with the Islamic world to rebuild relations that had sharply deteriorated over the past decade.

Obama promised at the time that he would convene a “presidential summit on entrepreneurship” by the end of 2009.

He said that the meeting would “identify how we can deepen ties between business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.”

Obama says to reduce role of US nuclear weapons
    Published: 03.05.10, 23:03 / Israel News
US President Barack Obama said on Friday a forthcoming review of the United States’ nuclear posture would reduce the number and role of nuclear weapons in the US national security strategy.

In a statement marking the 40th anniversary of the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, Obama said: “In addition, we will seek to ratify the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty and negotiate a treaty to end the production of fissile material for use in nuclear weapons. (Reuters)

Bernard Lewis come out against “genocide”. He investigates whether their were government orders systematically to wipe out Armenians. This is the same argument and methodology used to exonerate American governments from “genocide” of the American Indians.

This is a ridiculous political hot potato. What are the consequences of calling mass killing “genocide”? The Jews are still threatened with it. The nation-perpetrators move on. The survivors may or may not be given reparations or special treatment. Darfur has been called “genocide”. No change. What difference will it make to Armenia? And what difference can it make to Turkey? If it wants to be Western/European, it should admit it, make apologies and move on.

    Muslim Prayer Opens Congress

WASHINGTON -– The silence in the great hall of the Congress was deafening as imam Abdullah Antepli started delivering the opening prayer for the House of Representatives on Wednesday, March 3.

“Asalam alaikum… peace be with you,” Antepli, the Muslim chaplain at Duke University, told the attendees who stood and bowed their heads in respect.

“O God of all nations, look with favor upon this esteemed Congress. Guard these important decision-makers with your divine light,” he said.

“Be the source of strength and comfort. Enable them to serve you and glorify your names by serving the citizens of this great nation and to the entire humanity regardless of their gender, ethnicity or religion.”

This was only the third time a Muslim religious leader was invited to deliver the opening prayers of the Congress since the tradition began in 1789 with the first Continental Congress.

How multi-cultural of them. I know for a fact that twice since 9/11/01 a Muslim has been invited to give the opening prayer for congress. I wouldnt be surprised if all 3 times have been since 9/11. Not that it really matters because terrorism works, but only because our elected shitheads kowtow to it like the bunch of cowards they are.

I understand completely, but one thing I’ve learned is that there’s no relationship between the quality of the post or the amount of work you put into it, and the quantity and quality of the comments. The most successful thread I ever did was on cow farts. That was something that everyone could contribute something to. The more esoteric and difficult the subject, the more likely you’re going to get three comments in the first half hour, and then it’s off topic.

    Just the way it is.

Wonder how long it will be until the Obama administration demands that a resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict be settled immediately in Azerbaijan’s (thus Turkey and Iran’s) favor…relinquishing the de facto independence of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh aka Artsakh and returning it to the increasingly-Islamist rule of Azerbaijan (thus, relegating the majority Armenians of the territory to genuine insecure apartheid status, to the rule of those who ruthlessly murdered and raped them in Baku and Sumgait and Maraghar etc).

Obama clearly wants to appease his OIC masters…the same OIC which has sponsored a resolution condemning Armenia for alleged “war crimes and illegal occupation” (in a manner reminiscent of the Ummat al-Muslimin‘s brutal demonization of Israel and Serbia).

If you think about it, that’s the ultimate in green engineering. Take a dump, and then shower and flush at the same time. Conserves space and water.

he more esoteric and difficult the subject, the more likely you’re going to get three comments in the first half hour, and then it’s off topic.

    Good points!

Your beloved Turks are nothing but an accident of God. He took a Shit and the Turks were created.

Rodan — apparently Rasul’allah did not envision the Islamization of the Turks, as there are numerous sahih ahadith which assert that the onset of the Hour of Resurrection is dependent upon the Ummat al-Muslimin waging Jihad against al-Atrak (i.e. the Turks, who are described in a blatantly racist manner)…

“Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Turks; people with small eyes, red faces, and flat noses. Their faces will look like shields coated with leather. The Hour will not be established till you fight with people whose shoes are made of hair.”"–Sahih Bukhari Volume 4 Book 52 Number 179

“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: The Last Hour would not come unless you fight with people whose faces are like hammered shields and the Last Hour would not come until you would fight against those wearing the shoes of hair.”–Sahih Muslim Book 41 Number 6956

“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: The Last Hour would not come until a people wearing shoes of hair fight against you having their faces like hammered shields.”–Sahih Muslim Book 41 Number 6957

“Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “The Hour will not be established till you fight with people wearing shoes made of hair. And the Hour will not be established till you fight with people whose faces look like shields coated with leather. ” (Abu Huraira added, “They will be) small-eyed, flat nosed, and their faces will look like shields coated with leather.”)”–Sahih Bukhari Volume 4 Book 52 Number 180

“Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “The Hour will not be established till you fight with the Khudh and the Kirman from among the non-Arabs. They will be of red faces, flat noses and small eyes; their faces will look like flat shields, and their shoes will be of hair.”–Sahih Bukhari Volume 4 Book 56 Number 788

“Narrated Abu Huraira: I enjoyed the company of Allah’s Apostle for three years, and during the other years of my life, never was I so anxious to understand the (Prophet’s) traditions as I was during those three years. I heard him saying, beckoning with his hand in this way, “Before the Hour you will fight with people who will have hairy shoes and live in Al-Bariz.” (Sufyan, the sub-narrator once said, “And they are the people of Al-Bazir).”"–Sahih Bukhari Volume 4 Book 56 Number 789

“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: The Last Hour would not come until you fight with a people wearing shoes of hair and the Last Hour would not come until you fight with a people having small eyes and broad snub noses.”–Sahih Muslim Book 41 Number 6958

“Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger as saying: You shall fight in the hours to come against a nation wearing shoes made of hair and faces like hammered shields, with red complexion and small eyes.”–Sahih Muslim Book 41 Number 6960

This next one is long and incomprehensible, but again references the same “prophecy”…

“An-Nawwas b. Sam’an reported that Allah’s Messenger…[said] I have brought forth from amongst My servants such people against whom none would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then Allah would send Gog and Magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of them would pass the lake of Tibering and drink out of it. And when the last of them would pass, he would say: There was once water there. Jesus and his companions would then be besieged here (at Tur, and they would be so much hard pressed) that the head of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred dinirs and Allah’s Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would supplicate Allah, Who would send to them insects (which would attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish like one single person. Allah’s Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. Allah’s Apostle, Jesus, and his companions would then again beseech Allah, Who would send birds whose necks would be like those of bactrin camels and they would carry them and throw them where God would will. Then Allah would send rain which no house of clay or (the tent of) camels’ hairs would keep out and it would wash away the earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able to drink out of that and at that time Allah would send a pleasant wind which would soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and only the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would come to them.”–Sahih Muslim Book 41 Number 7015

    I think I’ve made my point…
Why are Turks still Muslimin? Can’t they read?!
