The march of the Red-Green brigades

We have seen this before – the Brown-Red alliance from 1939 -41  which was engendered by the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, put the left squarely on Hitler’s side at the beginning of World War II. Even Leon Trotsky (hiding from Stalin’s assassins in Mexico) supported the Soviet invasion and dismemberment of Poland 16 days after the Nazi attack. Communists in Britain and the United States denounced the war as a “plutocratic, imperialist war” (Britain being the one who was denounced) and made common cause with the isolationists and anti Semites on the Right such as Charles Lindbergh.  All this ended on June 22, 1941 the start of the greatest, most barbaric war ever fought – Operation Barbarossa. That alliance, based on cynicism and a mutual hatred of democracy lasted just two years, the Leftist alliance with Jihad has lasted longer but eventually will collapse when Islam starts  attacking their “useful idiots”. These days the paleocon right and the moonbat left are both anti Semitic and want to see America humbled.

by Caroline Glick

The Red-Green alliance is on the march.

On Wednesday, the leftist-controlled European Parliament in Strasbourg passed a resolution endorsing the Goldstone Report. That report, it will be recalled, denies Israel’s right to self-defense by alleging that Israel’s actions to defend itself from illegal Palestinian aggression during the course of Operation Cast Lead were war crimes.

The resolution did more than accept the Goldstone report’s baseless claims. It sought to silence those who are trying to make the Red portion of the Red-Green alliance pay a price for its abetment of jihad. The resolution, “expresses its concern about pressure placed on NGOs involved in the preparation of the Goldstone report and in follow-up investigations, and calls on authorities on all sides to refrain from any measures restricting the activities of these organizations.”

This statement was inserted to defend the EU-supported Israeli organizations — overwhelmingly associated with the far-Left New Israel Fund — that took a lead role in providing Richard Goldstone and his associates with false allegations of illegal actions by IDF forces. Those organizations — and the New Israel Fund — have rightly been the subject of scrutiny in Israel after their role in compiling the Goldstone Report was revealed in January by the Israeli student organization Im Tirzu.

Israel is not the only target of the Red-Green alliance. Its operations span the globe. Sometimes, as in the case of the Goldstone report, the Left leads the charge. Sometimes, as with the case of the Hamas-led missile offensive against Israel that preceded Cast Lead, the jihadists move first. In general, jihadists are motivated to attack non-Muslims by their religious belief that Islam must dominate the world. And in general, the Left’s justification of jihadist aggression stems from its neo-Marxist faith that the liberal nation-state is the root of all evil. Whether the Left recognizes that if successful, its collusion with jihadists will lead to the destruction of human freedom is subject to debate. But whether or not the Left understands the consequences of its actions, they have played a key role in abetting this goal.

The Left gives a damn about human freedom. Human freedom is the antithesis of leftism.

Let us imagine Eurabia is an established polity. The Muslim majority has created a post-national Caliphate (with or without an actual Caliph). The former leftists now are governed by a theocracy which also has redistributive, anti-market policies. It hates homosexuals, women are subject to Sharia, sex and public undress and nudity are banned, along with much of modern ‘art’, and old art – the statue of David, the Mona Lisa – is burned or buried. Are the leftists happy now?
Actually, they are. Their adoption of ‘liberation’ and libertinism was merely a means to undermine the underpinnings of the democratic nation state: the individual and the family. The most power-hungry among them will convert. And those that rise to the top will be able to indulge their sexual and other appetites as they will. Totalitarian conformity is the goal – the kind of uniform is irrelevant. If everyone is a slave, no-one is.

the Leftist alliance with Jihad has lasted longer but eventually will collapse when Islam starts attacking their “useful idiots”.

Will it? Or will the leftists just try to rationalize the attacks by radical Islam against them? Will they claim that it’s something they’ve done- not going far enough in supporting the Jihadists for example, or the fact that the American left didn’t do enough to stamp out the Joooos and the eeevil Christians?

Will they collapse, sobbing in a heap because the Jihadi’s don’t like them? Will they try to be even MORE accomodating of the slaughter of innocents?

    @ Guggi:

Anyway, it is increasingly clear that the president feels more connection to the Palestinians specifically and the Arabs generally than he does to the Israelis (and just possibly more connection to Muslims than to Jews, to Islam than to Judaism and Jewishness.)

So he is stuck with the allies he has chosen. In the long run, it will not matter. The Palestinians will not play even the minimal accommodating role in peace-seeking that Obama has assigned them. There are relentless facts about Palestine that even the president’s disregard for Jewish sensibility and for Israel’s security will not be able to alter.

Shrillary is going wild today over the announcement of 1600 apartments (years into the future) in northern Jerusalem after Joe Biden made remarks showing that this announcement really wasn’t the end of the world.

She called Israel’s Prime Minister and yelled at him for 43 minutes. This is how she defines “diplomacy.”

    It’s definitely Obama’s foreign policy:

    1. Suck up to enemies.
    2. Bow to foreign monarchs (only non-western ones).
    3. Coo at terrorist groups like Fatah.
    4. Scream at Jews when the terrorist groups get angry.

Hillary has the whole 120 year old conflict in the Holy Land down to the future of 1600 little apartments in a religious Jewish area where one-third of them are being designed for young married couples.

This is the ENTIRE Arab-Israeli conflict to Hillary.

She keeps her trap shut most of the time these days unless she’s complaining about working 24 hours per day doing whatever it is she’s not telling us that she’s doing.

She should have kept her trap shut today, too.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday that the State Department is soliciting comments from citizens, advocacy groups and other non-governmental organizations on the human rights record of the United States.

“Human rights are universal, but their experience is local. This is why we are committed to holding everyone to the same standard, including ourselves,” Clinton told a press briefing at the State Department, where she unveiled the “2009 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices.”

Clinton said the U.S. is now gathering facts on its own record because – as a member of the U.N. Human Rights Council – it is participating in the UNHRC’s “universal periodic review” process.

The Obama administration’s decision to join the Human Rights Council was controversial. The Geneva-based, 47-member HRC faces numerous criticisms, chief among them the presence of countries with poor rights records. Iran is currently running for a seat on the council.

    Fuckin unbeliveable!

What nonsense. You either have a government which protects liberty via the limitation of its powers, enforced by the rule of law, or you do not.

There are very few of these in the world, and the current gang—clearly, including Hillary Clinton—are doing their level best to ensure that the US will soon no longer be among them.

There are no such things as “human rights”: there is a commitment to liberty or there is not. Everything else is putting lipstick on the pig of despotism.

    You wonder about Europeans ?

In 1972 a delegation of European jurists in behalf of the Council of Europe went to Saudi Arabia to learn more about Sharia and Human Rights. Note: this was after the implementation of corporal punishment (like cutting of hands or feets, tearing out eyes etc.):

35.Whereupon, the members of the European Commission, beginning with President MacBride, spoke in turn. They declared themselves deeply impressed by all that they had heard, concerning Moslem Doctrine and Human Rights in Islam. Mr. MacBride, particularly, said:

“It is here, in this Moslem country, that Human Rights should be proclaimed, nowhere else. To Moslem canonists belongs the task to enlighten the world on these things, as it is sheer ignorance which has led the enemies of Islam and Moslems to attack and blemish the name of Islam, Moslems, and Islamic government.”

The President of the European Commission urgently demanded, that these important answers be written down and handed to the members of the Commission, so as to constitute a document which they, in turn, would use to defend Islam and explain its realities.

One of his colleagues congratulated this young State, on the admirable manner in which Human Rights were, through Islam, upheld and protected in the Kingdom. In the end, he said: “As a Christian, I declare that here, in this Moslem country, God is revered in all truth.” He professed his agreement with Moslem canonists in asserting that, after what he had heard, and actually seen, he held Koranic prescriptions on human rights as undoubtedly more meaningful than the Charter of Human Rights.

    —–

MacBride was one of the co-founders of Amnesty International.

    @ Eliana:

2 threads back I linked to some other events that took place while Joe Biden was visiting the region that for some odd reason didn’t upset our dear Government as much as Jews building homes for their families.

0 was the Phakestinians burning U.S. flags.

1 was a terrorist march to express complete Muslim dominance and exclusion of any Jewish rights over Judaism’s Holiest Site, where they wielded AK47s. (oddly the pics of the women marching with AK47s has been removed)

2 was an attack on innocent Israeli children who were guilty of nothing other than riding in the car with their mother while Jewish.

3 was an actual Phakestinian rocket attack against innocent Israeli citizens.

    4. was Phakestinians rushing the Temple Mount, rioting, and trying to force themselves in mass onto Judaism’s Holiest Site. (this one infuriates me when I think of the police response when even 5 Jews try to visit)

    5. Phakestinians attacked Israeli police with boulders.

If we changed it to only civilized nations, we could have the meetings in my basement.

Actually, that would be pretty cool. Since most of the civilized nations make decent alcoholic beverages, we could have a rotating thing where they each brought samples (say, a couple cases or kegs, as the case may be).

On a tangent, I don’t think you could call the VP the second most powerful man in the world, and certainly not this one.
The VP doesn’t really have any decisions to make. His biggest power is in inheritance factor, or in the unlikely event of an evenly divided senate. But he is little more than a tool of the president, who doesn’t have his own agenda or agency.

More powerful people than the US vice president would be, in my quick estimation, the speaker of the house (ugh…), leader of China or Russia or India or the prime minister of the UK; the Pope perhaps. After that, I think heads of global corporations or NGO’s would rank higher than the VP of the US.

Forget us, the hostiles, how does Dark Falcon feel about how CJ treated his staunch defender, Irish Rose. C’mon, she was of the faithful and started her blog just to defend CJ. Dark Falcon is in deep denial about the kind of person CJ is.

Cluck has completely neutered dork fowl. He is like a court jester eunuch. It is sad really to see him grovel.

I heat my house with carbon neutral wood. This stuff is actually sawmill reject. The sawmills can afford to be picky these days. Now is the time to build a house, the lumber is clear and cheap.
