This is not for the faint of heart (warning: don’t watch if you’re easily grossed out). This is a brain infecting fungusideology, and how ant colonies deal with it.
It’s hard to argue with the method. If they let this spread, the whole colony will be wiped out. This is what we should do with anyone showing signs of Progressive Dementia -- take them out into the woods, far, far away from civilization, let the disease take its course, and hope the spores don’t find their way back.
Note that this is full of metaphor. Let me point one out: this parasite, like many other parasites including germs, as they said at the end of the video, insures biodiversity. It does it, as they said, by making sure that no species becomes dominant. In general, parasites tend to equalize by preferentially attacking the most successful species.
I think you can see the metaphor for progressive socialism: attack the strong, suck the life out of them, redistribute to the rest, but above all, assure that the parasite prospers.

Seriously, yeah, it looks like the lines for a war are shaping up. Israel needs to ignore “world opinion” and MSM propaganda and do the job this time. Better to do what is necessary and weather the one time intense storm of protest that to go on with this low intensity conflice and somewhat muted condemnation from the “world” (somewhat means “barely” as far as I can see. How much worse can it get?). It is like when you find yourself in bed with an ugly woman. Sometimes it is just best to close your eyes and get down to business…

I agree 100%. This is something you too must experience, but it is amazingly frustrating when I try to explain this to even my supposedly Pro-Israel friends. No matter how delicately, or historically bolstered I state it, they never-the-less look at me as if I were supporting Osama Bin Laden. Then usually ramble on about “two states living side by side in peace according to the 1967 armistice lines…”
Even this week, I attended an AIPAC event where they rambled on about how the “Palestinians” want peace, and Israel should be willing to “give back” land to them for peace if there is a partner to do so. If this is AIPAC’s message, how does Israel ever expect to survive and keep friends?
What is your opinion on why there is such a disconnect within even the Pro-Israel community, and what if anything do you believe will turn the tide.

I often ponder what are the political reasons for keeping the status quo. Because that is what it seems is the goal. After 60 years, Gaza in particular, could be an Israeli vacation destination.

Now that I can’t answer you on. I have no idea why Israel allows it ti fester. Militarily, it might take them a month to clean out Gaza and the West Bank, but they could do it in separate operations. The Mohammedans will bitch and scream “Death to Israel”, but they will do that anyway. You have to understand the Israeli to understand their response. Although the media shows nothing but tough Israelis in uniforms, tanks, holding guns, etc., they are not a politically aggressive people. The old understanding is that the Israeli is hard on the outside but very soft on the inside. Even the founding Zionists who no one could claim were “soft” when it came to fighting, spent their downtime reading, singing, writing poetry, and folk dancing.
Israelis fight out of necessity, not out of enjoyment. Stating that they “want peace” is more than just a useful talking point, it is the truth…they really, actually want peace! I have not the slightest doubt that Israelis want peace. Who, other than the depraved and insane, does not?
I have a high opinion of the Israeli people, even if it isn’t as Romantic as yours. But I am very sceptical of the political elite. The longterm interests of a country and the more immediate interests of politicians are often not the same.
This metaphor is directly on point. The more powerful and ascendant a culture is, the morely likely it will become afflicted with the parasite. Very interesting.

In short, my personal opinion (and that is all you should take as) is yes.
Not only does our religious tradition teach peace, understanding, coexistance, and love (although not suicide as many argue), after thousands of years as a minority in numerous countries we have learned to be powerless, think of ourselves as powerless, think of the powerless, and keep our heads down. Despite the accusations, it is not the way of a Jew to make a fuss. We really just want to be left alone.

the problem is that you are faced with an unappeasable enemy. All the Palis want, I mean all they want, is to exterminate the Jews. They are worse than the Nazis in this respect. You have to understand the Israeli to understand their response. Although the media shows nothing but tough Israelis in uniforms, tanks, holding guns, etc., they are not a politically aggressive people. The old understanding is that the Israeli is hard on the outside but very soft on the inside. Even the founding Zionists who no one could claim were “soft” when it came to fighting, spent their downtime reading, singing, writing poetry, and folk dancing.
Israelis fight out of necessity, not out of enjoyment. Stating that they “want peace” is more than just a useful talking point, it is the truth…they really, actually want peace! So much so, that they are willing (although against their better judgment) to do ANYTHING for it including giving up land that is rightfully theirs.
Thus Gaza and the other Phakestinians are truly seen mostly as an annoyance to them more than an evil enemy that must be destroyed. They don’t want to wipe them off the face of the earth, they want to be left alone.
