Neo Nazi Flag at Tea Party?

by savage ( 243 Comments › )
Filed under Blogwars, LGF at March 30th, 2010 - 4:07 pm

If Charles Johnson thinks so, then it must be! OMG!

This is the picture of the flag the idiot is referring to…

Hey, dummy over there under Denver International Airport, it’s the Tennessee state flag.

I’d love to see that shit-for-brains say that crap on the steps of the state capitol in Nashville, or anywhere else in Nashville or the state of Tennessee for that matter.

Maybe Charles ought to pop off his big fat mouth at the Gerst Haus, a most excellent German restaurant just east of downtown Nashville. They have a lot of great food in there.
ed. note: I have eaten there many times over the years and it is quite a nice place. Take a look at the menu.

Sheesh!

It’s the flag of a Southern state, so it is racist by definition according to Chuckles, who has one of the worst cases of Dixiephobia of any man I have ever seen.

There is an Afrikaaner Neo-Nazi organization that has a flag that has a red background, a white circle in the center and three black “v” shape symbols hooked together in the white circle. That might have been what he thought he was seeing, but you’d need to be half blind to mistake the Tennessee flag for it. I think it’s a case of Chuck expecting to see Neo-Nazis, and projecting fragments of Neo-Nazi imagery he has seen over the years onto things that are not.

In addition to his Dixiephobia, Chuck has Naziopia. He sees Nazis everywhere.

Charles ” Icarus” Johnson goes from being one of the first people to expose the rake Rathergate memo and scoring a big victory against the fascist mainstraim media perpetrating fraud on America.

    to

not even being able to spot a United States flag and labeling it a neonazi flag and exposing himself as a complete fraud !

in a matter of a few short years.

That’s kind of a glimpse into the mind, I think.

Going on internet scavenger hunts for signs of neo-Nazis at tea party rallies, looking for dirt, eventually being driven to the point of thinking (aloud) that anything remotely weird (like a flag you don’t recognise) might be the proverbial pot of gold.

The lengths some go to attempt to prove something, I tell ya.

Now that I think about it, this association warfare has been CJ’s MO for quite some time. He’s managed to get quite a few people riled up over it, so maybe he’s just sticking with what works. It appears that’s his shtick now, though. Call him: The Associator

Anyway, at least the lizards caught it right away. I wouldn’t have guessed that was the TN flag.

    Found this on wiki:

The Afrika Korps were never accused of any war crimes, and Rommel himself referred to the fighting in North Africa as Krieg ohne Hass—war without hate. Numerous examples exist of Rommel’s chivalry towards Allied POWs, such as his defiance of Hitler’s infamous Commando Order following the capture of Lt. Roy Woodridge and Lt. George Lane as part of Operation Fortitude, as well as his refusal to comply with an order from Hitler to execute Jewish POWs. During Rommel’s time in France, Hitler ordered him to deport the Jews in France; Rommel disobeyed the order. Several times he wrote letters protesting the treatment of the Jews. When British Major Geoffrey Keyes was killed during a failed commando raid to kill or capture Rommel behind German lines, Rommel ordered him buried with full military honours. Also, during the construction of the Atlantic Wall, Rommel directed that French workers were not to be used as slaves but were to be paid for their labour

    .

Interesting. Rommel, of course, wasn’t a Nazi, and lost his life because he plotted to assassinate Hitler. But those are just the facts. CJ and the Psychophants aren’t interested in that.

His son Manfred who later became a Mayor of a large German city (I forgot which one, maybe Dusseldorf) also was mad an honorary citizen of Jerusalem.

    Anatomy of a Wingnut Smear

Blogosphere | Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 9:21:09 pm PDT

Glenn Reynolds links to this dishonest post today: Weasel Zippers: Charles Johnson ‘Fairly Sure’ the Tennesee State Flag is a Neo-Nazi Logo…

In the post to which Reynolds links, “Weasel Zippers” took a screenshot of a comment I posted here at LGF, asking if a flag seen in a tea party video might be a neo-Nazi flag — and then ignored the comments that followed minutes later in the same thread, in which I clearly said the flag was a Tennessee flag.

This isn’t the first time “Weasel Zippers” has pulled this kind of dishonest trick, either.

These people are so crazy it boggles the mind — and they’re liars too. And notice how neither “Weasel Zippers” nor Glenn Reynolds actually linked to the thread where my comment appeared, because that would let people check their lies.

I don’t expect Mr. Zippers to retract his lie because this is what he does, but I thought Glenn Reynolds used to care about the truth a little more than this. Will he correct the record?

Charles should learn to keep his mouth shut until he knows the facts.

Oh, but wait! If he did we would have nothing to laugh at…. Carry on Charles!

“This isn’t the first time ‘Weasel Zippers’ has pulled this kind of dishonest trick, either.” — Nothing dishonest about it. The screen shot of Chucklehead’s original post speaks for itself. One of his own minions had to correct him (like walking on eggshells no doubt) suggesting that “the debate” was “if it is” the Tennessee flag. Chuckle’s response? A grudging “Hmm. That’s possible.”

That’s his defense at this “latest smear.”

That name sounds familiar, but you might not be able to find him in a search if Charles deleted all his comments. He’s been known to make ex-posters “disappear” that way.

It is widely reported that MRS. Buckhead was a minion and brought the story over the LGF. The fact that Snowball NEVER gave Buckhead direct credit is a very sore point over at Freep. He would say “I heard about it from posters” in general terms when asked how it came to his notice. Fox News, as a matter of fact, gives Freep all the credit for breaking that story.

Buckhead, if you see the original post that night, didn’t hem and haw. He flat out said “these are forgeries.” Snowball was 12 hours late to the party.

A very common tactic of neo-fascist groups is to take the swastika and “rotate” it, extend the arms, or slant the “spokes,” to disguise its swastika origins.

Christopher Hitchens was attacked in Beirut because he defaced the sign of a Lebanese fascist group that used one of these disguised swastikas.

If you view the youtube video in 480p fullscreen, it’s very clear that the flag being paraded through the crowd between about 2.15 and 2.33 has a WHITE circle and a BLACK “Y”- like symbol – VERY different and much closer to the Afrikaner Neo-Nazi flag you’ve described in another comment than the Southern State flag.

    @ The Osprey:

The TN State flag is red with a blue circle and white stars.

    @ snowcrash:
He should try Googling a Red Flag with a white circle and a black symbol – Google the wrong thing and you get the wrong result – DUH!
