H.R. 4997 (ih), currently under review, proposes a requirement that all cinematic movie theaters replace standard xenon arc lamps with energy saving fluorescent bulbs or tubes and to retrofit the projectors with  “kinetoscope” discs, rotated via electrical motors powered by photovoltaic cells, to allow frame-by-frame illumination. Films that previously employed the standard 24 frames per second shall be reduced to 8 to 16 frames per second in order to shorten the length of  the illumination power requirements.

You gotta be kidding me. IF this is ture it would put motion picture technology back to the 1930′s (if not farther back).

That was one of those things that’s just goofy enough to be an actual bill.

    But isn’t.

It’s sad that it’s getting so hard to tell the fake news from reality these days…

No, what that means is that Hollywood libs got an exemption for their industry, and the burden of “reducing energy use to save the environment” is going to fall on someone else…

Did anyone post this article? MasterCard offers card aimed at Muslims. A new interest-free credit card, the first of its kind in North America, aims to reconcile Islamic canonical law and Western consumer culture

    Speaking of which…

“Riba (Usury, i.e. Charging Interest) Constitutes War Against Allah and His Messenger

Ibn Jurayj said that Ibn `Abbas said that,

    [فَأْذَنُواْ بِحَرْبٍ]

(then take a notice of war) means, “Be sure of a war from Allah and His Messenger.” He also said, “On the Day of Resurrection, those who eat Riba will be told, `take up arms for war.”’ He then recited,

    [فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُواْ فَأْذَنُواْ بِحَرْبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ]

(And if you do not do it, then take a notice of war from Allah and His Messenger.)

`Ali bin Abi Talhah said that Ibn `Abbas said about,

    [فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُواْ فَأْذَنُواْ بِحَرْبٍ مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ]

(And if you do not do it, then take a notice of war from Allah and His Messenger,) “Whoever kept dealing with Riba and did not refrain from it, then the Muslim Leader should require him to repent. If he still did not refrain from Riba, the Muslim Leader should cut off his head.”"–Tafsir ibn Kathir “Surah al-Baqarah [Q 2]“

So, according to Shari’a, if one charges interest then Jihad must be waged against him…usury is haraam (forbidden) and al-Munkar (shirk and evil), therefore the mujahid followers of al-Mahi (the exterminator of kufr and shirk, Rasul’allah Muhammad) must fight those who engage in it with al-sayf (the sword).

“The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief [PD: FASADAN -- acts contrary to the Shari'a] in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off from opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.”–Qur’an 5:33-34, Translation of Muhammad Mohsin Khan

“CXII: “The reprisal against those who wage war on Allah and His Messenger, and go about the earth corrupting it, is that they should be killed or crucified, or have their alternate hands and feet cut off, or be banished from the land.” (5:33) Waging war against Allah is rejecting Him.”–Tafsir of Imam al-Bukhari

    “{ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَأُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَاباً شَدِيداً فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ }

As for the disbelievers, I will chastise them with a terrible chastisement in this world, through being killed, taken captive and made to pay the jizya, and the Hereafter, in the Fire; they shall have no helpers, none to protect them from it.”–Tafsir al-Jalalayn “Surat al-Imran [Q 3]“

Usury=Shirk=Mandate for Muslimin to Crucify and Mutilate Kafirin and Mushrikin
    Disturbing.

It’s a prepaid charge card, not an interest-free credit card. From Geller‘s own link:

With the iFreedom Plus Mastercard, holders load up their card with cash in advance, up to $6,000. Each purchase draws down on the account without accruing interest.

The concept follows the Islamic principle that finance should be backed by owned assets. It was approved by a panel of Muslim religious scholars, Mr. Kalair said.

“You’re spending money you actually own,” he said. “There’s a certain degree of stress when you use a credit card. On this one there isn’t.”

Cardholders pay $50 for two years of use and each transfer of cash on to the card costs 95 cents.

And since the new product doesn’t actually involve credit, applicants are approved without a credit check.

Found this story at Drudge. As if there aren’t “bigger fish to fry” in this insane world. A 70 year old woman has been fined and has to wear an electronic tag for selling a gold fish to a minor!!!!!!!!!!!!

Under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 it is illegal to sell pets – including goldfish – to children under the age of 16 unless they are accompanied by an adult. Pet shops must also provide advice on animal welfare to buyers.

The maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to 12 months, or a fine of up to £20,000, or both.

The Higgins family’s ordeal began when council officials heard that Majors Pet Shop in Sale, Greater Manchester, was selling animals to children.

They sent the 14-year-old schoolboy into the shop to carry out a test purchase and Mr Higgins sold him the goldfish without questioning his age or providing any information about the care of the fish.

It’s not just a middle eastern thing. It’s happened all over the world and it’s still happening now. The middle man sets up a deal between two parties who aren’t in contact with each other, or even despise each other, and the middleman takes a cut at the risk of being accused of price gouging. It’s called business.

Me and two gun teams with 2nd platoon all decked out in war paint just before heading for an all night ambush 2 miles from base camp.

Scary ass night, first we capture an NVA on our way to ambush site, ( he snuck into the ville for some boom boom and was making his way back to his unit) lol.

All we bagged was half a dozen NVA sashaying down the road, good thing too, if a larger NVA force came down that road we would have been cooked with no way to get relieved, they had to pound the area with arty the rest of the night just in case a large force was heading ouw way.

    Bu bye GoTC

“Traffic police followed the car and almost caught up — at that time the blast hit,” Nurgaliyev said. He said the deadly cargo was headed for the center of Kizlyar. There was a school and law enforcement building nearby.

As investigators and residents gathered at the scene of the blast, a second bomber wearing a police uniform approached and set off explosives, killing the town’s police chief among others, Nurgaliyev said.

I love it! Simple, factual statements:

The campaign’s organizers chose to plaster the posters on buses whose routes take them through predominately Arab neighborhoods of east Jerusalem.

With regards to the campaign, Volpo said Israel is waiting breathlessly for the coming of the messiah and the rebuilding of the temple.

“The Arabs and President Obama know that the Temple will be built on the Temple Mount,” he said. “Instead of the temporary buildings that are there today.”

Speaking to The Jerusalem Post on Sunday, Marzel said it was no mistake that the Islamic shrines were left out of the picture.

“We’re representing the truth, in front of everyone, and saying out loud what every Jew believes,” Marzel said. “That the Third Temple needs to be built immediately on the Temple Mount and that the mosque should not be there.”

“The Arabs and President Obama…..” It looks like they have the lay of the political land down pat!

    Obama declared war on G-d

The huge Chabad Rally that was held at Yad Eliyahu in Tel – Aviv to mark the Lubavitcher Rebbe′s birth 108 years ago, was dedicated this year to Yerushalayim.
Rabbi Shalom Dov Volpo, Chairman of the ′Our Land of Israel′ Movement addressed the President of the United States, Barak Hussein Obama in his speech. Rabbi Volpo warned him, that because of his actions, he declared open war against G-d, and he would be punished, as happened to all enemies of Israel who went to war against the Jewish nation.Rabbi Volpo called on the government not to yield to the current struggle against the United States, and build in the entire city of Yerushalyim. Rabbi Volpo′s remarks against the President of the United States were greeted with loud applause from the audience.

The latest cab from LTI, the TX4-a reference to the FX4 that was launched in 1959-is powered by a Euro IV compliant twin overhead cam, common rail 2.5-liter turbo-diesel engine with twin balancer shafts. The engine is supplied by Italian VM Motori. The engine mapping has been configured to supply maximum torque at low speeds for quick acceleration and improved flexibility across a wide power band for optimum performance in traffic and on the open road, all with the lowest possible emissions and fuel consumption.

Not an urban legend. The National Guard troops who were sent to the border during the Bush administration were not issued ammo for their weapons.

Neither were the ones who were guarding airports after 9/11.
