Cap-N-Trade Bill on its way

by Rodan ( 92 Comments › )
Filed under Economy, Liberal Fascism, Republican Party, Tranzis at April 16th, 2010 - 9:00 am

The Trani Progressive concept of Cap and Tax is on its way. Thanks to the assistance of Compassionate Conservative Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the bill is et to be introduced April 26th.  Unlike the Eugenics based Obamacare, this has the support of Elitist Republicans and will all likely pass.

WASHINGTON, April 15 (Reuters) – A long-awaited compromise bill to reduce U.S. emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases blamed for global warming will be unveiled by a group of senators on April 26, sources said on Thursday.

The legislative language to be sketched out in 11 days, according to government and environmental sources, is being drafted by Democratic Senator John Kerry, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and independent Senator Joseph Lieberman.

Backers of the environmental bill hope the unveiling will pave the way for the full Senate to debate and pass a measure in June or July if the compromise attracts enough support from a group of moderate Republicans and Democrats.

Read the rest: US Senate climate bill to be unveiled

This shows us why primaries are important. If the Republicans had stayed united on this, they can filibuster. However since the elite of the GOP is Progressive, they will cooperate. Unlike Obamacare, the public is not getting riled up about this bill. Make no mistake about it, Cap and Tarde is about control. The government will determine how mush energy is used and will make it more expensive. This is Neo-Feudalism and shame on the Republican traitors like Lindsey Graham who are enabling this Tranzi scheme.

It’s Miss Lindsey Graham to you!

  3. 3 | April 16, 2010 9:30 am

Does Miss Lindsey have any sisters? He reminds me of acquaintances that I had in the Carolinas who were raised in better families of all male offspring. They were all pampered as children and had adversarial relationships with their mothers from being kept under their skirts for far to long in their respective development. Mom never had a Belle to send to the ball so their sons served as surrogate daughters until they were sent away to private Christian and day schools.

I prefer Sweet Southern Mamma’s Boy/ Belle of the Ball linsey Grahm, it is more illustrative.

If there are still insurance companies left after this is all over, the rates for homeowners insurance are going to skyrocket. I expext to see a spike in fires of older homes that would have a loss in return if all of the ‘green’ upgrades required before selling by the bill where complied with to gain the ‘house license’.

They are trying to enslave us, pure and simple. This bill is more esoteric and complex than healthcare and will not raise everyones hackles as readily.

November is coming and each conservative candidate vote counts like a grain of powder in a .500 Nitro Express.

It is all about redistribution and reparations.

I have heard that they may make provisions in the proposed VAT to allow tax rebates or credits to low income people. If I heard correctly it would be something link the earned income tax credit.

I may be unclear a bit about the details, but they could use the same mechanism for cap and tax to placate their base.

This is getting so bad that I wonder when and how, other acorn and acorn like groups, they will turn elections to utter fictions. With my tin-foil hat securely fastened, I wonder if the silence of the GOP and weak candidates might be one face of this.

Cap & Trade is an economy killer ,. all in the name of Global Warming.
The onus is on the advocates to prove that Global Warming has any significant human component. They haven’t done that, they have not even proven Global Warming.
The most that can be said is that we are experiencing ‘Climate Change” & that is what has gone on forever, even before we got here.
This is about control, politically & economically.

Michael Steele is a Donkeys Ass Progressive too.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele embraced the Rev. Al Sharpton as a “strong leader” yesterday while comparing some in his own party to an elephant’s rear end.

Steele so far has weathered a recent controversy over RNC spending, including a $2,000 tab at a bondage-themed club in California, which upset fellow Republicans.

But his speech to a midtown gathering of Sharpton’s National Action Network could set off a new round of GOP head-scratching.

Though Sharpton has long been vilified by Republicans, Steele hailed him as a “friend.”

“We have spent time at various events together and at all times, we have talked about how do we move forward,” Steele said.

Steele, the RNC’s first African-American chairman, said he wanted to correct the party’s past missteps with the black community.

“I work every day in this job, as I like to put it, to turn the elephant,” he said, referring to the party’s iconic symbol.

“Now, I don’t know if you ever had to turn an elephant, but the end you have to start with is not necessarily the best place to start.”

Aides later stressed that Steele was not referring to anyone in particular and was only talking about his efforts to better position his party.

He referred only indirectly to the Club Voyeur dust-up.

“You can’t please everyone,” he said, “but you can certainly make them all mad at you at the same time. Apparently, I am pretty good at that.”

    @ Kirly:

Mr. Steele needs to go ASAP after the November election to get a street fighter in there for the big prize in ’12. He can’t be booted now due to the MSM racist rethugs meme that will ensue and not wear off before the mid-term.

probably so. but, how much effort and money and productivity was wasted in the process of proving to idiot progs that, well, they are idiots?
