No, you’re not going to excrete several baked rectangular prisms of earthen material once your frontal lobes dissect this image and it’s not an offensive term for carnal knowlege of cognitive operations, but it’s still kinda cool.

The link to the  original image was lost due to cognitive dissonance on my part. For my penance, I’ll suffer through another Overnight Open Thread.

Yes. You can burn fuldkommen gak as cooking/heating fuel and compress the remaining excess into blocks – then hit ‘em with a propane torch, and they’re good to go as glazed tile.

This should surprise no one. BHO and his crew of toadies have always thought of themselves as a reincarnation of FDR and the New Dealers, and of course this requires a Herbert Hoover. They are in for a rude shock when they discover the America of 2010 is not the same country it was in 1932.

Hey, Who Let Those Neo-Nazis In Here?
US NEWS | Sat, May 22, 2010 at 5:54:34 pm PDT

    Oops.

A national anti-illegal-immigration group has pulled out of a planned June 5 rally in Phoenix to support Arizona’s immigration law because of a key organizer’s alleged links to neo-Nazis.

The website for the “Phoenix Rising” Arizona Rally and Freedom March event scheduled for Wesley Bolin Plaza lists as “confirmed” speakers former Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, state Sen. and Senate Bill 1070 sponsor Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, and GOP Senate challenger J.D. Hayworth, although a spokesman said Hayworth won’t be participating.

That’s downright incoherent. What group, and who’s the Nazi? Is it my imagination, or did the posts over there at one time make some semblance of sense?

Smeriglio, whose group is called Voice of The People USA, could not be reached for comment but defended himself in a lengthy written statement on his website. He strenuously denied being a racist.

“Out of the 2,200 friends on my Facebook page, two apparently had or have some association with groups that do NOT represent my beliefs, particularly regarding illegal immigration,” Smeriglio wrote. “When this was brought to my attention I immediately removed and blocked the two individuals in question, because I stand against illegal immigration with no hatred in my heart for any person, race or religion.”

Got a more polished look to the featured Pages section now. Been working on the plumbing behind the scenes too.

Coming next: image support. With that, Pages becomes a complete blogging system.

Every time I look at those pages, they’re better and better!

And wow – 36 cookbooks sold as of right now! Several sold yesterday.

Proceeds support LGF and the wonderful features here, as well as the ongoing regular LGF where we have such an easy time interacting, arguing, discussing and joking around.

There’s the “donate” and “subscription” options, of course, and also, for a mere $16.35 plus about $4 postage, you can buy your Very Own Copy of Volume 2 of the LGF Cookbook.

And while you’re there take a look at Volume 1; if you order both at the same time, there’s only ONE postage fee (not two!).

These will be collector’s items in a few years, folks! Get yours now.

My God, I have not checked in to see how Charlie’s minions are doing for quite a while, and what I suspected is now become reality. You have all followed your pied piper CJ off the cliff, into the weeds, down into the water, and sunk. Nothing happening here anymore, just gurgling now… From what I can ascertain, LGF has become a sort of a cross between Lucianne and the Huffington Post’s ugly little disowned sister. It has to gall you that AJ Infowars is linked on the Drudge report and you people have gone nowhere but straight down. Why do you not dispense with all of the girly boy chatter and find yourselves a direction here?

how much whining can you do?…what more can be said?…the courts will decide if it’s constitutional…incessant whimpering about it is boring…if voters want to know the details they can simply refer to the federal law that is not enforced, same thing

Steve, people on LGF are going to discuss things. They’re going to post things like Sarah Palin’s reaction to the law. It’s not ‘whining’, and it makes you look foolish to call it that.

The law is not the same as the federal law. There are two huge differences, right off the bat: This law mandates that police officers do a citizenship check during any stop of a person, rather than simply empowering them to, and it allows people to sue the police if they feel they’re not enforcing this law vigilantly enough. There are myriad other differences, as well– as you might expect from a law partially penned by a white supremacist.
I get that you’re fine with the bill. Perhaps instead of simply saying that anyone who talks about the bill is whining, you could come up with a cogent defense of the bill. Charles laid out the reasons why it’s a nasty piece of work pretty well, and a lot of other posters have added to that. I think this rally is a very good demonstration of the dangers of the sort of racist demagoguery typified by this bill.

Role Playing Games as we know them were invented by ex-military men. Arneson designed his armour class / hit points scheme based on the Navy. And now I feel like listing D&D modules for conservatives…

Top choice: X4, X5, and especially X10 – the Master of the Desert Nomads series. Some evil cleric across the desert sets up a theocracy and invades the divided “Known World”. Your job is to assassinate the bastard and (in X10 – more a remake than a sequel) defeat his armies. Good luck publishing this stuff today.

CM1, Test of the Warlords, was good too; you had to run a barony as well as to do the adventuring thing.

And Dragonlance was pretty much LDS; Tracy Hickman’s play for the title of the Mormon CS Lewis.

Actually pretty much ALL of D&D was politically incorrect. You can’t negotiate with orcs. Learnt that one in the Pomarj section of “Scourge of the Slave Lords” – orcs like to raise the white flag so you’ll come into range of their missiles.

This is what’s wrong with Congress. We are spending money we don’t have, on programs that don’t work, and worse yet, we have no plan to pay it back — other than to hand the bill to our children.

This is exactly why we need to put the brakes on $800 billion stimulus packages.

Yes it is. As I have said many times, I am not a Dem and I am not Obama’s biggest fan. I consider him the much lesser of evils. That is not a ringing endorsement.

So he’s not a Republican, and he’s not a Democrat. I doubt he’s a Libertarian, and he’s too opinionated to be an Independent. I suspect he’s registered as a vulva.

The Village is starting to misspell and curse again, so it must be last call on the west coast. As for me, I’m signing out for tonight. See y’all on BlogMock Radio tomorrow.

172 posts later and someone has to point out why the “Image du jour” is remarkable.

“Up your nose with a rubber hose” was the closest.

The top young lady has her nose on upside down.

    Nite!

YEP! I always wanted to be there. Sunset bay state park is a great place to just stay and rest a while. One of the few places in America that a road named “Lighthouse Way” actually leads to a lighthouse.

Truck with an oversized topper and a tent.

Sleep in the truck on cold nights, tent on mild nights. Shit in the woods when it is dark.

The part of the quote in italics may be the clue. What if LudWank is a bot? Sure, it is programmed to spew certain things, and, like some bots, it may appear like it is actually ‘thinking’ before responding… But really, it is just a BOT, and, of course, it cannot read what it wrote!

Could be. Would be kinda fun to have an off-the-wall leftard true-believer sock over there… Just to see how far the lemmings will follow…

To be honest with you, when 1.0 went “all stupid all the time”, originally, I thought Schmuckles was just conducting an experiment, to see how many people were just normal people (who’d walk away as soon as shit got too deep for their liking) vs. how many were pathetic cult-following butt-suckers.

Well, it appears he wasn’t conducting an experiment, but damn if some very interesting observations were not made…

The study of the 1.0 phenomenon could be a welcome addition to the research on cults and on tendencies of some individual humans to readily surrender their individuality just to “belong” even if it is some blog created by someone or a group of someones who may not be whom they claim they are.

The kind of control people allow Schmuckles to have over their very thought and emotions shows me that these people are a bunch of weakling sycophants who would probably feel right at home in a dictatorship. In Stalinist Soviet Union, those would be the anonymous snitches denouncing their neighbors, coworkers, or even family members, just to have a spot in the sun and not get ‘eaten’ themselves.

Four of my Visigoths created a video project on Romeo & Juliet. It is brilliant. It includes a Downfall parody where Hitler is Prince Escalus ranting on how he wasn’t invited to Capulet’s party.

May be going to TX for 3 days, mid-June. Right now, doing some minor tuning on the Jeep to get it ready for the trip. It is a beautiful 86F day here and the top is off! Life is good.
