Stating the obvious – he’s just not that up to the job

by Speranza ( 66 Comments › )
Filed under Barack Obama, Tranzis at June 6th, 2010 - 9:16 am

Golly gee whiz who would’ve thought that a young man with a paper thin resume, virtually no experience in the private sector, no legislative accomplishments, protected and propped up by a sycophantic  media, a huge sense of entitlement combined with a messianic complex, a man who has a very poor image of America’s history and the role it has played on the world stage, does not believe in American exceptionalism, and who surrounded himself all his life with Marxists and neo-Socialists, an overbearing  sanctimonious sense that only his “way” is the right way  – would make a piss-poor president. No I could not see that coming.

by Michael Goodwin

His message is wrong. He’s not showing enough anger. He’s lost control of the narrative. He’s a victim of bad luck and big oil.

It’s excuse time in the fudge factory. President Obama is getting lots of cover and advice from his left-leaning media friends. Their ideas run the gamut from public relations to, well, public relations.

Beyond the irony of journalists urging more spin from a politician, the really remarkable fact is that none dare consider the possibility that Obama is simply not up to the job. It is a scary thought, but evidence of consistent failure is overwhelming.

The high point of his presidency came the day he took office. Since then, a majority of Americans has opposed virtually all his major policies and he has prevailed on several only because of large Democratic congressional advantages.

The problems are growing, but he’s not. If he were, we’d see green shoots of improvement.

Instead, the White House is going backwards at home and abroad and shows no ability to adjust. Like a cult, it interprets every reversal as proof of its righteousness and of others’ malignancy.

What started out as a whiff of rookie incompetence has become a suffocating odor. It’s hard to find a single area where Obama’s policies are a convincing success.

    76 years and forgetting…

D-Day was JUNE 6, 1944. 156,000 troops landed on the Normandy coast of France in the largest invasion force in history. Supreme Allied Commander General Dwight Eisenhower issued the order: “You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade…The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you…Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely…Let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.” President Franklin Roosevelt stated JUNE 6, 1944: “My fellow Americans: Last night, when I spoke with you about the fall of Rome, I knew at that moment that troops of the United States and our allies were crossing the Channel in another and greater operation…I ask you to join with me in prayer: Almighty God, Our sons, pride of our Nation, this day have set upon a mighty endeavor, a struggle to preserve our Republic, our religion, and our civilization…They will need Thy blessings…Some will never return. Embrace these, Father, and receive them, Thy heroic servants, into Thy kingdom.” FDR concluded: “Help us, Almighty God, to rededicate ourselves in renewed faith to Thee.”

I agree with this. This is the job he wants to accomplish and he’s doing it quite well. Micheal Goodwin and the rest of the normals in this country might very well be unable to see this point because it is so bizarre, so wrong, so outside the experience of most normals. If you look at things the way TFK just put them, then 0 is indeed accomplishing his goals beyond his wildest dreams. It’s difficult. It’s like a detective trying to “get inside the mind” of a serial killer in order to find and stop the murders. Normals can’t comprehend that someone would want to destroy / damage / adversely affect his own country. but he does. and he is.

’tis all true. they are dying at the rate of 1000 / day. in my family, only 1 remains of that generation and he’s in his 80s. i visited my uncle over Memorial Day Weekend and went to see the headstones of three of his brothers – my pops and 2 uncles. Riverside (CA) National Cemetary was covered in flags and there were quite a large number of people there. That was encouraging.

    Of some note:

When our family went to Galveston’s beaches, Aranas Pass beaches, Padre Island beaches in the 1950′s before one well was drilled in the Gulf of Mexico……

Tar Balls on the beaches, from “Mother Natures seepage in the Gulf.”

Some data says as much as 90,000 to 150,000 bbls, and one of the reasons the oil companies drilled in the Gulf they knew the oil was there.

I think zero was picked because he is ignorant, easily manipulated and wants to please and impress his handlers. zero is too stupid to be making the big calls. He reads what is put on the prompters. He can’t discuss it, or explain any of it. That is why he doesn’t have press conferences. He can’t handle the questions. He is no leader. He is a flop. When he goes off prompter he is a disaster. They chose the wrong puppet. He can’t even emote. He can’t relate to the pain of Americans. He cackled and laughed his way through an TV interview abt. how many people are out of work in this country. He is a psychopath. He is a dullard who has been told one too many times he is a genius. That chip on his shoulder is throbbing now because the fainters have disappeared. That’s what he thought being potus was all abt. Reading speeches, others wrote, that got him resounding applause. When he has to face real issues, he acts resentful and confused. His eyes darting around for a waffle.
Everyday he is office, he loses credibility and we gain momentum. Even though he hid everything abt. himself during the campaign, his total inability to handle the job is now showing. His commie agenda is obvious. His weakness, pettiness, nastiness, and downright meanness is showing. He is becoming strident, angry, bitchy.
He is a massive failure, I think his handlers are disappointed too. They picked the wrong empty suit.
They blew it with this idiot. We will kick him out and having wised up to these commie fckers, stop them for years to come.

What started out as a whiff of rookie incompetence has become a suffocating odor. It’s hard to find a single area where Obama’s policies are a convincing success.

Zero has pushed the Middle East to the brink of a massive war which has now ramped up to a situation where it is imminent.

Iran is offering to help break Israel’s blockade on Gaza. They are offering to provide an Iranian military escort for future Gaza Flotillas.

Iran Revolutionary Guards offer to escort Gaza-bound ships

Zero thought he could save the world by kicking Israel in the teeth and sucking up to America’s and Israel’s enemies.

As Caroline Glick pointed out recently, Zero has humiliated Egypt and Jordan. Why should they be at peace with Israel when it’s more advantageous to be Israel’s openly hostile enemies?

Zero the Blunderer thought he could make anything happen (“Yes, we can!”) but all he’s done is to wreck everything he touches.

  12. 12 | June 6, 2010 10:59 am

The solution for any of MAObama’s political woes is to double the effort at proclaiming the “truth” from the mountain tops. Doubtful they will ever realize that Americans hear the message loud and clear and are increasingly rejecting it.

And the Left insists that Bush was an idiot. At least he didn’t repeatedly do the same thing expecting different results.

Zero wanted to start giving speeches on Israel’s Prime Time TV to counter the horrid impression Israelis have of his policies.

He had planned to do this. He was going to tell Israelis about the benefits of peace (as if Israelis don’t know that it’s better NOT to have Israeli buses and restaurants blown up). He also wanted the Israelis to get to know him (by spending some of that famous The One wondrous appeal).

Zero was going to talk to the Israelis on TV but a few op-ed writers in Israel pointed out that Zero’s problem in Israel isn’t that they don’t know him well enough.

Zero’s problem with the Israeli people is that they know him too well.

We are entering a most dangerous time:

More of the U.S. public (particularly those with some power themselves and able to voice their concerns) each day are realizing that this man is at least incompetent if not outright malfeasant.

That his actions or inactions seem to inevitably lead to a problem getting worse.

That he is unable or unwilling to garner support and advice from those who ARE competent.

That he is unaware of or ignores his fault in these problems.

That his first impulse to a problem is to hide or obfuscate, next is to find a scapegoat to foist the blame onto and remove them (if it’s within his power) and last to verbalize a reluctant admission that the responsibility in the matter is his and does so in a matter that shows all that he is angry at being held responsible and does not actually think he’s at fault.

That this man is forcing this country down a path to disaster or oblivion.

That a larger and larger majority of U.S. voters are indicating that they will remove even incumbents from office in their aim at reversing/repealing/stopping his ineptitude from further damage to the country. (thus the Democrats will face the most reduction in numbers. However folks have shown that they will turn out Republicans too if they are too cozy and compliant with the current Regime)

All that and if the November elections brings the Republicans back in control of the House and/or the Senate, he and the current House and Senate leadership (do you trust Pelosi or Reid to stand up for this country?), as lame ducks may force through legislation that will effectively end this Republic and he will sign it knowing he will not have another chance to do so until 2012.

Remember his “uncle” who was so traumatized, don’t ask don’t tell and Shelley O with her supposed concern for families of deployed soldiers? His only interest in the military is how he can tie it into the victimhood narrative.Or slam our guys with Courageous Restraint medal fantasies and bogus charges of prisoner abuse. His disdain for all things patriotic is loud and clear. He is a danger to the defense of freedom.

Yea. Kos said the Israelis used too much force and could have avoided a violent confrontation. Huffbimbo pretty much blamed it on Bush.

Good grief. So the Greek gal who sounds like Eva Gabor on Green Acres has an opinion? Soon Chaz Johnson will be a guest on that show.

Speaking of D-Day, I feel like we are fighting in the underground and election day in November will be our day of liberation.
