Prince Charles points to Islam as a means to combat Global Warming

Prince Charles is a known admirer of Islam and there are even rumors he might have converted as well. He is a fanatical believer in the Global Warming lie and is calling for sacrifice. In the biggest convergence of Radical Progressivism and Islam since the Gaza Flotilla the Prince of Wales is now saying Islam offers solutions to fighting Climate Change!

Prince Charles yesterday urged the world to follow Islamic ‘spiritual principles’ in order to save the environment.

In a high-profile speech, the heir to the throne argued that man’s destruction of the world was contrary to the scriptures of all religions – but particularly that of the Islamic faith.

Snip..

Charles, who is a practising Christian, spoke in depth about his own study of the Qu’ran which, he said, tells its followers that there is ‘no separation between Man and Nature’  and says we must always live within Nature’s mean and limits

‘From what I know of the Qu’ran, again and again it describes the natural world as the handiwork of a unitary benevolent power,’ he said.

‘It very explicitly describes Nature as possessing an “intelligibility” and that there is no separation between Man and Nature, precisely because there is no separation between the natural world and God.

Read the rest: ‘Follow the Islamic way to save the world,’ Prince Charles urges environmentalists

Well Islam is good with population control. It reduces the numbers of non Muslim humans, so that will reduce carbon emissions! In all seriousness, this is yet another example of the Tranzi Progressives’ love of Islam.

Update: This photo from the article is priceless! clearly Prince Charles is not a great motivational speaker. Even the Muslim students are bored!

That is the point of the green movement. In France, many of the greens demand “décroissance” or “ungrowth” as a solution to man’s problems. They actually argue that it is in our best interests to return to a pre-industrial society. Is it surprising at all that a Monarch wants the rest of us to return to serfdom?

That is their real goal to regress society. hence their love of Islam!

  59. 59 | June 9, 2010 7:59 pm

    @ citizen_q:

There is actually a centuries old movement in France that has pushed people to “return to the earth.” Some suspect that Joan of Arc may have been involved in such a movement.

Most of these people are blithering idiots. I overheard a conversation years ago from a greeny at a post Japanese Restaurant in Soho London. The two guys beside of us were pretty easy to read; there was an older, rich guy trying to buy the love of the much more attractive, 20 year old guy opposite. The 20 year old talked about how depressing capitalism was, and how the rat race was inhumane, and how much he would just love to live in a society with no technology by the ocean in a shack. (Once again, I was in Soho where a modest restaurant bill for 2 can easily hit $100 without drinks.) After he was finished, he answered the 10th or 11th text message and then went on and on about how he could never part with his new phone.

As with Al Gore, the implications are hard to miss; they want the rest of us to take the bus so there is less traffic when they drive to work.

Hatred of the middle class is one of the core aspects of antisemitism. Jews—barred from the aristocracy, not being peasants—were the middle class during the Dark Ages and the Middle Ages, until the Reformation cracked the old feudal system wide open.

The peasants and poor hated the middle class because it was more free, more wealthy, and because their needs for the services provided by the middle class left them resentful. The aristocracy hated the middle class because they, too, needed the services that the middle class provided, and resented it—and because they feared being supplanted by non-noble “upstarts” who had been forced by necessity to learn to think instead of relying upon inherited privilege and force.

But they only want to be tourists in these places. I saw a girl like this in Morocco; she was Austrian but had lived all over Europe and worked for the EU in Brussels. She absolutely loved the “authenticity” and “simplicity” in Morocco until she had to go to the doctor to treat an infection. Suddenly, authenticity wasn’t as important as before.

Having actually lived in a third world country Northern coast of New Guinea at Lote near Vanimo close to the Indonesian border) for 1 1/2 years I have a wee bit of practical experience in the reality of that … shack on the beach.

Live is short cruel and nasty.
When 80% of kids do not make it to the age of 2.
When malaria and beri-beri and TB are endemic
When superstition condemns people to evil and violence
When there is 1 nurse and 1 doctor with 7 hospital beds for a population of 80,000.
When women are literally worn out with backbreaking work by the age of 25
When land, pigs are ahead of women and children in the value system
When there is virtually no legal system and ‘pay-back’ substitutes for all law

    Some sort of twisted ‘paradise’!

Margaret Mead (yet another delusional progressive anthropologist) has a LOT to answer for for foisting the image of the happy native onto an unsuspecting West.
More fool the dumb and ignorant progressives for wanting to believe this tosh!

Many people in the West envy the glorified version of third world countries that comes without living in those conditions. I have often used the same arguments with Europeans that want to brag about how having massive stretches of government mandated holiday help the economy; my response is that many in the third world are on permanent unemployment and it doesn’t seem to be treating them well at all. The scary part is that there are many in the West that espouse policies that would take us all to such conditions as quickly as possible. Personally, I don’t want to live in a cave in Afghanistan.

He said the current ‘division’ between Man and Nature had been caused not just by industrialisation, technological development and the relentless pursuit of economic growth, but also by our attitude to our relationship with Nature

Wait. I thought that early muslims invented everything from the automobile to the iPad. Plus, Muhammad forced all of his followers around the world to visit Mecca because their economy depended on the revenue from pilgrims. Further, muslims have no problem tapping into their fossil fuels. If this wasn’t propaganda, Prince Charles should have praised the Amish way of life as more environmentally responsible.

It’s a mix of ignorance , racism and plain stupidity and laziness on the part of the Euros. When you see women of 24 laden down with 40 pounds of chattels hanging onto a brace of children all under 5 with an additional 30 pounds of wood balanced on her head, trudging up a dusty path behind a guy who is carrying nothing more than a bow and half a dozen arrows you get the picture. Beatings of women are part of their daily life. Needless to say 30 % of all women suicide by chewing derris root. Some paradise! Yeah Right !!!!!

The problem is that they have been in the grip of a one-idea state since WW2. They have been given one version of every world event and depend on their governments to settle all problems. The thing that amazed me the most at first was how long childhood is extended here. Adulthood doesn’t really begin here until people are in their thirties. They have gotten accustomed to a life without responsibility. I know I sound like a broken record, but there are essentially two types of laws governing life here; there are things you must never do under any circumstances under penalty of law, and things you must always do also under penalty of law. Almost every action is governed by one of these two so people cease to think and become automatons.

Now, I am stuck in a position where I am not allowed to accept new contracts, but I am also forced to pay taxes on rates I earned when I first arrived. I have paid more taxes for the year 2010 (not counting an extortionate 19% value added tax) than I will make for the whole year, and we are just in June. I still have yet to get an acceptable answer as to how paying more taxes than I literally earn is going to be good for the economy.

He calls himself ‘snork’ on the Stalker Blog. It’s not outing him to say that, because as snork he claimed credit for a Pajamas Media article about smart grids that was published under his real name. The article basically ridiculed the concept of smart grids; Ludwig promptly and effectively refuted it of course.

Europe is great for a visit or for a study abroad experience; the sad fact of the matter is that Americans largely don’t know anything about the impact of socialist policies on the lives of ordinary Europeans. A wonderful book that is somewhat outdated is Olaf Gersemann’s “Cowboy Capitalism.” It can sometimes be a bit dry, but it contrasts the wealth of ordinary Americans with their counterparts in France, Germany, and Italy. One little titbit was eye-opening. Soon, the difference in wealth between the average American and the average German will be as big as the difference between West Germany and East Germany when the wall came down. *Ouch!*

I wrote a piece at PJM about a month ago. Somewhere in the comments, somebody named “anonymous” said very tersely “this has been debunked at LGF” or something like that. Lo links, no zip. Nobody here has found any such “debunking”, even though there was an exchange at DoD where this was specifically requested. It may or may not exist, but nobody here has any idea where it may be found. Nobody, for that matter, even knows what specific point(s) is in contention.

There was also another squabble over AGW, half on DoD and half on his diary, which just confirmed my suspicion that the medium is unsuitable. Among other things.

  186. 186 | June 9, 2010 10:48 pm

    @ Overlook:

A German university professor, one time convert to Islam, presently an apostate, said something similar. It was his contention that Moho was not an historical figure at all, but created after the fact. One point he made was that Mo’s flight from Mecca to Medina was supposed to equal the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.

At one time, there was apparently a Moslem zionist movement, but I don’t really know much about it. Many Moslems see the entire modern world as a refutation of Islam; that is why they are striving to remake the world in their image. It is also why they hate nations that have obviously prospered, like the US and Israel. They can’t understand why they are bringing up the rear of civilization.
