Obscene, abusive, or annoying remarks may be deleted or moved to spam for admin review, but the fact that particular comments remain on the site in no way constitutes an endorsement of their content by any other commenter or the admins of this Blogmocracy.

another soccer player taking a dive.

Ronnie Lott cut off his finger to finish a game. If the world cup would expunge the pussy drama queens , imagine how awesome it would be.

we need a bit more of the USA in the world cup. Our guys don’t flop like a little girl

It’s a contact sport just like basketball. My dad taught me early how to draw fouls, and it’s no different in soccer… except that in the World Cup there are thousands of cameras on you and you look like a boob.

Drawing fouls, or at least attempting to, is part of the game. A good faker can get a star player thrown off the field, especially when the star player already has a few yellow cards against him.

But that is the point…I did read that, the minute you posted it, I lurk quite a bit. I laughed all the way through it because all it will do is give them power, do you not see that? You, and those that wander over there to see what is being discussed, are the one perpetuating it, giving them fodder. Is that blog on your list of favorites on your desktop, one click access? Ask yourself why…

yes, I know the history of most of them, I was around for many of the melt-downs, threats, and stupidity. Let it go, it will go away, the only time I think about them is when you (and others) bring them up becuase you (or others) have been reading what they are posting and reporting it here.

Sorry, I find it odd, and extremely counter-productive.

OMG, Drudge has everybody noticing Obama is a jerk tonight:

“House Democrats are lashing out at the White House, venting long-suppressed anger over what they see as President Obama’s lukewarm efforts to help them win reelection — and accusing administration officials of undermining the party’s chances of retaining the majority in November’s midterm elections.

In recent weeks, a widespread belief has taken hold among Democratic House members that they have dutifully gone along with the White House on politically risky issues — including the stimulus plan, the health-care overhaul and climate change — without seeing much, if anything, in return. Many of them are angry that Obama has actively campaigned for Democratic Senate candidates but has done fewer events for House members.”

    Church boycotts Arizona meetings

Presbyterians will refuse to hold national meetings in Arizona and any states that adopt strict immigration laws such as Arizona’s new Senate Bill 1070.

The vote was 420-205 in the General Assembly of the Louisville-based Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), meeting this week in Minneapolis.

The church voted to “refrain from holding national meetings at hotels in those states where travel by immigrant Presbyterians or Presbyterians of color or Hispanic ancestry might subject them to harassment due to legislation similar to Arizona Law SB 1070/HB2162.”

“Our work will always be to stand with those who are the most marginalized,” said Rick Ufford-Chase of New York, a former moderator of the denomination who for years worked with immigrants in Tucson, Ariz.

The Rev. Trina Zelle of Arizona agreed, urging delegates to reject an alternate proposal to study the issue further. “For many Presbyterians, the immigration crisis is not an option to be studied but a daily reality to be lived and endured,” she said.

And if weird weather matches my understanding of what we expect to see as expressing the climate changes produced by global warming, I think it is my duty to say so, and I hope more climate scientists find ways to say so as well. (Yes, I know it really is “trickier” for y’all.)

This is the kind of post I need to keep my level of understanding at a decent level, so I can play my role.

Not every worksite is looking for somebody with my skill set, and I need to apply at sites where there is an RV park within commuting distance. Sites that are inaccessable to a motorhome, or where accomodations would cost more than the job pays, obviously wouldn’t work.

I already spent a whole day Wednesday applying for help desk/call center, warehouse, and retail work in SC. Places are taking apps but, across the board, they all say that they are going to take awhile before they decide to hire anybody.

Churches that espouse “liberation theology” may eventually end up running afoul of IRS regs and losing their tax exemptions, as well as losing those members who are there for the salvation of their souls rather than their political agendas.

We talked to our pastor about this. He said that the Orthodox Church condemns “liberation theology” and gave us some history about how that movement got started, along with some answers we can give to people to explain what we believe and why “liberation theology”
is not acceptable to us. He emphasized that the Church takes a stand against abortion and other wrongdoing, but it does not and cannot get directly involved in political battles.

this is as stupid as these churches trying to boycott Israel. ok, that’s way stupider. but, along the same lines.
so, i wonder if the presbyterian church will boycott mexico? their immigration laws are far harsher than ours.
No kidding. That church is going more towards politic’s than gospel.
And being pc. That is not what the Gospel is about and certainly not for the Government to take care of everyone. Charity is to come oneself….not take from others to give. They have is all screwed up.

Our pastor said that any system that does not allow freedom is harmful because it stops people from being moral agents; in other words, it denies the opportunity to make the choice to do good. A system that tries to achieve perfection denies the fact that this is a fallen world and that corruption is inevitable; the upshot is another corrupt system with a different group of people in power.

Christian charity is based entirely on VOLUNTARY giving. Nothing in the Bible justifies the government taking from the rich and giving to the poor.

Empowering the government to level the socioeconomic status of everyone means that the government will take from people who have resources and use it, not to help the poor, but to enrich itself and entrench itself in power. This will end up reducing everyone to misery.

From what I have learned from history, even the apparatchiki don’t end up being happy.

These people thought they represented Charles point of view and were very shocked when they found that they didn’t. Which makes it even more funny when you see the occasional idiot trying to resurrect that bollocks.

I can tell you what I mean. My theory is that people are pack animals. If you run too far in front of the pack, then people feel abandoned, and, possibly don’t like to feel like they aren’t winners.
I need other people, however, I’m mostly in competition with myself. Not guy brain wiring either. Even people who care for you are not all that likely to applaud your success due to their own ego involvement. I don’t know what Doriangray meant though.

Nope, but on the other hand their are plenty of hardware and tool stores and lot’s of burger and taco shops…

…and an auto parts store on every corner with a used CD section.

Yup, and some of us even entertain angles unaware, and believe me I have the bruises to prove it…

    @ yenta-fada:

Stay away from those outlet malls. They are frauds. Frauds, I tell you! I went to one once, looking for an ordinary duplex outlet. (ivory, if you must know) They didn’t have any! All they had there were sweaters, and purses, and shoes, and stuff like that.

    False advertising; it’s totally shameful.

Duplex? There’s no residential real estate at the mall. :-)

That’s probably a good thing. It would be discomfiting to watch people slowly sidle away from you when you gave your address as “153 Mega Outlet Mall.”

That might explain why his pants are always on fire. :p

Good morning you all. Drive by. Just want to say how hilarious it is to watch these brain dead liberals twist themselves into knots still defending Obama still going down with the ship and by God they are going down. The bell has been rung. Knowing Nov.2 is the first of their downfall but wishing they could freaking be tarred and feathered.

    Sounds Great!

I hope you have a wonderful time! I don’t have kids, but I know they grow-up very fast. Enjoy every moment.

Me, we are starting into the home-stretch of moving into our new house. At this point I don’t know which is worse, the move or keeping my wife on an even keel. We have some issues with the grade of the house, which is documented by our own independent inspector and noted on our initial walk-through, the builder will be working on to resolve, that she is fixating on.

I don’t drink, but am seriously considering taking it up at least temporarily. /
