Young Jack Kevorkian eventually chose a career that blended both worlds. Things might have turned out differently were he given the opportunity to talk it out on an Overnight Open Thread.

Jack Kevorkian was a very successful serial killer. He got to boast of his kills, take credit for them, and be lauded for it in certain circles. Yes, he got some jail time, but not the Life without possibility of Parole or Death Penalty a Charles Manson or Ted Bundy scored.

Evening everyone. The whole monster mosque thing is just sick and sickening. That ignoramus Odumbo absolutely, specifically and unabashedly endorsed it at the Ramadan party before his furious backpedal and re-re-pedal.

Pushing off for Maine tomorrow morning. Got this nice little spot on a few acres on Penobscott Bat for a week. I’m glad to get away from the city. There’s a demonstration at GZ this Sunday, too bad I’ll miss it.

CONSTRUCTION WORKERS, FIREFIGHTERS, VETERANS, 9/11 FAMILIES AND FIRST RESPONDERS, AND RESIDENTS OF THE GROUND ZERO NEIGHBORHOOD UNITING FOR A MAJOR PROTEST AT THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE SITE

TELL PRESIDENT OBAMA, HAMAS AND IMAM RAUF:

NO GROUND ZERO MEGA-MOSQUE AND NO SHARIAH LAW AND JIHAD MOSQUES IN AMERICA!

WHO: The Coalition to Honor Ground Zero and the Blue Collar Corner; The Bravest; 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America; Women United International; Stop Shariah Now; ACT! For America and ACT! Manhattan; Human Rights Coalition Against Radical Islam; Congress on Racial Equality, Proclaim Justice to the Nations, Center for Security Policy, Dr. Herbert London of the Hudson Institute, and many other organizations and leaders

    WHEN: Sunday, August 22nd at 11:00 a.m.

WHERE: PARK PLACE BETWEEN CHURCH AND WEST BROADWAY, MANHATTAN

WHY: To push back against those attempting to impose Shariah Islam, stealth jihad or terror on our nation. We will not be moved!

    @ F:
This is just so scary even for it being something Barry wants (from wiki):

Advocacy for prohibiting gubernatorial appointment to the Senate
    [edit] 2008–2009 Senate vacancies

With the commencement of the Obama administration in 2009, four sitting Democratic Senators left the Senate for executive branch positions: Barack Obama (President), Joe Biden (Vice President), Hillary Rodham Clinton (Secretary of State), and Ken Salazar (Secretary of the Interior). Controversies developed about the successor appointments made by Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and New York Governor David Paterson. This created interest in abolishing Senate appointment by the governor.[16][17]

Currently, 46 of the 50 states permit appointment by the governor; only Connecticut, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Wisconsin rely completely on special election. In eight other states, the governor may fill a vacancy by appointment, but a special election is to be held as soon as possible. In the remaining 38 states, the governor may fill a vacancy by appointment, and the appointed Senator will serve until a replacement is chosen by election at the time of the next general election.

The state of Massachusetts has seen considerable recent activity on both sides of this issue. Massachusetts enacted a law requiring a special election in 2004; the Democratic legislature wanted to prevent Republican Governor Mitt Romney from appointing a Republican replacement if Democratic Senator John Kerry had won the 2004 presidential election. After the death of Senator Ted Kennedy in 2009, and with Kennedy’s encouragement before his death, the state changed its law to allow the governor to appoint an interim Senator.[18] Massachusetts still required a special election to be held; a “caretaker” appointment of Paul Kirk by Governor Deval Patrick to succeed Kennedy[18] was followed by a January 2010 special election in which Republican Scott Brown won.

It has also been noted that since the passage of the Seventeenth Amendment, nearly one quarter of all Senators seated (182) first arrived in the Senate by appointment.[19][20]
    [edit] Proposed amendment

In 2009, Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin and Representative David Dreier of California proposed an amendment to remove the power of governors to appoint Senators.[21][22][23] Senators John McCain and Dick Durbin became co-sponsors, as did Representative John Conyers.[16] On March 11, 2009, a joint hearing was held between the Senate and House subcommittees on the Constitution regarding S.J. Res. 7 and H.J. Res. 21.[24] On August 6, 2009, the Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution held a separate hearing.[25]

Yeah, Chicago politics used to pervert the Constitution.

    *SPIT*

The Muslim blah blah blah group is whining because this documentary came out on Ramadan when Muslims won’t get to see it. Like that is any part of the point. Ramadan lasts a month. They’ll probably miss “Little Mosque on the Prairie” too. I wonder who has been canned at the BBC during the last purge. Perhaps this is a policy change? Their funding has been cut back. I hope this is a trend. Probably the BBC lost their audience or something. They are completely government funded though.

Alas he is !He’s standing for the Federal seat of Kingsford-Smith in Sydney. That electorate is so Labor orientated that Garrett could walk down Maroubra Bay Road drop in at the local kindergarten, machine gun all the infants ….AND STILL GET ELECTED!

I used to be in his electorate but moved to Richmond in the far north of the state of New South Wales. It’s a marginal seat with a VERY strong loyal lad standing for the National Party. ( a conservative country party) and that are part of Tony Abbott’s coalition.

At least my vote won’t be wasted this time. I voted early last week at the Aussie consulate here in Auckland NZ!

Possum, you gave it up, right?

I took Chantix. Got it free because I am an illegal alien and we get free stuff.

I took it and did things like waiting for the coffee to brew before lighting up, on a 15min car ride I did not light up.

small things, waiting that extra few minutes to light one.

You take it and smoke at the same time. Eventually the smokes don’t do anything for you and you just stop.

Ignore the instructions. Take chantix and smoke like normal. Eventually if you put off when you light one often enough you find you have quit. No cold turkey.

Yes it does give you weird (horny) dreams and odd stuff. I quit Chantix a week after I quit smoking. You are supposed to take it at least 6 months. I did 5 weeks total.

It helps if you want to quit.

It does not cure you. Every time I burn trash or grass clippings or even smoke ribs I go through hell.

It is slightly trippy. It is supposed to get to the places that nicotine gets to and because it gets there first it blocks the places, and eventually you find yourself smoking because of habit not need.

I wanted to at least try it for a couple of years, then my state increased the tax on a pack by a buck and the way they passed it was to give the money to a quit program. next year they banned it totally. So I joined the free program.

just try it. the dose ramps up and they tell you to quit after the first week of taking it. Ignore that, don’t be pressured.

However, do think about why you reach for a smoke every time you do when you start taking it. If you can just do whatever triggered that reach first and then light one. (triggers, starting the coffee… wait till it finishes. bathroom, um go in there, dump and then light one. Drive to work… wait till you get there. etc.. delay the smoke.)

Also when you quit smoking you gain 40lbs, you are short of breath all the time and all the hot chicks you meet smell funny because they smoke.

‘Ban this far-Right rally’: Police move to halt English Defence League march in Bradford over riot fears

A chief constable is seeking emergency powers to ban the far-Right English Defence League from marching through a city’s Muslim neighbourhood, amid fears it could provoke widespread violence.
Up to 10,000 EDL supporters are expected to descend on Bradford over the bank holiday weekend in what is claimed will be a rally against Islamic extremism.
But residents fear the provocative march could cause a repeat of the 2001 race riots.

A Mega-Mosque Grows in Murfreesboro – and elsewhere

A massive mosque building project has been given the green light in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, despite public concerns about how the project is being funded from such a small Muslim community. And a board director for the mosque who was suspended last month for advocating for Hamas on his MySpace page is back after being “cleared” by board. And one hand washes the other.

And there’s more in Erick Stakelbeck’s report:

    watch the vid….wow!

    OT for an open thread

Saudi judge ‘asks hospital to paralyse man as punishment’

A Saudi judge has asked several hospitals to paralyse a man by damaging his spinal cord as punishment after he was convicted of attacking another man, the brother of the victim said on Thursday.

Abdul-Aziz al-Mutairi, 22, was left paralysed and subsequently lost a foot after a fight more than two years ago.

He asked a judge in north-western Tabuk province to impose an equivalent punishment on his attacker, his brother Khaled al-Mutairi told The Associated Press.

That old eye for an eye thing. I have been informed by a muslim missionary that “Islam is the perfect way of life”. He was most upset when I chose to remain unconverted.

    More From the Telegraph,

US assures Israel that Iran is one year from making a nuclear bomb

The New York Times cited White House officials saying they believed the assessment had minimised prospects of a pre-emptive Israeli strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities within the next year.

I doubt if the Israelis feel very reassured.

Troubling shit. We will not be spared our part in this war simply because of where we live. The invader is here. In Knoxville, it is becoming common to see Mohammedan women in the gang colors (niqab) out at Wally World and the like. You didn’t see that ten yearz ago. 9-11 supercharged the Mohammedan world to further their conquest of the west. The evidence of this is overwhelming. Remember this when they speak of “Moderate” Mohammedans. They may not all have danced in the streets on 9-11, but they took heart from it and see it as a Mohammedan victory over us.
