As usual, some libturds seem to think freedom of speech only applies if they like what is being said, or in this case, what is being sung. And it’s actually a great song! Click here to listen to it.

Free speech? Obama song gets coach fired

America… the land of the free and the home of the brave. At least that’s what we hear when we sing the National Anthem. Wait… are we still allowed to sing that song and express our patriotism? I know we are still the home of the brave, but it’s become clearer that we are no longer the land of the free. Just ask “former” middle school football coach Bryan Glover, who wrote a song about Barack Obama and sent it to people on his e-mail list. Where did this expression of free speech land him? The unemployment line, that’s where.

As reported by OneNewsNow.com, Glover, a 26-year-old Christian, co-wrote the song “When You’re Holding a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail.” The song “takes a dig at the current administration and what he believes to be the wrong moves for the U.S.” According to the report, Glover sent the song to everyone in his personal e-mail list, “which included parents from Grassland Middle School, where he coached football.”

That’s when the trouble began. Within 90 minutes of sending out the song, Glover heard from his head coach that parents were asking that Glover be fired.

“When the coach first called me, he said his phone was blown up with parents saying that I was being politically incorrect, quote, unquote, if you will, and that some of them were even reading into racial overtones in the song,” Glover explains.

This is just crazy. Listen to the song for yourself and see if there is ANY reference to race in it at all. Why do people have to knee-jerk and claim racism just because someone doesn’t like Obama? It’s because they are so enamored with him and his socialist programs that they think anyone who doesn’t like him must be a racist. Click on the link above to read the whole article.

As the article points out, some libs claimed the song was “racist”. Bullshit. I’ll tell you why they thought it was racist. First of all, to a lot of leftist imbeciles, anyone who disagrees with anything Obungler does is automatically labeled a racist.

But the main reason, in my opinion, it’s called “racist” is because the guy singing it has a southern accent and is slamming Obama and his failed policies. Here’s the lyrics. You tell me how they’re the least bit racist-

When You’re Holding a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail!

He was a little man, just turned three
Took the present from his daddy’s hand
A genuine toy hammer
He started beatin’ to beat the band

He hit the floors and the wall, broke a lamp in the hall,
Started swinging at the puppy’s tail
When you’re holding a hammer
Everything looks like a nail

He was the president, number 44
He says “Trust me, I’m here to help you
I have got some big big plans
You’re gonna love what I’m gonna do”

There’s no problem too big or small
He thinks he’s got an answer that just can’t fail
When you’re holding a hammer
Everything looks like a nail

He thinks big thoughts and he dreams big dreams
But it’s another man’s sweat that pays for those schemes
He don’t care how the little people feel
‘Cause savin’ the world is a big freakin’ deal

So he does his business behind closed doors
And pretends that the world is just beggin’ for more
When the stuff hits the fan he says “Don’t look at me
If you got trouble, blame 43”

Now Congress is saving Wall Street
While they’re watching Main Street fall
They got health care all figured out
But it don’t seem to care much at all

As soon as they save this planet
They’ll put the fire out in hell
When you’re holding a hammer
Everything looks like a nail

They think big thoughts and they dream big dreams
But it’s another man’s sweat that pays for those schemes
They don’t care how the little people feel
‘Cause savin’ the world is a big freakin’ deal

They do their business behind closed doors
And pretend that the world is just beggin’ for more
When the stuff hits the fan they say “Don’t look at me
If you got trouble, blame 43”

There’ll be a party come this November
Where we’re gonna set things straight
All good people gonna gather ‘round
Gonna show what made this country great
We’ll run off the schemers and back-room dealers
So the Red, White and Blue will prevail

When we’re holding the hammer
When we’re holding the hammer
When we’re holding the hammer
Every one of them looks like a nail

They fired him simply because he refused to conform. He was being a Counter-Revolutionary, and the Reds didn’t like it.

Rather ironic that a dissenting teacher would be shipped off to a re-education camp if there were any.

Racists look at somethng like that and it is like a screen for their projections. If they said something like that they would mean it in a racial/racist manner. That doesn’t mean that the person who authored the words in question had a racist meaning. That doesn’t mean that a reasonable person would take them to be racist. It is really a condemnation of the racist who cries “Raaaaacist!”, if you think about it. We know what they really mean.

Nothing wrong with statements like this if you’re a liberal and of course no need to get the facts straight:

He said that the U.S. was the world’s largest producer of cigarettes; in fact, China, India and Brazil now manufacture more cigarettes than the United States.

He stated that North Carolina is responsible for most of U.S. tobacco production, but the USDA estimates that the state contributes only 37% of national production. North Carolina does, however, produce more tobacco than any other state, so technically no single state would be responsible for most of the U.S. tobacco production.

He stated that “the Israeli-Zionist movement” assassinated the British prime minister in Palestine. The closest individual fitting this description is Lord Moyne, Minister Resident for the Middle East, who was assassinated by Lehi in 1944, a few years before Israel came into existence. The incident would be more accurately described as “Jewish extremists assassinated the British minister responsible for Palestine”.

He claimed that the FBI had an office in the World Trade Center, which was not the case. However, the CIA, the Department of Defense and other U.S. government agencies did have offices there, and former FBI agent John P. O’Neill was the head of security at the Center.

He claimed a recent Damadola airstrike (missile attack) against Al Qaeda in Pakistan resulted in the deaths of 75 people, none of whom were members of Al Qaeda. The official death count was 18, although some claim as many as 25 were killed, possibly including some who were known Al Qaeda members.

    Snip

On March 10, 2006, the Cherry Creek School District announced that it would reinstate Bennish; he returned to Overland the following Monday. Cherry Creek Schools Superintendent Monte Moses said that “Bennish doesn’t deserve to be praised, nor does he deserve to be fired” and that “Jay Bennish has promise as a teacher, but his practice and deportment need growth and refinement.”

I imagine Mohammedans would object to me teaching their children that their pedophile prophet was an insane murderer, not a man touched by God. OTOH, maybe I should try my hand at teaching children. Mold them in the way they should go. The next generation is the future of the Nation…

You nailed it. Teachers should stay out as far as possible of political activism. What they do in their private life, no one cares as long as it is legal.

Teachers are trained today to be political activists. Indoctrination is their main purpose.

Juss ass Nancy Pelosi. Congress needs to investigate the people dissenting the GZ mosque.

Pelosi is not bright, but she is trying to put a chill on dissent.
She claimed that the Tea Partiers reminded her of Berkley rioters in the late 60′s & early 70′s.
Those were Lefists & so far Tea Party Grannies have not been violent.

    Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 41,842 people, (Williamson County’s population is 193,595). 16,128 households, and 11,225 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,393.3 people per square mile (538.0/km2). There were 17,296 housing units at an average density of 575.9/sq mi (222.4/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 84.53% Caucasian, 10.35% Black, 4.84% Hispanic/Latino, 1.61% Asian, 0.24% Native American, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 2.17% from other races, and 1.06% from two or more races.

There were 16,128 households out of which 38.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.2% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.4% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.09.

In the city the population was spread out with 27.9% under the age of 18, 7.5% from 18 to 24, 38.1% from 25 to 44, 19.2% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 93.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.2 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $65,506, and the median income for a family was $69,431 (these figures had risen to $74,914 and $87,125 respectively as of a 2007 estimate[6]). Males had a median income of $50,226 versus $31,531 for females. The per capita income for the city was $32,160. About 5.1% of families and 6.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 8.0% of those under age 18 and 12.0% of those age 65 or over.

    Good afternoon, y’all.

Coaching is “extra duty/extra pay.” I don’t know about this man’s district, but mine in PA states the ED/EP is NOT protected by tenure, is not automatically renewed, and is awarded at the discretion of the Board or its agent, the principal. They don’t have to give a reason.

This situation is unfair, but there’s unless the contract spells out ED/EP differently, there’s nothing the union could do.

Now if he loses his teaching position, that’s a different story.

I can just imagine trying to buy a used car from them:

    “How much for this car?”

    “$5,000″

    “I’ll give you $3,500″

    “$7,000″

    “How about $4,000?”

    “$9,000″

    “Never mind…”

    “Allahu akbar!”

And then the car explodes, killing everyone.

    @ NoThreat2U:

    The whole thing is absurd.

Basically, the Palestinian position has been, “Agree to everything we want, and then we’ll come and talk to you.”

At which point, they’ll just come up with a new list of demands.

I wish we had a president who would just come out and say, “Clearly, the Palestinians have no interest in a negotiated settlement, so we’re going to back the Israelis in whatever they choose to do from this point on.”
