Seized Somali media network ‘must serve Islam’

Somali militants who have seized a radio and TV station say it will now broadcast only Islamic messages.

Hassan Dahir Aweys, who leads the Hizbul Islam group, said he wanted the broadcasts to serve Islam.

Iran court sentences journalist charged with ‘warring against God’ to 6 years

A judge from Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Iran on Sept. 18 sentenced Shiva Nazar Ahari, a journalist arrested following the 2009 presidential election, to six years in prison. Ahari was sentenced to three-and-half-years for warring against God, known in Islamic law as moharebeh, two years for conspiracy to commit a crime and six months for propaganda against the government. In addition to the jail sentence, Ahari was also ordered to pay a $400 fine or face 74 lashes. Ahari’s conviction on the charge of moharebeh could have resulted in the death penalty. Her lawyer has stated that he will appeal the sentence.

PIPES: ‘Rushdie Rules’ reach Florida Obama endorses privileged status for Islam

The Obama administration has joined this ignominious list. Its pressure on Mr. Jones further eroded freedom of speech about Islam and implicitly established Islam’s privileged status in the United States, whereby Muslims may insult others but not be insulted. This moves the country toward dhimmitude, a condition whereby non-Muslims acknowledge the superiority of Islam. Finally, Mr. Obama, in effect, enforced Islamic law, a precedent that could lead to other forms of compulsory Shariah compliance.

Poll: Narrow majority unfavorable toward Islam

A narrow majority of Americans hold a generally unfavorable opinion of Islam, and 45 per cent feel Islam is a religion that encourages violence, according to a new national Angus Reid Poll.

The poll found that just 24 percent of Americans agree that Islam “is a peaceful religion” with 30 percent unsure.

By contrast, only one American in 10 believes that either Christianity or Judaism “encourages violence”: 80 percent agree that Christianity “is a peaceful religion” with 59 percent holding the same view of Judaism.

Only 45%? The rest aren’t paying attention.

Obama to tell Iran during UN: door open to engagement

WASHINGTON, Sept 20 (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama will use his visit to the United Nations General Assembly later this week to emphasize to Iran that the “door is open” to them for international engagement, the White House said on Monday.

White House deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters during a telephone briefing that in order for Iran to walk through that door, it would have to demonstrate the peaceful intent of its nuclear program

    Bwahahahahah

“The poll found that just 24 percent of Americans agree that Islam “is a peaceful religion” with 30 percent unsure.”

So, 54% of Americans ain´t got it. Obama got what, 52%? Does that mean the remaining 2% are morons voting Republican?

I got math skills, check it out: 2% of 48% means that .96% of all Republicans are idiots, while the Dems score a healthy 100.

Or if we assume that all 54% are democrats, it tells us that 103,8% of Democrats are idiots.

    I rest my case.

This has always been the problem throughout history. Look at it on a small scale. Around my neighborhood, the local authroities won’t put a stop sign up at an intersection we know is dangerous until a bad accident happens. History is full of times when people saw the danger coming but did nothing either because they didn’t believe it or didn’t want to. Not wanting to is probably the major reason people don’t fight against the muzzies. In this country we have it easy. They never would believe that a group of people could be that bad or believe in such evil. Not until it smacks them in the face will they pay attention.

I don’t know what it will take. 9-11 should have taught everyone everything they needed to know about Isalm. But if you felt 9-11 was a “teachable” moment and went out and investigated it more, how could you come away believing Islam really is the Religion of Peace™? The stonings, lashings, beheadings, hangings, litteral definistrations, torture, murder, bombings, assassinations, and general mayhem and death that accompany Islam everywhere are just flukes? A tiny minority that happens to have worldwide scope and influence? A complacent and silent “Moderate” Mohammedan majority that permits these acts to be done in the name of Islam without a whimper? None of that means anything? That is the very definition of “willing suspension of disbelief”. That is all well and good when you are reading the Dunwich Horror, but when you are reading the propoganda press releases of a murderous cult it is probably not advisable.

Sen. Lindsey Graham Steers Clear of Criticizing Murkowski Write-In Campaign; Says He Supports Miller
‘How can I say it’s not honorable?’ South Carolina Republican Asks.

    By Dan Joseph

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) (AP photo)

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) yesterday steered clear of criticizing his colleague Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) for mounting a write-in campaign for the U.S. Senate after losing the Republican Senate primary to Tea Party-backed Joe Miller, but said he supports Miller in the general election.

‘How can I say it’s not honorable?” the senior senator from South Carolina told CNSNews.com. “The only person who ever won as a write-in candidate was (the late Sen.) Strom Thurmond (R-S.C.).”

He might want to review his history. IIRC, Thurmond won as a writein because of racism. That isn’t something I’d call honorable. The cunt Murkowski stands no chance of winning, though. She just intends to make sure that the Republicans don’t win. The RINOs are not your friends, people. This election should have convinced you of that. Miss Lindsey needs to be on our long range targeting system. I don’t know if he is up for re-election in 2012, but if he id defeating him should be a primary goal.

How is Judaism not considered peaceful? (59% think its peaceful). 41% is enough (look at the senate fill-buster rules). Probably b/c Israelis practice self-defense. For years Judaism / Jews are the ones on the receiving end of pogroms and discrimination,

I don’t get this statistic. Does it mean 20% of the public are closet anti-semites?

I disagree. Here is an example: A moderate muslim thinks the beheading of infidels is ok sometimes, but not always.

  26. 26 | September 21, 2010 9:32 am

In WWII, the Japanese and German people paid a heavy price for the actions of the military of each of their countries. In the end, civilians were being killed by both sides. War is a horrible thing, which is why countries, or groups, should consider very carefully the price that they, and their people, may be forced to pay.

In our current war, Muslims, by and large, are paying no price, even though a significant portion of their bretheren are the perpetrators of unspeakable atrocities. In the case of the Japanese and Germans, the people paid such a heavy price that they swore off what caused their people so much pain, joined the civilized community, and have become quite prosperous.

Again, war is a horrible thing. On 9/11, we experienced our Pearl Harbor and lost TWICE as many people than in 1941. The difference is that 9/11 was launched on a civilian target, not a military base, and every one of the casualties were civilian. Every one of the failed or thwarted attacks since that day have also targeted civilians.

How are the American people to be expected NOT to cast a jaundiced eye toward Islam, as a whole? Islam is at the heart of this war, and it’s a war we neither wanted nor started. Abroad, Muslims continue to kill our soldiers who are attempting to give these people a better life, and at home, Muslims are seemingly unrepentant and demand that we look beyond the religion that is the source of more worldwide strife than we have seen in 70 years.

Instead of being apologetic and embarrassed regarding the actions of their “extremists”, Muslims hold our plurality and sense of tolerance over our heads like the Sword of Damocles, ready to call us racists and “Islamophobes”.

While presidents love to say that “we are not at war with Islam”, it is a certainty that Islam is at war with us and to deny that fact is pure folly.

I’m tired of outreach and understanding toward Muslims. I know more about Islam than I can possibly stand. I am tired of the roles of victim and perpetrator being reversed and constantly being admonished to be tolerant toward the most intolerant people in the history of man.

Until Islam is forced to pay a price, it will never benefit from introspection and will continue along the same murderous path that it has heretofore traveled.

    @ legacyweapon:

It means that 20% of the public are too stupid to breed. Where do you think that hard-core Democrat vote comes from? These people believe that Israel is the greatest threat to peace on the planet (worse than the bad old USA), and Israel is the Jewish state. Ergo Jews are violent. Never mind that it is the Mohammedans who are almost exclusively suicide bombers in all the history of the world. It is those wicked Jews that keep the world from being a garden where they can spank their manque to hard-core porn to their heart’s content.

    Election 2010: Alaska Senate
Alaska Senate: Miller (R) Holds Double-Digit Lead Over McAdams (D), Murkowski
    Tuesday, September 21, 2010 Email to a Friend ShareThis.Advertisement
Republican Joe Miller attracts 42% of the vote in the first Rasmussen Reports poll of the Alaska Senate race since GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski announced her write-in campaign to try to keep her job.

The telephone survey of Likely Voters in Alaska shows Murkowski picking up 27% of the vote and Democrat Scott McAdams earning 25%. One percent (1%) say they’d prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

This race now moves from Leans GOP to Solid GOP in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings.

Fuckin’ cunt. If the GOP had any balls they’d have stripped her of all her trappings of power and kicked her out of the Party by now. There’s no way shoe should go into the Mad Duck with any more power than an independant that sits on no committees would have. He3ll, even kick her out of her office. Make her sit in the hall

Airman killed in 1968 to get MoH today
Chief Master Sgt. Richard Etchberger single-handedly held off enemy force
    The Associated Press
    Posted : Tuesday Sep 21, 2010 6:04:05 EDT
WASHINGTON — An airman killed in Laos in 1968 will be honored Tuesday with the nation’s highest military award for valor.

President Barack Obama was to award the Medal of Honor to Chief Master Sgt. Richard Etchberger, whose sons planned to attend the White House ceremony.

Etchberger, a native of Hamburg, Pa., was an electronics expert with no formal combat training when he single-handedly held off an enemy force while evacuating wounded comrades. He had gotten three of the wounded into rescue slings and his helicopter had taken off when ground fire came through the floor and mortally wounded him.

The story was kept under wraps for decades because the Laos mission was secret.

The citation calls his action one of “immeasurable courage.”

The fact is that immediately following 9/11, and in the ensuing nine years, there has been no Islamophobia on display in this country. We are an amazingly tolerant country, though for nine years we have had to endure unfounded accusations of racism by Muslims who insist upon pushing our buttons and testing the boundries.

I think that there are a lot of people who are starting to reach their limits as to how much more of this shit they’re going to take.

Prior to 9/11, how many women did you see on the street with headscarves? Doesn’t it seem that it has dramatically increased in the last nine years? It sure seems that way to me. It’s a way of getting in our face and I’m sick of these assholes getting in my face.

The GZ mosque is a another way of getting in our face and this practice will continue to escalate until people reach their limit and push back!

Yes, absolutely. The Mohammedans have become more visible and more demanding since 9-11. That doesn’t jive with the “Islamophobia” bullshit. First off, it wouldn’t be a phobia. Fear of people who want to kill you is not unfounded or unwarrented. Second it isn’t fear. It is loathing, but we haven’t acted on that loathing. Yet.
