The Dark Nought

This Dark Knot, aka “The Cat in the Bat,” aka “Catman Deux,” aka “Die Katezefledermaus,” would be a totally worthless superhero, spending most of his time licking and scratching himself, sleeping, taking short sleep breaks just to eat and occasionally chasing shadows.

Meanwhile, here’s your chance to hock up  furballs and snarky innuendo about Catman and Robin on this Overnight Open Thread.

I can only recall seeing a run forced in once in a Major League game (although I’ve seen it a few times in the Minors).

And they just did it twice in a row.

    That’s just sad.

Aren’t those counted as error’s in the major’s???

    Of some note:

We need Allen West to get a meeting with this guy Meek.

To me, not bowing down to Obama, Clinton, and Christ shows him to be one brave person and of some integrity.

He needs to have a chat with Mark Levin and Allen West both.

A ball as opposed to a strike is not considered an error. It’s just poor pitching when runs are scored by them.

I don’t think anything a pitcher does in the act of making a pitch can be scored as an error.

Only if they make a fielding or throwing error, like any other position.

Well, yeah I did. I was hoping to see some kind of ‘plans’ to build one, but I got the gist on how to construct one of my own.

The homemade tele I bought had a mount but it was iron and way to heavy to lug around so I chucked it. The Box is the right way to go.

That’s how this one was, too.

German Shepherd. Deathly afraid of wind, unfortunately.

My ex was at school for about 4 hours, and came home to find that he’d torn the blinds and curtains down from the sliding door, then tore out an entire panel of drywall next to it, up to the stud.

He was apparently trying to get outside.

And he tried to bite through the deadbolt knob on the front door, too. It still has his teeth marks on it.

Speaking of cats, Cat Ballou was a great movie. Yea, I know, Jane Fonda, but I ignore actors and actresses when they talk politics and still watch leftist commie performers because if I didn’t my entertainment options would be highly curtailed. Anyway this scene earned Lee Marvin an Oscar. The horse was recognized by Marvin in his acceptance speech BTW.

He wasn’t trying to get out for that. He was convinced that when the weather was bad, the safest place to be was outside (apparently German Shepherds don’t have very good reasoning skills).

Another time, he actually was outside when it was really windy. He forced his way through the gate and out of the yard (tearing the latch off in the process).

Our first cat had an area rug it used exclusively for scratching. When we moved, we took the rug with us and put it in the bedroom. The new cat 15 years later scratched everything in sight, no matter what we did. He’s been declawed for 3 or 4 years now and he still scratches, it just doesn’t do any damage. OTOH, it doesn’t urinate on the carpet like the dog did before she was banished to be an outdoor dog. We were told she was housetrained, they didn’t say that meant she waited until you let her into the house.

repetition like that is normal…you listen to the same songs (on a larger time scale)
Oh he is totally guilty of that as well, he heard me listening the Joan Jett’s “I love Rock and Roll” last week and he went around singing it for a full week…

He’s paying close attention to you. If you’d have been singing Cindy Lauper, he’d have picked up on it, too. You’re in charge of him for a reason. Now take him out and show him how to dig a hole to find treasure, use that hole to build a fire, find some green twigs to spear hot dogs. Don’t pass up the opportunity to teach and enjoy the company of a little kid.

My ex found him in the park next to our property.

Sounds like the dog had panic disorder. He loses it when the weather changes.

I used to have a cat who was afraid of thunderstorms. He’d try to hide, either in the closet or in a corner next to the refrigerator, whenever it stormed.

    @ mjazz:
Yep. You could also unplug the turntable, set down the tone arm and manually rotate it backwards to buff down the scratch burrs. Or tape a nickel onto the top of the tone arm.

Leia hides in the basement during thunderstorms. Also around the 4th of July.

But she doesn’t destroy the house.

The German Shepherd jumped into bed with us once.

Trust me, you don’t want a 75 lb dog jumping into your bed at 3am when you’re sound asleep…

    @ doriangrey:
The missus has a Technics J3 programmable. You can program the song selection as long as there are gaps between songs. I still have a Pioneer CD player that divvys up the songs for 45, 50, 60 and 90 minute analog cassette tape dubs, and divides them for best fit per side. It was awesome… but I no longer have a cassette player that doesn’t eat the tapes.

While this is local, and not of much interest to anyone outside Louisville, the Republican candidate for mayor is ahead by 7 points.

Top o’ da mornin’ to ya! It’s a shame about that cat, but some things are unavoidable. Years ago, I ran over a family dog, right in front of the entire family. I was going under the speed limit and the poor bastard just ran out in front of my car. It wasn’t my fault, there was nothing I could do, but to this day, I still feel bad about it.

I think there is in some parts. I am sure that the left wing news media up here will be either crowing about the Dems win, or crying over their loss.

/actually we don’t have ANY right wing news channels up here….

A clear indication of where Dem loyalties really lie:

Clinton Asked Democrat to Quit Florida Senate Race

Former President Bill Clinton tried to persuade Florida Democratic Rep. Kendrick Meek to drop out of his U.S. Senate race and support Gov. Charlie Crist’s independent candidacy in hopes of thwarting a victory by Republican Marco Rubio.

Oh, and I might add that Meeks is black.
