Boehner needs to grow a spine

by Rodan ( 117 Comments › )
Filed under Elections 2010, Fascism, Progressives, Republican Party at December 13th, 2010 - 8:30 am

No sooner do the Republicans win an election that they go back to their old ways. Riding the Tea Party fueled anger over the Progressive movement and their iron grip on power, the GOP promised that this time they would stick to their guns. Already they are appointing the same Progressive Republicans to committees. In short like the Bourbons of France, they have forgotten nothing and learned nothing.

Speaker elect John Boehner (R-Oh) is complaining that Obama is mean to him. Rather than man up and treat Obama like how he’s treated, he complains. This is reminiscent of back in 1995 when during the trip to the funeral of Israeli PM Rabin, Newt Gingrich complained that Clinton ignored him and made him sit in the back of the plane. This is history repeating itself and a bad omen for the next 2 years for the Republican House.

John Boehner thinks President Barack Obama is engaging, smart and brilliant but also remains smarted by the president accusing him of taking taxpayers hostage to secure a tax break for the rich.

In an interview with Leslie Stahl of “60 Minutes” for broadcast Sunday night on CBS, Boehner said Obama showed him “disrespect” by calling him a hostage-taker.

“Excuse me, Mr. President I thought the election was over,” Boehner said, according to a transcript obtained by POLITICO. “You know, you get a lot of that heated rhetoric during an election. But now it’s time to govern.”
Read the rest:  John Boehner: Obama disrespectful to me

I was never a fan of John Boehner. He is your typical  good old boy go along to get along Republican. I was hoping Eric Cantor, who demolished Barack Hussein Obama, would challenge him for the Republican House leadership. However on election night Boehner cried and thus inoculated himself to a challenge. Now he’s complaining about Obama not respecting him. My advice to John and his clownish partner, Senate minority leader Sen. McConnell (R-Ky), man up. Stop complaining about how Progressive treat you. They view you as an enemy to be defeated, not someone to have a disagreement with. Politics is war and the Republican elite need to see it that way.

John Boehner and Mitch McConnell need to go.

The Republicans never miss an oppertunity to disappoint, do they. They are called the STUPID Party for a well-deserved reason…

  2. 2 | December 13, 2010 8:39 am

Politics is War. War to the Knife, Knife to the Hilt. No Mercy.

That is the only way to play with Progressives. They eat, sleep, and breathe that. That is why Obama calls on Hispanics to attack their “race enemies”, and attacks people as “class enemies”, etc. Those are the ground rules of how the fighting is conducted in this Cold Civil War that we are in. I am tired of Republicans surrendering the High Ground in the name of being collegial.

I will confess I was hopeful about the Republicans after how well they did in November. I’ve been growing less so, though, as I watch them go back to the bad old standard play book. ::sigh::

My advise advice :) to John and his clownish partner Senate minority leader Sen. McConnell (R-Ky), man up.

Arrrgh, McConnell is my pet peeve. I voted for this somebitch (and have for some time). He’s a fucking weasel and is the epitome of everything that’s wrong with Senators.

Back in November, ’08, he publically gave Bush a swift kick in the ass on his way out which, for me, was the last straw. You just don’t fucking do this to your party’s president!

Do read the link. He threw his own president under the bus in order to suck up to the incoming Obama administration. He’s an outrage.

If the Republican Leadership had peopel reading conservative blogs, they’d understand that they are hanging by a thread. They have no real credibility to lose, only our faint hope that they will have learned from the past few years. That already looks like it was a foolish hope.

    @ mawskrat:

Take a pic and send it through Blogmocracy. M will see that it gets to me. I may be able to identify it., may not. Knives come in every shape imaginable. As for its being illegal, they would mean illegal to carry, most likely unless it is a switchblade. Most knives are legal to possess in most jurisdictions. However, knife laws are even more fucked up than gun laws, with every little jurisdiction conceivably having its own regulations.

We’d be better offif they took half the year as a vacation on the tax-payer’s dime. The less they are in Washington DC, the less they can fuck up. Neither Party is really competant at governance. Neither Party has the kind of small-government principles we need to get back to a reasonable level of government at the Federal Level. If the people in California want the State to wipe their asses, fine, just don’t expect the Rest of the States to bail you out when you go bankrupt. The Federal Government is for War and Interstates, and not much else. We need a cohesive plan for border security, but under the Obama Administration that plan is to let illegals in as much as they want and whine we need more gun control when the inevitible drug violence flares up. That’s useful…

I agree. They want to appear nice and civil while zero and the commie cabal are ruthlessly crushing America. They need to quit crying and get up to speed on how to combat these dangerous traitors.

The habitual crying is so fcking strange. Hells bells, he could be on Broadway in an Irish play the way he cries on cue. It is not normal for the tears to be rolling down his face so often. It does not inspire confidence.

The problem as I see it is that we have a political class who shows up every two years or so and puts on a “good show” for the folks back home and then flies back to DC or the state capitol or drives to city hall and does whatever they want.

We, the sleepy electorate are beginning to re-engage again — especially now that some of us actually are seeing the consequences of our choices.

But I cannot delude myself. When you are engrained with the idea that everybody has a job to do and to butt out and let the “experts handle it” you get complacent.

This is a process. As far as I can tell this complacency has been going on since the end of the Civil War and really accelerated after WWI & WWII (what the late Dr. Weber calls the 2nd Thirty Years War).
So if it has been going on for that long it will take a while to get it turned around.

But I kinda feel like this little place on the internet is a fine start:)

There is a rule of thumb, when you pull out of the Rennisance Center
in downtown Detroit, run all red lights to get to the Lodge Freeway.
If you get a flat tire, ride the rim to Southfield.

Man those English, they had real power, they made the Spanish kill Apaches in the Southwest just by blame in History books 500 years later. The greed, the blood lust, the lust for gold and silver had nothing to do with it. The islamic conquest ideas well learned had nothting to do with it. No way the Spanish and the Church were to blame for the head chopping, rape, food bruning, etal that went on for 400 years. Must have been the Apache caused it all to fall on their heads due to not inventing gun powder like the ones in China did for the Spanish or not knowing of the Church’s teaching via telapathey 1/2 way around the world.

Just a dumb bunch of pot smoking, heavy drinking dullards, influenced by the Aztecs down in Mexico, ya they needed the teaching of the Spanish from the old world. Way better.
