Weekend HELL BLIZZARD!!!!, or near miss DCA to BOS?

I am so hoping for winds gusting over 60 mph in Foxboro Sunday evening while snow falls at an inch an hour, but the Yurpian Community model is a near miss, 2 inches at Plymouth, flurries at the game. The GFS and the UK Met Office want to see the Packers play in snow.

If Tom Brady can complete 20 yard plus passes in 60 mph gusts, than, than, I might have to give that long haired pretty boy some cred as a QB.

Inmate claims fictitious ‘Festivus’ religious holiday to score better foodDecember 14, 2010 | 11:20 am
An Orange County jail inmate caused a stir this year by successfully claiming the fictitious holiday Festivus, made famous on the television show “Seinfeld,” as part of his religious beliefs to score better meals.

Malcolm Alarmo King, 38, enjoyed “a high protein no salami diet 3 times per day for ‘Festivism’” according to a court order by Orange County Superior Court Judge Derek G. Johnson.

Given all of the vacant lots in Detroit there isn’t much of a chance anyone is building anything next door to anything else. (But that’s not really the subject).

Here someone was offended by a banner in school that said this:

    Our Heavenly Father.

Grant us each day the desire to do our best.
To grow mentally and morally as well as physically.
To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers.
To be honest with ourselves as well as with others.
Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win.
Teach us the value of true friendship.
Help us always to conduct ourselves so as to bring credit to Cranston High School West.

    Amen.

I guess that Heavenly Father and Amen is establishing a religion/

That got mentioned at our company Christmas Party. People were not amused. I keep saying that I think a backlash is coming. I could be wrong, but a backlash is certainly in order. The country may not survive this. The Northeast and Left Coast think they can dictate how the rest of the country lives, and that just ain’t so.

People have to be batshit insane to get pissed off at something like this. Normal people don’t mind. It was, I admit, a little weird to hear our (possibly lapsed) Muslim prof wish everyone a Merry Christmas after our last class with him last week. But it’s NORMAL! That’s how NORMAL people behave. There is a big, official, country-wide holiday, part of our culture as Americans, you personally may or may not celebrate it, but wishing a happy one to people who do is a decent, polite thing to do! So he sincerely wished everyone a Merry Christmas, and not-so-sincerely good luck on the finals (in his class, luck has nothing to do with it, you have to KNOW the stuff!). So, to recap: a foreigner, who (possibly) practices a, let’s say, “different” religion, is perfectly cool with wishing people a Merry Christmas. Yet, libtards, who grew up in this country, and were spoiled rotten all their lives with expensive Christmas presents, bitch about it? WTF…

Indeed! And I love hearing “Merry Christmas” instead of the more generic greeting! I may not be a believer, but it is a lovely holiday, and I even sometimes go to Christmas Mass at the beautiful cathedral downtown, or attend a Christmas Liturgy at the local Orthodox church. Philadelphia at the Giants, a little over a foot total in the Meadowlands per the 18Z GFS, 2 to 3 inches of that during the game.

I know, if the game was at the Linc, where they built holding cells and have a judge on duty on game days to book people in, there’d be a lot more snowballs thrown. Jets fans might throw snowballs. Giants fans, I don’t know.

7 or 8 inches in Philly, where the fans add batteries to make the snowballs more interesting, but the Iggles are on the road.

Like I mentioned before, the Yurpian Community is a near miss on this storm, don’t get too excited yet.

Yup, it’s that time of year again, the time when the PC police crawl out of the cesspool and demand that everything associated with the season be banned and that those who promote such things be locked up, shot, hung, drawn and quartered, or sent to re-education camps.

Let me make my position perfectly clear. I’m an atheist. Period. And at this time of year, I greet people with “Merry Christmas !” I put up a Christmas tree. Atheists love a snowy Christmas. Puts them in the holiday spirit, even if they blow off Christmas Mass. Golly, I remember the December 24th 2004 Christmas Eve Snow Miracle, the sidewalks and streets were wet, but flakes were in the air, my car and palm trees got dusted. My wife wouldn’t allow me to wake up our 2 year old to take pix in the snow.

Please forgive the drive by. I thought you would like to know.

German-US military history was made earlier this year when the German Armed Forces awarded 14 American soldiers one of the German military’s highest honors for valor, the Gold Cross of Honor of the German Armed Forces, for risking their lives in the rescue of wounded German soldiers in northern Afghanistan. It was the first time non-Germans had ever received the award. Some of the US soldiers will now be honored by the US Army in a ceremony on December 13 in Katterbach, Germany.

The crew members of a helicopter MedEvac unit came to the aid of Bundeswehr soldiers who had been ambushed by more than 200 Taliban fighters while on patrol north of Kunduz on April 2. With US Apache helicopters providing defense, US Black Hawk helicopters made multiple trips to evacuate 11 critically wounded German soldiers from the battle zone. Three of the German soldiers later died of their injuries

It was the first time non-Germans had ever received the award.

Please tell everyone you know. Not that U.S. soldiers are heroes. We already know that and we don’t neet anyone to validate that. But that, regardless of their public pronouncements, other countries know it also. And that they are in the fight, too.

    Please tell people…….

    Past quitting time.

About elite education. University of Texas after the Navy. State school, sure, but a good football team. Except this year. And 1989-1994 when I was a student.

There is zero Constitutional authority for the US government to help anyone go to college, but at the minimum, I say, limit subsidized student loans/Pell Grants to the mean tuition and living expenses of the various state U’s across America. Nobody should be getting subsidized loans off my tax dollars for a $30,000 a year tuition private school.

BTW, if Uncle Sugar stopped subsidizing it, I bet tuition at the Ivy League schools would drop…

    from Martins BBQ site

Genuine barbecue cooks in either a metal roaster or a cinderblock pit, both heated with smoldering embers at about 180-220 degrees. The lower temperature is necessary for the roasting effect of the meat, which takes 12-24 hours, depending on the type and size.

Eeeeewwwwwww Although I have been told the face meat is good. I would probably eat it off a plate if I didn’t know which part of the animal it came from. Funny we are discussing this, Andrew Zimmern’s Bizarre Foods is on behind me. He is in Texas right now,
