The Rec Room Library

Well, ain’t this a surprise. I show up in the Rec Room to make sure everything’s stocked and cleaned up for tonight’s post-radio show, and I find this picture in the suggestion box with the cryptic message, “Men’s Toilet. Do it.”

I dunno… seems a little over-the-top to me, but I guess we could save on toilet paper this way.  Think about it, and we’ll bring it up for a vote on The Overnight Open Thread.

    Congressman resigns amid Craigslist scandal
Gawker says Rep. Lee of New York sent shirtless image in response to dating ad

WASHINGTON — A married congressman from upstate New York resigned suddenly Wednesday after a scandal erupted over emails and a shirtless photo supposedly sent to a woman in response to a Craigslist dating ad.

Republican Christopher Lee had just begun his second term representing New York’s 26th District. Just hours after the scandal broke on Gawker.com, Lee announced that he was quitting Congress, and a clerk read his letter of resignation on the House floor

Oh man. I woke up about 4AM this morning having belched some nasty. Went to the kitchen to get a glass of milk to kill the burn, almost gagged because the milk was sour. So I dumped it out. Grabbed another one. Same. Ugh.

and i walk the course and often carry my clubs (or use a hand cart). at teh club i belong to its all up and down, so the exercise factor is there. the doc sez its good for me, the wife likes the results, so its my gym as well.

Wait until you get ahold of one of those little cartons of “shelf stable” milk that’s gone bad. No way to tell until you take a sip through the little straw, short of cutting it open.

Wait until you get ahold of one of those little cartons of “shelf stable” milk that’s gone bad. No way to tell until you take a sip through the little straw, short of cutting it open.
That stuff is indescribably nasty when it goes bad.
    GAAAAAKKKK!!!!!

I had that experience at Khobar Towers, while we were getting ready to come back after Desert Storm. I haven’t touched that stuff since then, in fact.

We were pretty sure the contractors were trying to kill us, anyway. Shortly after we got there, several people got sick. They determined that it was because the contractors who ran the mess halls were using unfiltered tap water to make the kool-aid (and the ice). Everyone stopped drinking it, but people still got sick.

They finally determined that it was from the salad, since they used the same water to wash the lettuce.

Oh, I didn’t know that. And we can end that discussion right now if you would prefer it. It is just funny, I see the difference between a son and a daughter. They are like polar opposites. It is really something to see. I hope your sister has a good man. And remember Puti will always look for a man who is like her Daddy. I firmly believe that the Daddy sets the standard.

Good Morning, Blogmocracy! Today is another glorious day in the reign of Emperor Barack Hussein I, Pasha of the United States nad Defender of the Faith Ummah! There are 635 Days until the 2012 Presidential Election! In the headlines today, the GOP is theoretically trying to find space for “Deep” cuts in the Federal Budget. Deep is relative, of course. Barack Hussein released his plan for “deep” cuts the other day and they amounted to 0.0% if you round them up to the nearest tenth of a percent. The sacrifice that our Federal employees will have to sustain is immense! Of course, with one in ten Americans on funemployment, the tax base isn’t what it was during the awful Bush years. Thank Nothing (we wouldn’t want to offend anyone) that they are over! With a little luck, we’ll never have it as bad as we did under Bush again! Oh, wait…
