Obama’s 2012 Re-Election strategy

by Rodan ( 175 Comments › )

The regime and electoral machine of Barack Hussein Obama is gearing up for re-election. As we saw in his budget speech, Obama will use demagogic language. The theme will be a us vs. them campaign with Obama as the champion of the oppressed. With rising oil prices, Obama demagogues the oil companies and indirectly blamed Bush. That will be another feature of their battle plan, they will pin our current problems on Bush. It will be  one of the most ruthless campaigns in American history!

Jim Messina, who is running Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign, told supporters in an Internet video released yesterday that they will have to “scratch and claw” to get the U.S. president re-elected.

“We have to act like an insurgent campaign that wakes up every single day trying to get every single vote we can,” Messina said in the video, which was described as a “sneak peek at 2012 strategy.”

Messina, who earlier this year resigned his position as deputy White House chief of staff to manage the campaign, laid out tactics that he said had worked in 2008, including expanding the electorate to register more voters than Republicans. He said campaign workers should reconnect with past supporters through social media sites, along with using more traditional methods such as calling voters on the telephone and knocking on their doors.

Read the rest: Messina Gives ‘Sneak Peek’ at Obama’s 2012 Re-Election Strategy

The Obama team has a formidable war machine at it’s disposal. They have the media, entertainment and big corporations like GE at their disposal. Obama’s machine will show Republicans no mercy. They will attack and smear. Luckily for them, the GOP, as usual, will not fight. The establishment Republicans would rather attack one of their own than touch Obama.

If the GOP runs a candidate in the BushI/Dole/Bush II/McCain mold, they will lose. The gloves need to be taken off with Obama. He will use 3rd World Liberation rhetoric. Obama will demagogue his opponent with a  compliant press. This is political war and I hope the GOP is up to the task. Seeing the Republican Party’s recent and past history, I have my doubts they have what it takes to fight the Obama machine.

add that to a healthy crop of weak kneed RINOS and Barry is the odds on favorite to win reelection, even if he’s the most vulnerable presidential candidate in recent history

The Republicans need a woman like Michelle Bachmann to get the nomination. The men fight like pussies or worse, like John McCain – actually campaign FOR the other side. Only a woman will be able to get away with calling a spade a spade (and not tolerate “spade” being a hate crime). Call Obama a racist, he is. Call Obama a Marxist, he is. Call him a liar, he is. Do not relent. Go after his secrecy. Go after the people he has always surrounded himself with. Go after his allies in the media. Go negative 24/7. Take the Republican party with you if you lose. They don’t deserve a seat at the next election if they won’t fight for their standard bearer. Give up the goddam abortion thing on the platform. It’s a wedge issue. Just say you’re pro-choice. Have an abortion. Own a gun. Smoke. Drive an SUV. It’s all your choice baby. Don’t let the left have anything. Hell, agree with what they say, yeah man – I believe in global warming, but Obama is still a racist, hiding his ENTIRE past, his administration is filled with tax cheats, criminals and liars.

    @ common_sense:

ACtually, there’s one Republican male who is willing to fight: Donald Trump. Look at how the GOP establishment has gone after him. Funny, they never go after Obama like that.

The GOP elites are scared of Obama.

    all losers to Obama

    Pawlenty–zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Newt : kind of a scumbag, and the left will demonize him to the point he will be on the defensive and can’t win

    Romney– did healthcare. mormon

I think Trump could win, if he doesn’t peak too soon. I worry he will go down like Ross Perot. After a while the schtick gets old

but the guy has experience in the business world, and he is of the mindset that America can and will KICK SOME ASSES, and he’s always been proud of his country unlike a certain wookie and her man in mom jeans

I like that Donald Trump is saying what the real problems are. However, I can’t help thinking that Trump is just pulling another Ross Perot to get Obama re-elected. I can’t think of any specific examples off the top of my head, but hasn’t Trump shown left-leaning political sympathies in the past?

    @ Escovado:

Trump’s only Left leaning views were Universal Healthcare and a tax increase on the Rich. This was in 2000. He voted for McCain against Obama in 2008. However, he’s now in our camp and he has no respect for Obama.

He also called Islam violent and claims the Koran is violent. That wins me over!

As for Left leaning views: See Romney, Pawlenty, Huckabee, Daniels and Gingrich.

Scratch and claw! It would appear they have concerns for the ones electability. I agree and have said it many times, we must stop attacking our own, give up on one issue litmus tests and stop cowering before the MSM everytime they ask a stupid question. If the Rev Graham can state the obvious regarding Barry’s BC then why the hell can’t the Republicans? I agree we must attack him on all levels, of his failed policies, especially his destruction of the US natural resource development.

…and insist that the debates be moderated by FOX personell. Call the incumbent on his fear of Fox. Call the left entirely on it’s iraational fear of them. When asked a confrontational question by a MSM interviewer, attack them personally for asking such a question. Sarah Palin did herself a huge disservice(I personally like her, for the record) by not bitch-slapping Katie Couric down for the way she treated her with not just disrepect, but outright contempt. Do not get drawn into long elaborate answers. Short, factual answers and stick to them. Any request at elaboration in an attempt to trip the candidate should be met forcefully with an attack on the asker for uneven-handedness in that “their” candidate does not get the same treatment. Goddam it folks, it’s not that hard. He’s got a terrible set of misery indices he has caused. Harp on them. Every answer to a debate question should include a swipe at his and his people’s integrity. Every question about global warming, for example should be met with, it’s terrible what we’ve done to our environment, but the President’s choices to help, like RADICAL Van Jones – have been such bad choices that they have worsened the situation and the earth is worse off for it. Throw it all back in their faces for cripes sake. And compare him to Carter ! Last of all, act like you are the likely winner and the public will have faith in you and vote for you. Be a wimp and you’ll lose.

Enormous statue of powerful pharaoh unearthed
    Published: 04.26.11, 18:58 / Israel News

Archaeologists unearthed one of the largest statues found to date of a powerful ancient Egyptian pharaoh at his mortuary temple in the southern city of Luxor, the country’s antiquities authority announced Tuesday.

The 42-feet tall statue of Amenhotep III was one of a pair that flanked the northern entrance to the grand funerary temple on the west bank of the Nile that is currently the focus of a major excavation. (AP)

Gary Johnson, former Gov of NM, is running. He’s fairly unknown outside of NM, but is very popular here and has a good track record for his two terms. He does have some baggage that will cause problems, but I’m sure he will answer critique of it with conviction and be believable. Only when it’s been cut with meth (which really doesn’t happen very often), otherwise jaw clenching and teeth grinding is absolutely not something associated with cocaine usage.

Signs of inside job in Afghan jailbreak
    Published: 04.26.11, 20:31 / Israel News

There are signs that a huge Afghan prison break in which hundreds of Taliban inmates escaped through a kilometre-long tunnel was an inside job, the office of President Hamid Karzai said Tuesday.

Separately, international military officials in Afghanistan announced that they had killed a Saudi described as an “Al-Qaeda senior leader” who was their second most-wanted insurgent in the country. (AFP

    m wrote:

So what does cause that Dorian?

It’s a ephedrine side affect. Ephedrine is the main component of meth, which is why meth freaks clench their jaws and grind their teeth. The whole point behind cutting coke it profit, so you don’t cut it with anything expensive.

Once upon a time people used to cut coke with livestock grade ephedrine, but that was way back in the late 70′s and early 80′s before the fed’s made it nearly impossible to obtain livestock grade ephedrine because of it’s use in the manufacture of meth.

Back then you used to be able to buy a 40 pound bag of livestock grade ephedrine for around 200 bucks. Ephedrine has the same physical characteristics as coke, same crystal structure, same light shift to the left on the crystals, same melting temp range, same color and same taste. It made it the perfect cut because of it’s extremely low price.

Other cutting agents like isotol or mannitol also have very similar chemical structure, but their cost is extremely high, only the amateurs ever used them.

There is also the simple fact that a lot of people will admit to using coke but not meth and will claim to be using coke when they are in fact using meth. Somehow coke is still seen socially as not being as bad as meth. For most of the country admitting to using meth is the same as admitting to using heroin. But somehow admitting to using coke is seen as little more than admitting to smoking pot.

Both meth and coke physically look identical, that’s why I asked. People who deal coke, deal coke for money, they are not what you would call honest or principled people. They are not people whose integrity can be trusted. An insane number of coke dealers switched from dealing coke to dealing meth over profit margins.

Coke and meth sell on the street for nearly identical prices. 1 dollar for every 1/100th of a gram. Their bulk prices on the other hand are totally different. In bulk, meth cost about 1/10th of coke. In other words, sell the exact same amount of meth as coke and make ten times as much money as on the coke.

The criminal charges are exactly the same, so it makes sense why so many coke dealers either sold both or switched to meth. A lot of coke dealers sold meth also because it’s more addictive than coke, which means addicts of meth are better more reliable customers.

I always laugh to myself when casual users of coke refer to their dealers as only selling coke, as if their coke dealer is some high society connoisseur of fine wines. They are not, they are low life scum who will sell anyone anything if they think they wont get arrested or killed for doing so.

Having once been a professional musician who toured all over the US I have met enough coke/meth dealers to know the personality type. Just because they tell you something doesn’t mean what they are telling you is even remotely close to the truth. It’s nearly always what they think you will believe or want to hear.

Ya, that would be a big ten no. Smoking meth is an offshoot of smoking coke/crack/free basing. Most people do not smoke meth just like most people do not smoke coke, they do lines just like people who do coke.

What you are smelling when you “smell” coke isn’t the coke, it’s the regent used to clean and process it. Coke and meth are both colorless and orderless in crystal form. They dont get their smell from their cut’s either, like I said, they get their smell from what they are “washed” with.

Their is a huge difference in their smells though, coke is washed in a ether derivative,(in other words alcohol soluble), while meth is washed in an acetone derivative.

When in it’s vaporous form coke smells kind of sweet, in a very overpowering kind of way, while meth has a tendency to smell like a synthetic rubber (really ad burning rubber or plastic) compound when in vapor form.

That’s actually kind of odd, because unless the individual using cocaine is smoking crack becoming as addicted as you describe is not very common. Very few people can afford the amount required to produce an addiction like that.

That is why it is still considered almost socially acceptable to use or admit to using coke. It’s also the reason crack was invented, because just doing lines of coke was so expensive most people could never afford to become seriously addicted.

Using coke, because of it’s cost is still pretty much like going out to a fancy Rap club and ordering Kristol, you might do it once a month with your friends, but you aint doing it every day unless you got a shit load of money.

A half gram of coke is going to cost you $50.00 or more. It will get 4 people high for about 2 hours, 2 people high for about 3 hours or one person high for about 5 hours.

Cocaine is a stimulant. eons ago the Inca used to chew the leaves to help them have the stamina to run miles and miles carrying messages. You can grind your teeth just fine on 92% (aka pure) coke just like meth. Not everyone grinds but it’s common enough that you can tell those predisposed to it, like Tom Arnold as mentioned earlier. In True Lies he was really going at it. You could not help but notice. If you want a cheap way to tell how pure it is, get a vile filled with CLorox. If you really want to test it get a thermometer and you can burn it to see what temp it pops at but Clorox is a good way to tell how much it is cut with. By the way, no one here mentioned mannitol as a cutting agent. When I invented cocaine trafficking in the 1970′s we used that (channeling Al Gore on the “invention” nonsense).

Only Trump will call OBama on his BS. Everyone else is under prepared or over scared.

@ 171 common_sense: Ah mannitol reminds of college days and high times magazine.

The coca leaf is a cultural positive in the Andes. It’s only perverse Americans that turn it into an evil by misusing it. This is another large drug war failure by narrow minded feds who have no real concerns for damage done in other countries. And have no real effect on rich kids snorting coke. Drug War FEDS= FAIL, one of the biggest failures in the history of mankind.

@ doriangrey: Cocaine was one of the safe drugs when I was growing up. Haven’t keep up with its abuse. But it did kill two of my friends in High School. One had a heart attach while high, another drowned in 3 inches of water while stoned.

My solution for the drug war is too legalize pot and make it uncool. Then put some drug dealers to death in the US like they do in Singapore. Our judges love to set examples to deter crime. This is about the best example one can set. Although at 17, I was immune to any thoughts of mortality or failure. Once I got the first serious girlfriend I started shaping up.
