Maybe it is maybe it isn’t. Trump sure called him out though. Notice when Trump went for the other records Obama pulled that out of his ass?

Obama’s college transcripts and records of any possible scholarships as a foreign student that they need to dig up next.

Kudos for Trump for finally getting Obama to cough up what he said was in the Hawaii records!

It’s Trump vs Obama already and it’s still over 18 months until the 2012 election!

My suspicious nature still wants to know why it says “African” under father’s race. In 1961, race would have been listed as “Negro.” It could very well be a clerical error, but it’s just an odd mistake to make.

They were talking about it in the lunch room, and were saying how the Conservatives started all this. I advised them this was not true; it was in fact Democrat supporters of Hillary Clinton in June/July 2008 that siezed upon a statement by Obama’s paternal grandfather that she had witnesses his birth in Kenya. Conservatives thought it an amusing sideshow but that was about. After he got the nomination, sure, people said “so can you show us that birth certificate” and instead he produced the COLB. Didn’t start with us, but the fact that he’s spent upwards of a million bucks to avoid producing it was odd to say the least.

Someone else said that if it was any other President, they would never have asked about it. Again, I had to advise them that the MEDIA asked John McCain to produce his birth certificate when questions about his birthplace in the Canal Zone arose. He produced it two days later.

They really have a problem with facts.

Of course, I’m such a little stinker that if someone that appeared to be spoiling for a fight took the position that Obama was born in the U.S., I’d argue the birther viewpoint. And if someone else argued the birth certificate issue, I’d say of course he’s natural born.

Like I said, I’ve always found it a delightful debating topic. As far as I’m concerned, hit him hard on the issues. The GOP should be readying spots right now with Obama’s “I’m fine with $5 a gallon gasoline” juxtaposed with shots of roadside gas signs. Get him on the issues!!

I’m willing to bet that this isn’t the end of the controversy. It’s only going to get worse as this adds to the polarization of the Country. It settles nothing in the minds of the true believers and the fight will go on.

Issues like the truth have little value in today’s political debate. The only thing that counts anymore is how much shit you can sling.

If they weren’t going to use “Negro” they almost certainly would have used “Black” as the race of the father.

It’s interesting that his mother appeared to have signed the purported long-form certificate “Ann Dunham Obama”, since few women at the time took a married name like that. That’s a very modern style of name, back then she would ordinarily have called herself “Stanley Ann Obama”. Note how “Stanley” was added atop the main signature as an afterthought.

The “long form” PDF doesn’t have any kind of official seal or stamp. Does Hawaii not use them anymore? My California birth certificate certainly has one. And, of course, it’s a PDF, not a real document that can be inspected. It’s arguably proof of nothing, since I’m sure the voting authorities around here wouldn’t accept a PDF as proof I am a US citizen.
