Rep. Allen West on National Security, Islamic Infiltration, US Constitution

Allen West: First Principles for National Security

Allen West spoke at a Center for Security Policy event in New York City on the national security threats America faces, specifically in the Middle East.

Just for starters: Libya DOES NOT fit within the War Powers Act, and was unconstitutional from the get-go.

Rep. West exposes the role of the Muslim Brotherhood and its role in the “Arab Spring,” predicts the result of the draw-down of US troops, explains the need for secure borders for Israel, and warns of the dangers of Islamic infiltration and political correctness in the US.

He also points out that the rivalry between Iran and Turkey for hegemony over the Muslim world brings NATO into a potentially deadly conflict.

Watch it all; there’s much more in the video.

speaking of libya…i was wondering where the rebs were getting all these weapons and ammo

France has become the first country to openly admit it has supplied the Libyan rebels with weapons – a measure officially banned by the UN Security Council resolutions 1970 and 1973.

A French military spokesman, Colonel Thierry Burkhard, said the arms, including machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades, as well as munitions, were parachuted in to besieged rebels.

He says later in the video that it isn’t the right time for him to be running. Seems as though he wants to build up a platform, get some name recognition, make a big case for people taking an interest in foreign policy.

(Military.com) — A U.S. senator wants U.S. special operations forces to help Israel halt a Gaza-bound international aid flotilla that includes a vessel carrying a number of American veterans, one of whom is a Sailor who served aboard the USS Liberty, the ship that Israel infamously attacked in 1967.

In a report drafted following a visit to Israel in early June, Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., says the United States should “make available all necessary special operations and naval support to the Israeli Navy to effectively disable flotilla vessels before they can pose a threat to Israeli coastal security or put Israeli lives at risk.”

The U.S.-flagged ship, called “The Audacity of Hope” — the name of President Obama’s 2006 book — is currently docked in Greece and is supposed to set sail by the end of this week along with ships from Ireland, Spain, Italy, Greece and other countries. More than 30 Americans are booked for passage on the Audacity of Hope.

While Kirk is pushing for a direct U.S. military role in halting the flotilla, six Democratic congressmen want assurances from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that she will work with Israel to ensure those aboard the American ship are not harmed.

    APARTMENT FOR RENT

A businessman met a beautiful girl and agreed to spend the night with her
for $500. They did their thing, and, before he left, he told her that he did
not have any cash with him, but he would have his secretary write a check
and mail it to her, calling the payment “RENT FOR APARTMENT.” On the way to
the office, he regretted what he had done, realizing that the whole event
had not been worth the price. So he had his secretary send a cheque for $250
and enclose the following typed note:

    >> “Dear Madam: Enclosed find a cheque for $250 for rent of your apartment.
I am not sending the amount agreed upon, because when I rented the place, I
was under the impression that: #1 – it had never been occupied; #2 – there
was plenty of heat; and #3 – it was small enough to make me feel cozy and at
home. However, I found out that: #1 – it had been previously occupied, #2 -
there wasn’t any heat, and #3 – it was entirely too large.”
Upon receipt of the note, the girl immediately returned the check for $250
    with the following note:

” Dear Sir: #1 – I cannot understand how you could expect a beautiful
apartment to remain unoccupied indefinitely. #2 – As for the heat, there is
plenty of it, if you know how to turn it on. #3 – Regarding the space, the
apartment is indeed of regular size, but if you don’t have enough furniture
to fill it, please do not blame the management. So, Please send the rent in
full plus additional late fees or we will be forced to contact your present
    landlady.”

It’s a legally declared blockade. My vote is to sink all blockade runners that refuse to ‘hove to’ at the request of the Israeli Navy.

Yes, but it is very important to Israel that it does not and never has asked any foreign Gov to send troops to defend it. “Yes send us Arms so we can defend ourselves, but we can fight the fight ourselves.” That is a very important tenant of Israel

    @ vagabond trader:
Of course it is a provocation…which is why asking the State to protect Americans onboard is even more ridiculous. Please protect them while they are committing a criminal act?? WTF??

I just hate to see Israeli Commandos taking unnecessary risks when they have a couple of ships mounting 76mm deck guns that can deal with blockade runners safely from a distance. If a shot across the bow doesn’t stop them put the next round into the hull at the waterline. That’s sure to get their attention.

I saw that. What I would like to know is how the heck did they do it without being given away by the noise produced by cutting through a propeller shaft???

That’s still a lot of steel to cut through and even a LASER would produce a lot of steam and noisy bubbles. However it was done, it was a neat trick.

Limpet mines placed by a scuba diver will disable the props. Blow a hole in the ship and send it to the bottom with all hands.

French AND Brits were allied with Turks and other ululating rabble against the Russians in centuries past. Imperial Russia was pretty good about slapping mohammedans around. Now? Not so much :(
