Man With World’s Longest Legs Owns World’s Largest Dog

“Though it didn’t really register, George’s paws were comically large even then. But all we saw was this cute puppy.

“We certainly never dreamed he would one day become the biggest dog in the world, standing nearly 4ft high at the shoulder, 7ft long and weighing nearly 18 stone. Right now, he just looked bewildered.”

All I could think of when I saw that photo was, “Dang. Dude’s got some big feets.” His legs-to-torso ratio look to be about 3 to 1, making him a  human composite of Numbers 2, 4 & 6 below:

Whatever your shape, or whatever shape you’re in, pull up a seat, kick off your shoes and put up your dogs, ’cause it’s time for The Overnight Open Thread.

    OT~

6 people have been arrested in Oslo in connection with the bombing (Just like Rodan said: there will be more people who think this way). They are of Eastern European backgrounds. They were taken away in their underwear.

The police have coordened off quite a distance from the place of the arrest. The Oslo Bomb Squad is at the scene:

Lot more weird stuff showing up on the news in Norway, right now: a couple of guys just shot a person in the head. The person is in critical condition in the hospital and the two guys who did this are on the loose.

    Why is this weird?

Because people are rarely, if ever, shot in Norway. It is usually done with a knife.

There is some kind of craziness in the water, there, I fear….

We just had a shooting here in Washington state where 13 people were shot. The news Media was careful not to note that it was a La Raza associated event and that gang members had it posted online. It was just unknown shooter shoot 13 people no motive known. The very next news story was about the Norway shooting where the detail of the manifesto was put online, the shooter named, and motives implied.

    I summed it up:
So the bullies accuse us of bullying.
Those on the team who earn billions accuse us of taking money.
Those who repeat illogical error after error tell us we can’t think.
Those who don’t know what evidence is think we don’t have any.

I owned a ’76 Fiat X1/9 for eight years and never had any major problems with it. Did replace a couple of fan belts, voltage regulators, and a heater control valve. Not too bad for eight years in Minnesota. Finally had to get rid of it because of rust, that kills a lot of cars here.

The real scandal about the Norwegian tragedy is the failure of the police:

Norway Attack: 90 minute police delay gave killer time to lure some to their deaths

Inept Norweigan cops couldn’t locate a helicopter or a boat, allowing the gunman to shoot down his victims for 90 minutes before help arrived.

By that time, the mass murderer in a police uniform had methodically slaughtered 85 victims.

The terrified victims fleeing Anders Behring Breivik ran and swam for their lives as they waited in horror for help that came too late for many, officials said yesterday.

A SWAT team dispatched to the killing field on Utoya island about 50 minutes after the first report of gunfire went by car because their helicopter wasn’t on standby, said Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim.

After the 20-minute ride, the emergency response was delayed another 20 minutes when the team couldn’t find a boat to reach the island just a few hundred yards offshore, he said.

    Snip

Although police wouldn’t cross the frigid water to the island without a boat, teens desperately trying to flee the carnage swam to safety.

    Snip

The persons in charge in the police as well as well as in politics should be tarred and feathered, send to prison and the keys thrown away.

“Democracy” has become a buzzword for the Left here in the States, as though “what the people want” is their agenda.

I didn’t see the linked piece, but I’m assuming that the PM’s statement insinuated that “more democracy,” in this instance, actually means more “tolerance” and, by definition, dhimmitude to appease the Muslim population under the guise of “diversity.”

More of an attitude concept than actual policy.

I’m more concerned about the fact that nearly all European states are now calling for more restrictions in the political landscape. They take the tragedy as a cheap shot against “right wingers” in general.

Did they ever call to restrict environmentalism because the UNA-bomber Kaczynski based his terrorism on environmentalism ?

Did they ever call to restrict social democracy as the environment of left-wing terrorism (RAF, Action Directe, Brigate Rossi, JRA etc.) ?

This is always the way the Left movesw. The perpetrator had unrestricted access to his victims for an hour and a half, yet you will see no public cry for allowing more people to carry guns, not even here in the United States, even though that simple measure would have dramatically cut the death toll here. Mass Murderers rely on passive and unarmed victims, and yet with every mass murder the cry is to make victims more passive and helpless.

    @ Iron Fist:

Yes it drives me crazy that there is no public outcry about the failure of the police. Criminals/terrorists/mass murderers will always have weapons and they don’t care about rules.

  64. 64 | July 25, 2011 9:00 am

    @ Nevergiveup:

YOu can’t conceivably disarm all the bad guys in the world. The next logical step is that you want as many possible of the good guys armed. The Left never seem to bridge this. they think the evil gun will take possession of their sould if they carry a gun. Well, no one is saying that they must. I’ll be satisfied f they’ll just stay out of the way of those of us who do, but they never seem to want to do that.

I submit that all of those who push for gun regulation out of FEAR do not deserve to live in the United States, as they are apparently unwilling to accept the responsibility that comes with citizenship.

There’s plenty of world with tight gun laws.

    Go f*cking move there.

They only want the rights that are convenient to them and fit nicely into their debate. They have absolutely no respect for the intricate and beautiful synergy of freedoms that our Constitution outlines and can see no reason to uphold the rights that they are uncomfortable with.

We are fast becoming a nation of ignorance, and it’s highly unlikely that all of a sudden our schools will start teaching the Federalist Papers.
