I don’t know what this continued fascination with the JDL is? It’s a fringe organization with a less than reliable past internationally on both sides of the Atlantic.

I’m not sure if you mean ours or Canada’s but I would imagine that on their part it stems from a Leftist need to find “terrorists in all groups”.

That being said, I challenge anyone to read the writing of Meir Kahane (founder of JDL in US) and show me where he was mostly wrong.

I don’t know anyone who belongs to the JDL, so I’m not a source. What I observe, however, is that the JDL is on the forefront of a lot of issues involving anti-Semitism in Canada as well as supporting Israel in general. They do not advocate violence. Whenever they demonstrate against, for example, Palestine House, the police are always watching the JDL instead of the far larger numbers of Islamists. This seems to happen everywhere, imo, due to political correctness and the GLOBAL stink that would arise if an actual Muslim got a hair on his head touched. Terrorism works only if you are Muslim. For a backward barbarian ‘culture’ they sure have the West on their side. I wonder what happens when the West shows more economic weakness and the jizya stops flowing?

Well, I really didn’t see it that way. Especially because it was not I, but “1389AD” who posted the post in the first place. I was simply commenting. I presume that I continue to say the “same thing” because my opinion hasn’t changed. I am confused however how my commenting is “pimping the same topics”.

All of that being said, these topics are not why I parted ways with the Blogmocracy before. It was a personality conflict with the staff here. But I really don’t want to get into all of that stupidity. I have obviously gotten over/past it (so to say).

    Wrath,

There are many who disagree with us on many things—and no CW this comment is not directed at you— and even with our agreements on certain areas of social-politics as it pertains to everyone who espouses the Judeo-Christian ideals, especially when it pertains to the Law and all that follows we ourselves can come to a disagreeable cul-de-sac as it were.

But for me, it is the many things that we do share in conviction that overrides those issues that may separate us.

Finding common ground is the heart of the matter, because it is nearly impossible to gather under one umbrella those who come from varying life experiences.

    @ Bumr50:

The entire idea that Representatives, simply doing their job and representing the people who elected them, could “hijack” the Government, and “hold it hostage” is ridiculous. It is simply an attempt to frame the argument and devalue the Representation of Tea Party voters.

Humorously, what occurred is exactly what is supposed to occur, the “Tea Party candidates” stood on principle and represented those who brought them into power. This, of course, is something that our present mainstream politicians, and electorate obviously don’t understand.

Democracy is just so inconvenient when everyone doesn’t agree with you, Libs, now isn’t it?

NEW YORK, Aug 2 (Reuters) – The S&P 500 turned negative for the year on Tuesday as the wrangling over the U.S. debt ceiling faded and investors turned their attention to the stalling economy.

The broad-based index fell for a seventh day and crashed through the key 200-day moving average in an ominous sign for markets. The seven days of losses mark the longest losing streak since October 2008.

“It is going to be a long week,” said Jim Maguire Jr., a NYSE floor trader at E.H. Smith Jacobs. “The bid is not here in the market.”

The selloff accelerated into the close as volume jumped well above average. The fall was broad-based, with four stocks falling for every one rising on the New York Stock Exchange.

The index also broke through its 2-1/2 year uptrend line from its bear market low in March 2009. Thursday was the index’s worst day in a year.

For a graphic on the S&P 500 see, graphic r.reuters.com/dug92s.

Investors seemed to find little to cheer after the U.S. Senate agreed to a deal to raise the debt ceiling because of the possibility it will not stave off a downgrade of the U.S. government’s triple-A rating.

Investors have made the shift from Washington to what I’m calling economic realities,” said Fred Dickson, chief market strategist at The Davidson Cos. in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

But, don’t you know? It’s Jews and Christians who misunderstand their religions, by corrupting their scriptures (textually and interpretively) and refusing to accept Muhammad, as their scriptures supposedly instruct them to! To the Mu’min, true Judaism, true Christianity is Islam; today’s Judaism and Christianity, rejecting Muhammad and the Qur’an, opting for obedience to tawagheet (idolatrous “man-made” concepts) instead, is Shirk, the worst dhulm (oppression).

Recent stuff is easy to find, because the online Congressional Record is the main version now. They do still print hard copies every day and send them out to the various archive sites across the country, but that’s just a backup these days.

There’s at least one archive location in each state, where they store a copy of damn near everything the federal government publishes.

The site in New Mexico is in the lower levels of the UNM main library stacks.

There’s one right around the corner from my old unit in Denver, underneath the National Archives building on the Denver Federal Center.

It’s a “continuity of government” thing, although most of it’s probably not essential.

I think we could get by after a nuclear war without copies of all the pamphlets printed by the USDA telling us what to eat, for example.

Some people might respond to this by thinking that Ron Paul has been smoking some of the wacky weed he wants to legalize, but he has a plan for avoiding imminent Debtpocalypse: Set $1.6 trillion in Treasury debt on fire.

More specifically, Mr. Paul, an energetic critic of the Federal Reserve, suggests the Fed simply take a match to the $1.6 trillion in Treasury obligations it currently holds on its balance sheet as a result of its various QE programs.

I betcha people would actually watch a reality show consisting solely of a houseful of ex and unemployed wide receivers.

I could call it ‘Incomplete Pad’ or ‘Offensive Interference.’

All I’d need was some seed cash.

    @ Nevergiveup:

If you ever catch his “Who Do You Think You Are” episode, you’d look at him differently. Bless his heart. He was full body sobbing when he finally found out (for sure) what happen to his grandmothers during the Holocaust.

He started the show with minimal family and found out he has a huge family in Israel.

    It was quite touching.

/still crazy as a loon but it did make me cut him some slack, lol!

Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal’s investment vehicle, Kingdom Holding, has announced that an associate company will partner with the country’s Bin Laden Group to build a tower near Jeddah that would replace Dubai’s 828m Burj Khalifa as the world’s tallest building.

Is it only me or does this whole article just piss the hell out of you?

The ‘roach’ Kingdom of the Desert. They buy wage slaves and keep actual slaves because they can’t figure out how to get the oil out of the ground. And they wear funny looking schmatas on their heads. (and those are the men)/

    Ugh. Islamophilia is a sickness.
Like when FOX News calls Ramadan a ‘holy’ month.
do they ever call Lent a ‘holy month’?
    or advent?
No…that would be racist or something.

Al-Waqidi must’ve been a racist for “recording” the following in his account of the early Islamic conquests…

We desire that you accept our Din and be reciters of the same Declaration which we recite. If not, then you will have to pay Jizyah. If you have a problem with that also, then the sword is the best decider…
Allah has commanded us: Fight those Disbelievers who are nearest to you and let them find you harsh against them [9:123]…
I have already stated your first choice is Islam, second Jizyah, third the sword.
