Apologize to Turkey? Netanyahu Tells Clinton, ‘No Thanks’

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has turned down U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s requests and will not apologize to Turkey for the IDF’s counter terrorist action that killed nine IHH terror activists in the flotilla clash a year ago, Army Radio reported Wednesday.

Senior members of the Cabinet have strongly opposed the apology that Turkey has demanded and they said that if anyone should say he is sorry, it should be Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. His country has funded and encouraged the IHH-terror linked organization in its effort to engage the IDF in conflict on the high seas by trying to challenge Israel’s sovereignty over the coastal waters of Hamas-controlled Gaza.

Likud Ministers Benny Begin and Moshe Ya’alon, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman of Yisrael Beiteinu and Interior Minister Eli Yishai of Shas have said that Israel has nothing to apologize for.

The Obama administration has been anxious to improve ties between Jerusalem and Ankara, which was friendly with Israel for two decades until the three-week counter terrorist Operation Cast Lead campaign in the winter of 2008-2009.

A United Nations report by the Palmer investigation committee is due to be published next week, but previously released reports stated that it determined Israel’s actions as legal but disproportionate. The report also is expected to partly blame Turkey for the confrontation, a charge that has caused Erdogan to work to suppress the report.

FYI, I would have also told the U.N to kiss my ass. You can read the rest of the article hereIsraeli.

It seems that the US is demanding that Israel apologize to those who came to kill them. Got that?
    A. Turkey attacks Israel (running a naval blockade is act of war).
    B. In doing so they bring guns, knives, clubs and attack practically unarmed soldiers.
    C. In self-defense, the attackers are subdued.
    D. The attackers demand that the victim apologize.
    E. The victim offers to do so under specific terms.
    F. The Attacker rejects the terms, and demands more.
    G. The U.S. (A supposed ally of the victim) gets involved and demands that the victim apologize to its attackers.

    Oy.

But, of course, that isn’t enough for Turkey. (is it ever?): Erdogan: Apology not enough, demands end of blockade. (don’t forget that the border between Gaza & Egypt is completely open)

‘Have You Ever Had Sex With Rick Perry?’ Ron Paul Supporter Behind Racy New Ad Talks With The Blaze

Politics can be a dirty game. During campaign seasons, both sides of the political aisle dig with fervor to find any and all personal information that they can be used to bring down their opponents. Even the media engage in this sometimes reckless activity, as evidenced in the pouring over of Sarah Palin’s personal e-mails.

But a bizarre political move by a Ron Paul supporter tops the charts when it comes to over-the-top political antics. Robert Morrow, 47, of Austin, Texas is looking for information that could hurt Gov. Rick Perry’s presidential prospects. To accomplish this goal, Morrow, who describes himself as a “self-employed investor and political activist,” has taken out a full-page advertisement in this week’s Austin Chronicle.

The ad boldly asks, ”Have you ever had sex with Rick Perry?” It continues: “Are you a stripper, an escort, or just a ‘young hottie’ impressed by an arrogant, entitled governor of Texas? Contact CASH, and we will help you publicize your direct dealings with a Christian-buzzwords-spouting, ‘family values’ hypocrite and fraud.”

At the bottom of the ad, a curious line appears: “Note to gay people: If you know the truth about Rick, please QUIT covering for him.” Of course, the rumor that Perry, who is not supportive of same-sex marriage, is, himself, gay has never been substantiated. On the extramarital affair front, Justin Elliott of Salon writes:

To be clear, there is absolutely no evidence that Perry has had extramarital affairs. But Morrow has written a screed, currently circulating online, that denounces Perry both for his policies (it labels him a “crony capitalist” and a “Neocon”) as well as his alleged dalliances.

Morrow claims that he knows strippers in Austin who have stories about Perry, but none of them are willing to come forward to the press; hence, the need for an ad in the Chronicle. “I think it’s only a matter of time until somebody credible comes forward,” he told me.

In a phone interview on Thursday morning, Morrow told The Blaze that only one stripper has come to him staking the claim that she slept with the governor “a few years ago.” When asked how he found the stripper, he said:

“[Rick Perry's] entourage and I like the same women. I’m not sure how much clearer I can be. I don’t really have much in common with Rick Perry…but one of the things we do have in common is strippers. You know, the young hotties — and I’ll leave it at that. [...]

There’s no doubt that Rick Perry has been running around with strippers, hookers and hotties.”

    Ewwwwwwwwww….

Chief David Martin says Waterbury firefighters routinely check abandoned buildings for fire hazards, and when four fighters left after a check at 48 Taylor Street, they “didn’t realize until they came out and got back on the engine that they were literally coated in fleas.”

“One of the guys described it as they had thousands of them, crawling on them. “

The firefighters were taken to Waterbury hospital to be undressed, scrubbed down and checked for flea-borne diseases, and the fire truck was professionally fumigated.

It certainly does when it’s run the way the Vietnam era draft was, anyway. The vast majority of those eligible weren’t required to serve, so it was really just a draft of people who didn’t have the right connections.

The WWII draft was different. People who were rejected actually tried to get in anyway, then.
