Greens diss Al Gore’s latest Climate Rant

Al Gore seems to have gone too far even for the Environmentalists. His 24 hour climate change reality show is getting negative feedback from the Climate Change crowd. They describe the special is as an apocalyptic rant. Gore even takes on a messianic image as some global savior.

Former Vice President Al Gore 24 hour climate “reality” show is surprisingly facing strongly negative reviews from Gore’s fellow global warming activists and environmental allies. In addition, two German scientists ridiculed Gore for his “apocalyptic” tone and his “promise of salvation.”

Climate activist Bob Ward was tepid about Gore’s show. “One could complain that some of the presentations overstated the certainty and wrongly implied that individual weather events could be attributed to climate change,” lamented Ward. Ward is the Policy Director, for the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Mike Shanahan, of the International Institute for Environment and Development, bragged that he purposefully avoided watching Gore’s climate telethon.

“I actually avoided the Goreathon, and I guess that says something in itself,” Shanahan wrote. He added that a journalist sent him a text declaring: “Gore gets gold for most boring and least galvanizing talk on climate, ever…That, and possibly damaging.”

Shanahan was blunt in his opinion of Gore: “Climate Change needs a Gandhi or a Martin Luther King or a Mandela, and Al Gore is none of those.”

Al Gore has lost the Green crowd. He is now an object of ridicule, even on his own side. I’m sure Prince Charles and Charles Johnson loved AL Gore’s special.

Global Warming alarmists don’t like AL Gore’s 24 hour special on Climate change. They view it as alarmist and to messianic. It

And those of us who knew from the get-go that the whole AGW gore-bull warming hoax was bullshit and nothing but a libturd scam to raise taxes and wreck our economy, even more the Obungler and the dimocrats have already wrecked it.

We also know, and have irrefutable proof, that it’s all a bunch of unscientific bullshit made up of lies, that used both manipulated and made-up scientific data as the basis for their scare-mongering.

Hey Algore, you fat pig- FOAD. And get a life, loser.

Shanahan was blunt in his opinion of Gore: “Climate Change needs a Gandhi or a Martin Luther King or a Mandela, and Al Gore is none of those.”

What they need is to debate honestly, instead of
treating people with legitimate objections as
anti-science idiots. They always seem to reduce
themselves to name calling when they are challenged.
Charles Johnson who obvioiusly has minimal education
palming himself off as a scientific mind is hilarious,
but the Climate Change Movement is peopled by
    people like him. Devolution.

    @ Urban Infidel:

They’ve had a year, and still don’t have their “one demand”…

    Dear patriots, rabble-rousers, revolutionaries,

On Saturday thousands of us will occupy Wall Street. We will wave our signs, unfurl our banners, beat our drums, chant our slogans … and then we’ll get down to business and hold several people’s assemblies to decide what our “one demand” will be.

Shall we demand that President Obama reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act; outlaw flash trading; impose a 1% tax on all financial transactions?

These are good ideas but not very energizing.

This is what happens when you bring anarchists and Marxists together.

    They cancel out.

I expect Malik Shabazz & Co. and some Islamists to co-opt this event sooner or later.

Boehner better step up his game.

Tea Party Activist to Challenge Boehner in Next Primary

Tea Party leaders who have been pushing for a primary opponent against House Speaker John Boehner in 2012 for not keeping a campaign promise to cut more federal spending are getting their wish.

Tea Party activist David Lewis, a 26-year-old married father, announced Friday that he will challenge the Ohio Republican. But Lewis is mounting a protest candidacy on a single issue: Boehner’s support of a federal budget that provided funding to Planned Parenthood.

Lewis plans to unveil graphic anti-abortion ads on his website Monday.

“I’m not delusional. I don’t know if I have a chance at beating the speaker of the House,” Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “But what I can do is show the Ohio voters that Boehner has a box full of empty rhetoric. He doesn’t really vote for his convictions. He’s an establishment Republican. He doesn’t believe in the Tea Party. He doesn’t really believe in the pro-life issues.”

Lewis doesn’t live in Boehner’s district now; he lives in Rep. Jean Schmidt’s district. But he told the newspaper that he would move there if he wins the primary.

I don’t think that going the “pro-life” route as an explicit and solitary issue is either smart or effective.

But any challenge is a good challenge!

One of the largest problems is that there is just a grain of truth in what they say about Corporations and Banks. Those entities have managed to transcend borders and governments in a way that leaves the very notion of individualism behind. They want everyone to be a consumer and STFU. However, they have simplified the problems and have no solutions whatsoever.

In spite of the possible break-up of the European Monetary Union (broke and broker) the socialists still like the Marxist in Chief.
Plus, France is very happy to have the NATO bombed oil from Libya almost back online. People in Europe are rushing back to the “safety” of the U.S. dollar. Anyway, those are my opinions.

    The Buffet Rule?!

On the same day that crowds gathered to protest on Wall Street, reports have emerged that President Barack Obama will call for a new base tax rate for the wealthy on Monday. Looking to gain populist support and to put pressure on Republicans, the President plans to call on a rate that will ensure that millionaires “pay at least the same percentage of their earnings as middle income taxpayers,” according to administration officials who spoke with the New York Times Saturday.

“Mr. Obama, in a bit of political salesmanship, will call his proposal the ‘Buffett Rule,’ in a reference to Warren E. Buffett, the billionaire investor who has complained repeatedly that the richest Americans generally pay a smaller share of their income in federal taxes than do middle-income workers, because investment gains are taxed at a lower rate than wages.”

Does that mean n-one will have to pay ANY taxes like Buffett?

Your opinions out weigh mine big time! I knew France loves him (he so needs to be loved! blech!) because of Libya….but I cannot disagree with anything you have posted above at all. Luckily they can’t vote when the election comes in 2012! (Let’s hope they don’t!)/

Lump them all together, environmentalists, hippies, global warming alarmists, species extinction predictors, fossil fuel nazis, every fringe cause draws these nitwits like a moth to a flame. Growing up: Leaving behind naive glibertarianism
Ayn Rand is fun to read at 16 but embarrassing in its effects

When I was sixteen, I read the works of Ayn Rand. Specifically, I read the Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, which I reread several times, and some selected edited portions of her ‘philosophical works’.

The books made a large impression on me. I was a highly intelligent young man frustrated in the educational system, where I felt like I was being robbed of an education by being forced to be in class with a bunch of people who were, intelligence aside, completely unmotivated to learn

Hmmm, he was a “highly intelligent young man”
Thinks a lot of himself doesn’t he?
But wait, he went to college and had an epiphany.
He no longer digs Ayn Rand & now sees capitalism
as a “parasitic worm” All of that because he got
the guidance of college professors in not just how
to think, but also what to think.
What a blog of whiny cretins.

I’m pumped! My 20 yr. old niece has her first real boyfriend, and he’s a conservative, church-going 24 yr. old Republican (His whole family are all Republicans), and he will be going to law school next fall.

This called for something other than Bud Light, so I bought two 6 packs of Samuel Adams Octoberfest beer. 4 down, 8 to go! Great beer! :)

Yay! Gig ‘em. The TT-A&M rivalry is almost at the level of the A&M-UT rivalry. They really hate each other. Some off the chart rudeness at each match up.
