“Wot’s ‘Taters’?”

The Missus pulled up a weed last week. At least she thought it was a weed, but forgot we’d planted some taters in the garden, and now we have a home-grown po-tay-toh. The picture doesn’t do it justice -- believe me, it’s awesome, almost as awesome as this vid from 1991:

These awesome tubers are presented for the enjoyment of all spudfans, courtesy of The Overnight Open Thread.

    @ Calo:

This song samples froma mid 80′s Club song. I forgot the name.

But this song is just jamming here in Florida. I hear it on the radio every 15 minutes.

The utoobage makes me laugh with that video.

Unfortunately, I am subject to the spawn girl’s country music whenever we go anywhere. It depresses me.

I enjoyed torturing my roommate (the Obamabot) last night.

I had the AFN News channel on when he got home, which was showing the FNC Saturday business shows. They were discussing stupid crap like the so-called “jobs bill,” and Biden’s idiotic assertion that the private sector is doing fine.

Roommate insists that there’s nothing wrong with Social Security, and that it’s not broke. He also thinks the government should hire all the unemployed people, so more tax money will come in.

Of course, Pelosi believes the same thing, so he’s in good company…

44 is a fuk’n great age to be! Own it, and enjoy it. Happy Birthday, too!

    @ lobo91:
In a way, I think your roommate’s right. Fire the current government employees first and replace only 60% of them with anyone who’s never been employed by the government.

  38. garycooper

The only birthday that ever really bugged me was 50. I pouted about it for a week or so. Now, two and a half years later, I wish I had celebrated it more. It’s a cool landmark. But now I’m dreading 60…

You have exactly four days before everything you love turns to cardboard. In five days you get out the markers.

  41. NoThreat2U
    41 | October 23, 2011 1:24 am

    @ garycooper:
I am having a real hard time with this. lol I need to make some MAJOR changes in my life. But I am a person who is too careful, never takes chances…stuff like that. I guess 44 is still relatively young, and my kids are grown and I don’t have grandkids. I need to grab life by the horns. I am just too reserved to do so. Keep pumping me up though….I need the encouragement!

As for you turning 60, keep in mind that men get “dignified” when they are older, us chicks just age. lol

CHILD psychologists have said a woman photographed with a distressed child at the eviction of Occupy Melbourne protests on Friday could have exposed the child to long-term damage.

Every time I see that kids face, I want to rearrange the “mother’s”.

yesterday. Well I was disappointed, all of my teams
