Fox News will be hosting the first traditional-style debate this week prior to the South Carolina primary coming up this Saturday. CNN will be airing a debate on Thursday evening also from South Carolina. Tonight’s debate is sponsored by Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and the South Carolina Republican Party. It will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center featuring five of the GOP hopefuls as they battle for South Carolina delegates and beyond.
Participants: Romney, Perry, Gingrich, Santorum, Paul
Tags: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul

weaselzippers is saying Santorum is winning…..in Iowa
So is this the 1000th or 1002nd debate for this primary?
They could abandon the infighting during the debates if the damn moderators were not sitting there with popcorn going “fight! fight! fight!”
Get him Rick!!!
SMACK!!!
Ромни…BUSTED!
Santorum is ripping Romney a new one.
@ Runner:

Santorum is feisty tonight.
@ waldensianspirit:
Inaccurate negative ads.
Hopefully, either Santorum or Gingrich will defeat Romney in South Carolina. At this point, anybody before Paul, and Romney in that order.
@ Bumr50:
Ah, good solid ground
*outsider question*
If Romney wins the SC primary its that pretty much the nail in the coffin as far as the nomination goes or could it drag on longer with him winning each primary. I’ve never really followed the presidential nomination process in the past.
Also, does it have anything to do with the size of Mitt Romney’s penis?
@ Rodan:
Seems like it, doesn’t it?

Magic Underwear vs Power SweaterVest. Which will win?
Romney turns every answer into a stump speech full of sweeping platitudes.
Ron Paul looks like he is sucking on a lemon.
He wants to cut military money not defense money? WTF?
@ tuco:
The first question, it depends upon his margin of hypothetical victory. If Santorum or Gingrich gain a close second, either of them could gain momentum for later states. With the proportional delegate rules that went into effect this year, that could easily translate into better funding and organization for later on down the road.
You are on your own for the second question.
Paul is nuts.

@ Bumr50:
He polls well because most GOP voters are Sheeple. They do what the establishment tells them to do.

I give Obama the edge in November. His people love him and will go all out for him. Our side will be getting drunk and voting out of duress. It’s actually sad.
@ eaglesoars:
I could tolerate Santorum, as long as he doesn’t preach or legislate morality from his office. And not everyone in PA hates Santorum. He was gotten rid of because his children attended a cyber school that was not affiliated with PA at the time, at the expense of his PA residential school district. Things have changed. And really, everyone needs to stop making predictions. Remember when we all thought it would never be possible for Bammy to get elected??? Nothing is a given yet. Where they’re screwing up is running the ‘next in line white guy in a suit’. Obama gets reelected when his campaign can call everybody who opposes him a racist. Not true, , , not right, , , but enough weak voters will be afraid of that. They gotta fight fire with fire. A minority VP candidate may neutralize some of that tactic but probably not enough.
Also, the Tea Parties have been relatively quiet but I think they’re just hanging back to see what’s gonna shake out. They will be a force in the election and none of the guys left say much about their issue. Money may be more powerful than race in this one.
