Welcome to the Weekend! Kick back and relax…
For some reason, one of the most perfect ‘pop songs’ didn’t make yesterday’s one hit wonder thread….
.
But, if there ever was a perfect pop song it’s this:
.
Enjoy your weekend! The Bar is open, can I get anyone anything?

finish studying…pour a murphy’s, take a sip…discover a clogged drain in the washroom.
RATS!

Crown and Coke here, and keep them coming.
Looks like I missed another music thread, among others.
Thinking about having to vote for Mitt Romney makes me feel a certain way.
After much soul-searching about this and elections past, I’ve come up with a very apt word to describe myself:
CHUMP.
On that note, I’ll take a Bombay Sapphire and tonic.

Well, a-Ha aren’t a one-hit wonder, at least not outside the US. Even in the US there were “The Sun Always Shines On TV” and “The Living Daylights” as well.
Think YOU’VE had a bad day?

A “choose life” logo on George Michael’s shirt. I wouldn’t have known.
Here’s the other guy. Andrew Ridgeley.

Here’s some T’Pau.
What was with men’s cuts back in the mid 80s?!
Zimriel wrote:
First I’ve heard that one. Doesn’t seem to have the same 80′s pop sound. A little edgier.

Oh, and who can forget Electronic. That first album was like a whole collection of A-sides.
The Ultimate one hit wonder…
Wait for it….
@ doriangrey:
ROFLMAO @ The Safety Dance! I loved that song. But I won’t tolerate any hatin’ on WHAM! George Michael is the hottest homo I have ever seen.
Wait for it…
Waaaiiit for it….

Hell, that’s a typical weeknight at the Brick abode. It just needs more midgets, some elephants jumping through burning hoops, a nosy neighbor peering through the privacy fence, and the occasional drunken outburst rising above the din, “Hold daddy’s beer and watch this.” Ok, not really.
And if we’re looking for guilty pleasures, between Depeche Mode and Erasure: Yazoo

Hanging in there. Blood work numbers seem to be getting better. Hoping I can get them where they need to be to get this diseased gall bladder out. lol I am tired of being hungry and missing out on good food. Good evening to you too. Enjoying your weekend thus far?
@ Zimriel:
Depeche Mode you say? Reach Out, Touch Goat!
They should have been a big hit, with their Skynyrd remnants….

coldwarrior wrote:
Whoa, really? I saw Depeche twice. Thought they did a decent job.
NIN ripped me off with their 90 minute “Fragile” tour. I think I only ever walked out on one concert, though, which was Franz Ferdinand’s.
The Cure’s Bloodflowers concert in Houston was the best one I went to. Four hours they played and every moment was awesome. And then a critic complained that it was “depressing”. (Er, that’s kind of the Cure’s point, genius.) And Marilyn Manson put on a good show as well, but then, no-one ever listened to Marilyn for their music; if they didn’t put on a show, they would suck.
@ coldwarrior:
You gotta be on some crazy shit to listen to that. LMAO
Stereophonics get a lot of Brit play -- not much here.
@ mawskrat:
Sarah needs to stick with her Andrea Bocelli duets. That was awful!

Have you tried the compressed gas drain de-blocker? I use it as a first resort, it’s great. Assuming it’s available in your market area…. it’s a little disposable can of some kind of compressed gas with a plunger and a set of different tips for fitting different drains, which is meant to be kept. Up here it’s about 20 bucks for the whole kit.
@ Formercorpsman:
See what I mean! Us womenfolk have to start taking back all the men that bat for the same team!
another Brit one-off….and for the record…there’s not a more masculine looking hot chick that isn’t a dude.

@ NoThreat2U:
Do it for mankind. Godspeed girl.
I am playing Rhianna’s S&M in your honor now.
@ Moe Katz:
Yeah, I just looked it up. It’s one of those nasty refrigerants.
@ Macker:
Is that a real song he did?
Moe Katz wrote:
well, there is that, and we would put our eye out with it.

Unfortunately, it is. George Michael got into a lot of Hot Water in the USA because of his depiction of his own Prime Minister, Tony Blair, as George W. Bush’s lapdog!
