The libs can lie all they want. But some of us know the truth! Wouldn’t you love to have this man as President? Or if not, Vice President? Or Speaker of the House? Of course, don’t expect to see this on any channel of the Obama-loving media…

The fact that the GOP establishment hates him makes this all the more respectable.

This guy’s awesome. And he’s absolutely right about how the Democrats truly feel about Blacks in America.

I think the man is awesome and like UI said, I would like to see him as our president one day.

My folks are actually vacationing in his district currently.

Dad says FL politics is nuts. Apparently, his district is right next to DWS’s.

She was having an event in a shopping district they were at last week, and the first thing my Dad says is: “Have you ever SEEN her ass, apart from her face? It’s HUGE!”

I guess it’s a pretty disproportionate ghetto booty.

Let’s assume, to be charitable, that there is no plain ordinary racism involved; while the Democrats are the Party of Racism, the GOP is certainly not entirely free of it.

So—assuming that is not a factor, understand that West is several things that “establishment” types find uncomfortable. First, he is a veteran, and a combat veteran at that. Military service is increasingly rare in the political class, and active service even more so. That means that the mere fact that West has commanded under fire and given and received fire and perhaps even killed a few people himself scares the living shit out of many of the people he encounters now as colleagues. They feel before him the way a nonobservant Jew feels when encountering a Hasid; they feel like one of those people in that dream where you’re taking the final exam without any clothes on. They feel naked and guilty and scared and ashamed. So they throw that back at him as dislike.

Then, too, there’s the fact that West came into office as part of the Tea Party insurgency, which means that he’s not someone who came up through the “normal” ranks. Worse than that, he seems to take that whole “Tea Party” thing seriously, and take his oath of office seriously too. This makes him uncontrollable and unreliable, which is another reason that the establishment dislikes him.

Oh, come now—you know better than that. Gratitude? Gratitude? Having to confront every day that someone they despise for his integrity is saving their asses, and that he is occasionally honest enough to not entirely hide that he knows it? You expect them to be happy about this? The only reason he’s lived this long—actually or politically—is that he scares the shit out of them.

  21. 21 | February 21, 2012 8:43 pm

Well he’s black. As a Minute Man and a TEA Party member I’m Ipso Facto a racist. Nevertheless I would love to see this man elected POTUS. I liked Herman Cain too, go figure.

Good post, Bob! I saw this on Sunday and watched the whole thing. Almost put it up myself. West has all of the attributes that I’m looking for in a Commander-in-Chief and none of the baggage of the current crew. I’ll vote for him the first chance I get.

Given the current contraception imbroglio, and the condition of the country—not to mention Obama’s recent efforts to claim the mantle of Reagan—I prefer the following:

The Devil went down to Georgia Chicago, he was looking for a soul to steal. (boy was he in the wrong town) He was in a bind ‘cos he was way behind and he was willin’ to make a deal. The boy said: “My name’s Johnny Barack and it might be a sin,
“But I’ll take your bet, you’ll never regret, ‘cos I’ll send them all to hell.”
