    Imported from the prior thread:

    Rodan wrote:
So they are gravitating to Poul because they think he will stop these wars.

It’s simpler than that. All the stupid in this country is not on the progressive side; there are plenty of people on the right who are just as into the quick fix as the lefties are. They are gravitating to Ron Paul because he is giving them stupid, easy-to-understand quick-fix sloganeering—and they do not have the mental equipment or the background to realize that Ron Paul’s quick fixes are just as useless as lefty quick fixes, because they are quick fixes.

Americans love quick fixes; fast food, crazy glue, prohibition, direct election of Senators, civil service, term limits, campaign finance reform, etc. Every damn time a quick fix is tried it doesn’t work, and creates more problems. Does this encourage Americans to learn from their mistakes? Not on your life. The failure of a quick-fix means that the next quick-fix must be demanded—and we can’t wait! in the words of the current White House occupant.

Quick fixes are invariably bullshit. They are always sought so that people can apply them and roll over and go back to sleep—which always, without fail, leads to the creeps gaining control.

Ron Paul is the Prophet of the Quick Fix. That is why no matter what he proposes—no matter how good, or how bad—he himself is political poison. He is an advocate for the worst possible process in American politics.

    Rodan, its the re-election money.

Its the people who do not vote.

The commie Democrats have this loon left base of 20% of their party.

The RINO establisment part of the Republican party is only at best 35 to 40% of the Republican base.

These two only make up 30 to 40% of the people who could/should vote.

All we have to do is scare/push/motivate the non voters and its is all fixable.

So, the Democrat commie party of cut and run from Vietnam are correct now on cutting and running from Afganistain.

Stand and fight, do not build schools or roads, if we leave now the nukes in Pakistain will be in the hands of the most evil cult ever known to man.

Cutting and running is not a way out, it is the way to world wide death and destruction.

We do not have to be the worlds police squad but we should be the ones they fear lest they be dead as door nails.

    Sun Feb, 26 2012
(The Times of Nigeria) — Angry worshippers at the headquarters of Church Of Christ In Nations (COCIN) in Jos on Sunday killed one of the two suspected bearers of the explosives that hit the Church in the morning.

… the bomb carrier jumped out of the vehicle just before the blast went off and attempted to run but could not move as he was affected by the blast.

The angry worshipers, however, descended on him and clubbed him to death….

The true believers will fall HARD, but aren’t the root of the problem.

Some of these poor bastards actually buy their own BS.

The ones that either know it’s BS, or aren’t sure but don’t really care as long as either the money keeps rolling into “green” things or are simply using it as a means to a Statist end are the evil bastards that need taken out.

Unfortunately, this type is much smarter than the former and have already moved on from the failing “climate change” extortion racket into things like “sustainability,” as discussed here in a post by CW about “manacles.”

Iran’s “A Separation” wins best foreign language Oscar, first one awarded tonight!

I’m not watching, never would. A friend posted it on facebook. Right off the bat, the very first Oscar, and of course when the scumbag accepting it describes Iran as “a glorious culture, a people who respect all cultures and civilazations, and despise hostility and resentment!”, all the lib swine attending give the POS a standing Ovation. I wouldn’t mind an al Qaeda attack there…

It’s not the medium, it’s the message. A conservative based daily news analysis, I believe would fare significantly better than its Left leaning “competition.”

I looked it up. It’s not about a couple going thru a divorce. It’s about a couple facing a choice: stay in Iran and take care of the husband’s alzheimer’s afflicted father or leave the country to give their daughter a better opportunity for a good life. Hence, the divorce.

I haven’t seen the movie nor any of its competitors, but just because it’s out of Iran doesn’t make it off limits. Who knows? It may have taken great courage to make it and get it released.
