Media Matters, which is an arm of the Progressive movement and where Charles Johnson gets much of his smears from, now has a new enemy. Allen Dershowitz is tired of the website’s antisemitism. He is now going to make their bigotry an election matter.
Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, a leading Democratic lawyer who takes a hawkish line on Israel, has declared a personal war on the liberal group Media Matters, which has branched out into sharp criticism of Israel.
“Not only will [the Media Matters controversy] be an election matter, I will personally make it an election matter,” Dershowitz, a professor at Harvard Law School, told WABC’s Aaron Klein today.
Dershowitz has been sharply criticizing Media Matters for weeks, but suggested for the first time today he intends to drive the controversy into the political conversation.
“I don’t know whether President Obama has any idea that Media Matters has turned the corner against Israel in this way,” he said. “I can tell you this, he will know very shortly because I am beginning a serious campaign on this issue and I will not let it drop until and unless [writer and activist MJ] Rosenberg is fired from Media Matters, or Media Matters changes its policy or the White House disassociates itself from Media Matters.”
Media Matters is like LGF. It’s a smear website that needs to be called out. One thing I will disagree with Dershowitz on. The Obama regime and Democratic donors know full well about Media Matters and their antisemitism. They agree with it. Wake up Allen, the Left is not your friend.

I’ve been surprised to see Dershowitz not towing the line for every single leftist cause. Maybe it was about Israel, but I’m thinking he came out for the conservative point of view on one or two other issues.

Yes, he defended the Catholic Church 2 years ago during the whole pedophile priest stuff. Israel is a red line for him. I hope he comes out against the False Messiah.
Like we’ve all been saying here for years, the vast majority of anti-Semitism (and racism) comes from the left and the dimocrat party, including “soft bigotry”- the left’s perception that blacks are too stupid and ignorant to succeed without the help of guilty white liberals, who have made black’s lives in America worse for over half a century.

I may not always agree with Dersh (OJ and Bush v. Gore) but heaven help him, Dersh is articulate and when he believes in an issue, he is in it to win it. Brock will look like the hamburger aisle at Food Lion when Dersh is done with him.
