Russia Sends Troops To Syria, To KILL terrorists of all things! Have you ever heard of anything so silly! /
Syria is a Russian client, we know that. We also know that AL-Qaeda is in Syria battling the Assad regime.
Al-Qaeda are terrorists. Russia has in an anti-terrorist task force to kill them.
Now the Russian Black Sea fleet’s Iman tanker has arrived in the Syrian port of Tartus on the Mediterranean Sea with an anti-terror squad from the Russian Marines aboard according to the Interfax news agency. The Assad government has insisted it is fighting a terrorist insurgency. The Russian news reports did not elaborate on the Russian troops’ mission in Syria or if they are expected to leave the port.
I’m going to bet that Putin doesn’t order them to build schools or to win hearts and minds.

Should be none of our business what is going on in Syria. The MB is trying to topple assad. Nothing good about assad, but what would be worse is MB taking over the country.
So with Russia sending troops into Syria should be an endgame to obama trying to go there.
Hopefully he will not with Russia already involved.

The Russians were also clamping down on Turkey to stop their belligerence toward Cyprus and Israel over the gas finds under the Mediterranean.

Are There or Aren’t there Russian Troops in Syria?
Now, some news reports say the Russian’s claim they’ve just sent a Navy tanker to support anti-piracy operations in Middle Eastern waters and that any troops aboard that ship are simply there to protect the tanker’s civilian crew and that there are no Russian counterterror troop in Syria. Now, the ship is docked in the Syrian port of Tartus on the Mediterranean Sea. That’s a very long way from the Gulf of Aden in the Indian Sea — the site of most anti-piracy ops. Hey, it could just be making a brief port call. Oh wait, other reports say the ship, and its complement of Russian marines, is in Tartus “to demonstrate Kremlin concern over Syria’s stability, and to assist in case of a possible evacuation of Russian civilians from the region”
