The only thing to my way of thinking (more tin foil please) that keeps him on his path of destruction is fear. And it’s not fear of information being released, either. No. The only thing to make sure your guy doesn’t go off your reservation is fear. It has to be something more profound, closer to home. Just my opinion. He got a taste of the good life and liked it.
There’s a lot of wedges that can be applied to a good man to make him do things he knows are wrong. Even more wedges to a man who isn’t but wants to be thought of as good.
I can’t think of any other explanation.
