The ‘arab spring’ so called -- is just the beginning of many many years of instability and increased violence in that part (huge part) of the world, and beyond. The current regime cannot claim credit for thier epic fail in the foreign policy realm; therefore, they will re-frame it as a huge success. And, if you don’t realize how wonderful the further rise of Islamism is, it’s because you’re just too stupid.

This preoccupation with “war” is misguided. We should end “The War on Poverty” first; it’s gone on far longer, claimed far more lives, cost far more and has been far more destructive than all of the other wars in this century and the last century, combined.
